I'm trying to download Office 365 Home Premium,

I've downloaded Office 365 but when I try and open it from downloads I get "no mountable file system". Can someone please help me with this as I'm not very computer literite and don't have a clue! I bought the package from The Good Guys and its fully compatible for Mac, is there something else I need to download on my computer to open these files?  Any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks, Dave

Usually when I get that, it means the installer disk image wasn't quite downloaded completely. It usually means I have to try downloading it again. If it downloads successfully, it should probably have a .dmg, .pkg, or .zip filename extension at the end. If the filename ends in .download, it didn't finish.

If a phone is sold from one friend to another and wants to use it on a different carrier the friend can contact the carrier it was sold by to request it unlocked.  I know AT&T, Verizon, and Sprint will give you the steps to unlock it as long as the original contract it was bought under has been completed.  eBay/Craigslist is really not the best place to try to get "unlocked phones" from, if it turns out the phone isn't unlocked then I'm really sorry you got stuck with that one and as stevejobsfan said above I would report them immediately and see if you can recover your money.  I sell phones for a living and this happens a lot

    Hi,
Which Office 365 Home Premium editions did you install? 32bit or 64bit? Office 2013 doesn’t support running side-by-side installations of 64-bit and 32-bit versions of Office. For example, you can’t install Office 2010 32-bit side-by-side with Visio
2013 64-bit. This applies to both Windows Installer (MSI) and Click-to-Run installations of Office 2013. If you try to do this, you'll receive the error message and be prevented from continuing:

To resolve your issue you can install Office 365 Home Premium 64 bit + Visio Professional 2013 64 bit version.

  • Office 2010 and Office 365 Home Premium

I had a free trial of Microsoft Office 2010. When 365 was introduced I decided to purchase it. I purchased Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium. I ran the install and can sign on to Sky Drive and see recent documents etc. I also have a Surface that I use
SkyDrive with. The issue is that I still have the trial version of 2010 on my computer and whenever I open Excel or Word etc to start a new document or file or to open an existing, it says that my trial is expired. When I try to enter my product key to upgrade
it says that that is not the right product key, it wants one for 2010. How do I resolve this? I shouldn't have to open a browser and use a web app when I'm on my computer, right?

If you purchased O365 Home Premium, the product key you purchased for that, will not be acceptable to Office2010.
You will need to download and install O365, and it's probably best to uninstall the Office2010 trial.

  • Office 365 Home Premium Skype Subscription Element

i've recently purchased a 7" linx win8.1 tablet which also came with a years subscription to Office 365 Home Premium including an hour of skype minutes.
these free minutes are showing on my skype account page so i'm puzzled that when i tried to make a call i'm told i dont have any credit to do so.
what is going on here?  my free hour expires on January 19, 2015 and that's daylight robbery if im unable to use these minutes before then!
i was trying to call Chile from the UK & UK to UK landline - both countries are on the list of available destinations.

    Hello,
In order to associate the world minutes subscription with a different Skype account you must first deactivate the original account, then associate the subscription with a new Skype account from your "Office account page". If you activate the Skype World Minutes subscription on another account, you will have a full 60 minutes package again.
Note: A Skype account can be deactivated once every 60 days. If you attempt to deactivate an account a multiple times, an error message will be displayed at each attempt.
Please follow these steps to deactivate the original account:
1- From the Office My Account page in the section Account Options, click View my Microsoft account.
2- Click View Subscriptions. The subscriptions associated with the Microsoft account are displayed
3- Click the Skype subscription you want to manage and click Manage. The Skype
subscription options are displayed. Click Deactivate Skype world minutes
4- Then click Deactivate to complete the cancellation
After that you can activate your Skype World minutes with an another Skype account by clicking on Get started with Skype and following the steps.

  • Office 365 Home Premium (2013) vs Excel Standalone (2013) - Looking for Power Pivot

Hi I have read a few comments here on this site but still have a question about the topic.
I currently have an OEM Office 365 Home Premium with Excel 2013 in it but no power pivot available. My objective is to get Power Pivot. Can anyone advise how can I do that? I installed my Office 365 using Click-To-Run so I don't think this allows me to disable
any specific application e.g. Excel 2013 that's bundled with the rest of Office 365 I purchased.
I heard that Excel 2013 Standalone can be bought and downloaded and it does come with power pivot add in. Is this true? If so can I buy the Excel 2013 standalone then run it side by side with the Office 365 Home Premium I have now installed or
will it clash and have issues when used together ?
MS official sites say you can only get the power pivot as add in if you purchase Office 365 Plus. I'm a bit confused. If that is true does it mean the Excel Standalone has no power pivot available?
Thanks and I'm looking for any seasoned user who can share their experience using Excel 2013 standalones or users with 365 having version 15.0.4649.1001
    Thanks - Felix

    Hi,
Power Pivot are available in the Office Professional Plus and Office 365 Professional Plus editions, and
in the standalone edition of Excel.
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/excel-help/start-power-pivot-in-microsoft-excel-2013-add-in-HA102837097.aspx
Then, please note the following thing when you install Office 365 and other Office version side by side.
As you said, Office 365 usually uses Click to Run version(C2R), and Office 2013 MSI on a system with Office 365 (Click to Run) is NOT supported, thus, we need to install the C2R version of Excel 2013 standalone edition.

  • Office 2013 Professional + Office 365 Home Premium - what happens?

I am currently using Office 2013's Excel where I have access to Power Pivot and Power View. This is a perpetual, non-subscription version of Office with the Professional Plus product key.
I am considering purchasing an Office 365 Home Premium license as well, so my family members can use Office on their devices.
Since Power Pivot and Power View (afaik) are not part of Office 365 Home Premium, I wanted to know if I can activate my Office with my Home Premium account but override Excel with the product key?
In other words, is there any way to make Excel behave like it is part of both O365 Home Premium as well as Office 2013 Professional Plus?

    Hi,
As far as I know, PowerView and Inquire, are only available on certain SKUs (versions). These include:
Office 2013 Professional Plus (available through Volume Licensing, MSDN and TechNet subscriptions)
Office 365 Professional Plus (available as standalone subscription)
Office 365 Professional Plus (available as part of the
    Office 365 Mid-Size Business,
Office 365 Enterprise Plan 3, or
Office 365 Enterprise Plan 4 offerings)
Excel 2013 Standalone Volume License and Standalone Retail 32-bit and 64-bit.
    I recommend you connect
Microsoft Customer center to get more detailed information.

  • Can't move "completed" items into folders using Outlook 2013 on a Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium Account using a work Exchange 2010 address

I've been in touch with several Microsoft support teams about this issue, and the latest move was to shove me off onto Pro support, but since I'm using a personal Office account, I'm hoping that through the community I can find a way to resolve this issue without
escalating through our IT department. I do not think this is an Exchange issues because I have previously used this product and method without resulting in this error on a Windows 7 32-bit AMD computer and a Windows 8 and 8.1 Professional 64-bit Intel computer.
    Here's my current specs:
    Windows 7 Professional 64-bit, service pack 1
    AMD A6-5400 3.6 GHz
    8GB RAM
    Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium
    Office updates automatically, version 15.0.4551.1512
About Outlook shows "Microsoft Outlook 2013 (15.0.4551.1511) MSA (15.0.4551.1508) 32-bit/Part of Microsoft Office 365 Home Premium"
Here's how to reproduce the issue:
    1) Open View Settings
    2) Select "Other Settings..."
    3) Disable "Use compact layout in widths smaller than XX characters" and enable "Always use single-line layout"
    4) Select "Columns..."
    5) Under "All Mail fields" add "In folder"
    6) Select any email
    7) Context-menu -> Find Related -> Emails in this Conversation
    8) Select "more"
    9) Sort by folder
    10) Select all messages from Inbox.
    11) Use Outlook's preset "Done" function and select a destination folder
    12) Watch Outlook fail to run "Done" and reset your UI without producing an error.
The first attempt to resolve this issue was to set up a new Outlook profile. This seemed to exacerbate the problem and resulted in Outlook providing an "Unknown error" before resetting the UI.
The second attempt to resolve this issue was to run "outlook.exe /resetnavpane". However, the nav pane does not appear immediately relevant to this issue.
The following similar steps also result in a crash, this time with an error:
    11) Flag all select message as Complete.
    12) Move all messages from Inbox to a destination folder.
This change in procedure results in the error "Cannot move the items. Some items cannot be moved. They were either already moved or deleted, or access was denied."
Help me, Microsoft Community. You're my only hope.

Import the calendar and contacts in Outlook.com. For contacts, export from Outlook as csv and import into Outlook by choosing the Other option (https://people.live.com/import/other?biciid=ImportCatalog)
You'll need to save the calendar as an ics file to import it. Select the calendar folder, the File, Save as an save as an ics.

  • My Outlook Data Files Are Now .OST - How Do I Backup & Recover Local Contacts (I'm using Office 365 Home Premium)?

I recently upgraded to Office 365 Home Premium and at the same time changed my email protocol from POP3 to IMAP4.
I've now noticed that my Outlook data files stored at C:\Users\username\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook are in .ost format.
I use the Calendar in my Microsoft Account as my main Calendar but I store some of my Contacts locally - which .ost  file will they be held in and how can I recover them if anything goes wrong?

    Hi,
A simple way to know which data file the Contacts are stored in, is to right click on the Contacts folder, click
Properties. Under General tab, find the
    Location of it.
We can export the contacts to a .pst file to back up them, for the detailed steps, please refer to this link below and read the information under
Export contacts to an Outlook .pst file:
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-in/outlook-help/import-contacts-HA102919678.aspx
If the data file is corrupted and you need to recover the data, we can choose Scanpst.exe from Microsoft:
    http://support.microsoft.com/kb/272227
In addition, if the email account you are using is an Microsoft Account, I suggest you choose Exchange ActiveSync instead of IMAP. Thus all the contacts are synced between your Outlook Client and the server, Calendars of the account will automatically be
added into Outlook, you don't have to add the calendars separately:
Add an Outlook.com or other Exchange ActiveSync mail account to Outlook
    http://office.microsoft.com/en-us/outlook-help/add-an-outlook-com-or-other-exchange-activesync-mail-account-HA104025313.aspx

  • Reinstalling office 365 home premium !

I had purchased office 365 home premium in sep-oct 2013, as there was hardware problem, need to reinstall office 365 but I do not have password key which was shared at the time of purchase....what's the right method to reinstall the same.

    Hi,
your Office365 purchase is attached to the Microsoft account established by you, at the time.
You need to login with that particular Microsoft account you used, to access your entitlement.
Your Microsoft account is like an email account, and has a password.
I purchased Office 365 Home.  How do I install Office on another computer?
    - If you purchased Office 365 Home or Office 365 Personal, you can reinstall Office at any time at
office.com/myaccount by signing in with your Microsoft account.  You do not need your Product Key to reinstall or install Office on additional computers.

  • Office 365 home premium

    Hi
I have an Offoce 365 Home Premium Skype subscription. It used to include landlines and cellphones. Now I just get landlines. Has the policy changed, or must I do something? I am in South Africa, which is a supported country.

    Hello Peter,
You can follow the instructions mentioned in the link provided by Don above to reinstall your Office.
Generally, you should login to "My Account" page with the Microsoft Account that associated with your
Office subscription. There you should have the option to download and install Office:

You probably need to uninstall your existing Office 365 from your computer first, if you want to do so, you can use this Fix It tool for the uninstallation:

  • Office 365 Home Premium free 60 minutes

I have a skype account that was set up using the same email address as the one associated with my Office 365. I installed Skype and went through the process of merging the accounts together, ending in a message telling me from now on I should use the email address as my Skype username login.
I then as instructed went to www.office.com/myaccount and there is no option to activate Skype world minutes under the "Services and Products" section. The only option below this is:
    "SKYDRIVE
Save your documents to SkyDrive to easily access and edit them from virtually anywhere.
    Visit SkyDrive"
What should I do, as far as I'm aware the Skype account has been linked but there is no option to activate the minutes.

I had this same issue in my computer. I tried these steps; repair office, remove and re install office. I have contacted Microsoftlive support they resolved my issue. They told that they removed old office files from registry and re install the office. Now it is working well.
