Welcome to the Support Communities!
The first thing I would suggest is to quit the Mac App Store application. Then go to the Apple - My Apple ID website and click on "Manage your Apple ID" to confirm your settings. If you can't remember your password, you can reset it from this website.
The next thing I would try is to open your iTunes application, and on the menu bar, click on Store > View Account. Make sure your billing information and shipping details are correct. (You may be requested to re-enter your credit card security code, then be sure to click Done).
Finally, restart your computer and launch the Mac App Store and try your purchase again.

I am trying to use firefox as the web lauch for citrix ica client but when I go to login into remote site - I get the message waiting to find website but it nver finds the website. Has anyone else had this problem?
When I installed firefox, it asked if I wanted to use safari settings and I said yes but I think this might be causing the problem. Safari is no longer compatible with citrix ica client. When I reinstalled firefox it automatically installs the safari info. Does anyone know how to re-install firfox without installing safari info?Did anyone ever suggest you reset your PRAM?

Thanks for the suggestion... but I think my first question would be why these parameters would need re-setting? This is a new machine... It has never been shut down hard. It is used at most 10 hours per week... mostly using Office 2004 for MAC. I need to figure this out as I will soon need it as a Cs2/CS3 - Aperture workhorse.
I too agree that it is best not to use a sledge when a scalpel is needed... but as a novice to the MAC world I may have been misled by Apple support. I seems to have fixed the symptoms ( some) but appears NOT to have addressed the cause... which is what I am after.
Would TechTool Pro detect a bad HD or RAM?

Just downloaded Creative Cloud yesterday but this morning it will not open how do I get it to open?

Try deleting the entries from the Movies part of your library (i.e. where you are trying to play them) and see if you get the cloud symbol next to them for re-downloading in the Purchased link

Did you, by chance, change anything about the Buttons, like the font, or size used, or their spacing on the Menus?
By the DVD specs., Buttons cannot overlap, by even 1 pixel. The PrE Template Menu Sets are designed, so that there are no overlaps, but if one increases the font size, or even change fonts (in some cases), there CAN be an overlap.
A Button is defined as a rectangle, that encompases ALL elements that make up the Button.

When I select check for updates in iTunes it says it is current and the OS is so old I dont even have an option to check for updates on the phone...

Hi, I am trying to find out if i can download a movie to my Ipad.
I have a movie that i have downloaded using Itunes on my IMac at home. But I forgot to sync the Ipad to the Mac.
Now i would like to watch the movie BUT i am away for a period of time and need to down load it to my IPad direct.
When i have tried to do this Itunes wants to charge me again for a movie I have already bought.
IS there a way of downloading a movie to the IPad with out paying again. Icloud doesn't want to work on it either.

P.Unless you are in the US with a US iTunes account then you can't re-download films for free (and not all film studios are currently allowing their films to be re-downloaded).

I have tried to download 2 movies onto my iPad but I keep getting a download error message. What do I do now? I have already tried turning the iPad off and on again…still nothing.
Try closing iTunes and reset your iPad. After the iPad starts up, try the download again.
To close an app, drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the iTunes app then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up. -
Trying to download a movie on my iPad and constantly receive a download error tap to retry. iPad has enough capacity.
Tap to retry to download and when it starts attempting to download again tap on the pause button. Once it is paused, tap the button again to resume the download. However you need to be really fast doing this!
