I can not seem to add people on iMessage

The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.5 (Mountain Lion preferred): the iCloud Preference Pane does not appear on earlier systems - the MobileMe pane appears on Lion and earlier but is non non-functional - you cannot now open or access a MobileMe account.
To make use of iCloud you will have to upgrade your Mac to Lion or Mavericks, provided it meets the requirements.
The requirements for Lion are:
Mac computer with an Intel Core 2 Duo, Core i3, Core i5, Core i7, or Xeon processor
2GB of memory
OS X v10.6.6 or later (v10.6.8 recommended)
7GB of available space
Lion is available in the Online Apple Store. To purchase Mountain Lion you will have to ring Apple at the number given at the bottom left of this page (it's no longer directly available in the Mac App Store) but there seems little point as the system requirements are the same for Mavericks - which is free - unless you need to run specific software which will run on Mountain Lion only.
The requirements for Mavericks are:
OS X v10.6.8 or later
2GB of memory
8GB of available space
and the supported models are:
iMac (Mid 2007 or newer)
MacBook (Late 2008 Aluminum, or Early 2009 or newer)
MacBook Pro (Mid/Late 2007 or newer)

It is available from the Mac App Store (in Applications).

If you are running Leopard on an Intel Mac you will have to upgrade to Snow Leopard to access the Mac App Store - it's available in the online Apple Store. However if you have a PPC Mac you cannot run Snow Leopard and cannot proceed further.

I just got my iPhone 4S and noticed that a friend of mine I texted is not getting iMessages, it remains a green text bubble. I can iMessage other contacts, blue bubble, and he says he can iMessage his other contacts but when we text each other it remain a regular text message. I know for a fact he's got an iPhone 4 with iOS5, I have iMessage turned on, he says he has his turned on as well. I've rebooted my phone but I'm not sure if he has. Has anybody seen this before?

well first make sure that when you click on the name of your iphone on the left hand side of itunes that you go to the app and music tab and check mark the sync apps and sync music. then try clicking apply in the bottom right hand corner. then if not try doing it again after going to prefrences in the top menu and going to devices tab and click reset sync history if that doesnt work with music try and drop and drag to the name of your iphone, lastly if that doesnt work you can try restoring from a backup from before you updated. it will keep the new software but put everything that was on your phone when you created the backup back onto your phone.

Correct. When you update via iTunes all synced media that is not in your iTunes library will be lost.

Imessage is not working for one person

My imessage is not working for one person.
Its been like this for about 2 days
I have an iphone 5
imessage is on
both phones reset network settings,deleted and remade contact, etc.

Does the other person have iMessage on, too? Is the specific phone number/address you are trying to reach them at show up for them in Settings > Messages > Send & Receive?

No sound. Mute is not checked, volume all the way up on iTunes and on status bar. What am I doing wrong or missing? I restarted last night and it worked before that but not since, any one have any ideas?

First off did you go to System Preferences > Sound > Output > And is the correct output selected?
Any red light coming out of the headphone jack? If so, you'll need to re-set the little switch in there by inserting a 3.5mm jack carefully in & out 20 odd times. Or grab a toothpick (non-conductive) and a flashlight.
Tried anything else that produces a sound? On restart do you get the chime? Perhaps check into Audio Midi Setup to ensure your output is selected correctly using the cog at the bottom left.

Originally I thought it was the old Moutain Lion DVD drive issue (but have had the drive recently replaced by Apple), so I tried creating a new account, which worked.
In the old account I have reset SMU, Pram... but no change.

Sounds like you may need to repair the Disk Permissions on your drive where your images are stored.

Once a device or computer is associated with your Apple ID, you cannot associate that device or computer with another Apple ID for 90 days.
Note: Removing a device from your Apple ID does not override the 90-day timer. You must wait 90 days from the day the device was first associated with your Apple ID before it can be associated with another Apple ID.
