I'm trying to Install Dreamweaver CS6 and Installer sticks on both machines at 25% - any ideas?

after some misapprehensions manage to start off the above install however the installer sticks on 25% on both machines (both virtual devices) located in India.  The Install hasn't failed yet - but the machines are up to 51 mins / 134 mins and climbing but refuse to go past 25% - any thoughts?

Russ2324 to clarify you are trying to complete an installation of Dreamweaver CS6 on a virtual machine?
In regards to your installation failure you will want to review the installation logs.  You can find information on how to locate and interpret your installation logs at Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6 - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html.

Make sure you are typing the correct serial key on the insallation screen of PS CS6. Also, check if you have redeemed the serial key correctly.

The first thing to try is Deleting Corrupted Cache in DW.  You must turn on hidden files/folders in your operating system to find them.

If that doesn't help, try Restore Preferences

If all else fails, use the CS Cleaner Tools below followed by a software re-install.

i have just bought and iMac and it was a display model but I'm trying to install iWork apps and its asking me to buy them. Any suggestions please

If it didn't start up with the Startup Assistant, did you erase the drive and reinstall the OS prior to starting this?
That is the best way to start given that it was a display model.
The free apps are tied to the Mac. If the store downloaded the apps from the App Store, you won't be able to do the same. You might want to contact App Store support: http://www.apple.com/support/mac/app-store/

  • Trying to install photoshop CS6 trial, installer initializes then dissapears

I'm trying to install the photoshop CS6 extended version trial, and when I start the installer, it opens the initializer, the bar fills, then it dissapears and nothing happens. I'm recently upgraded to windows 8.1, the trial used to work fine on windows 7.

CaseyF are you attempting to use the same trial which was installed prior to upgrading to Windows 8.1?  If so, and assuming the trial is not expired, then I would recommend reviewing your PDApp.log for the specific error causing the installer to fail to initialize.  Please see Troubleshoot with install logs | CS5, CS5.5, CS6, CC - http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-suite/kb/troubleshoot-install-logs-cs5-cs5.html for information on how to locate and interpret the PDApp.log.  You are welcome to post any specific errors you discover in the log to this discussion.

  • Installing Dreamweaver CS6

    Hello,
I'm using a Dell Inspiron Laptop with Windows7 64-bit, and when trying to install Dreamweaver CS6 everything seems to install ok, but when I try launching the application I get an error that I'm missing ImageOptimization.dll.  I've tried installing a few times, and restart before launching Dreamweaver.  The strange thing is that Dreamweaver CS6 does not show up in the add/remove programs list after installation, so something must be going wrong during installation.  I use the "I have a serial number" option and paste the number in and validates with no problem.
I purchased the download-able version from Amazon.com.  The only other major Adobe product I have installed is Photoshop Elements 9, which I got through Dell when purchasing this laptop.  Does anyone have ideas for me?  I've tried googling the problem, but didn't find anything useful.
    Thanks!
    -Evan

Sorry, meant to reply to this yesterday.  It was my antivirus software detecting that DLL and removing it.  I had to really work to make sure all parts of the antivirus were off and not overriding settings to remove the file again.
Thanks for the reply though - it would of helped lead to the antivirus issue.  (I never had to disable the antivirus to install software).

    Anyone have ideas?

    Hi ,
We really apologize for all the inconvenience which has caused you.
You can try to copy the installer from the CD to desktop and try to launch setup.exe from it.
Also you can go ahead and put the system in clean boot and try to launch installation.
If that doesnt work try to create new admin account and try installing app from it.
In the meanwhile if these steps doesnt resolve your issues you can contact Adobe support by following the link below:

  • Dreamweaver CS6 and .ctp files

I've just installed Dreamweaver CS6 and have followed the usual instructions to get CakePHP template files (.ctp) recognised. I'm now getting a strange behaviour: existing .ctp files are working and displayed as PHP (only 'code view' is available), but when I create a new .ctp file it is being classed as plain text. Has anyone else encountered (and hopefully solved) this issue?

If you followed the correct instructions, then all should be to plan:
.ctp files will open as PHP files
    Design View will be available

  • I have tried to install Dreamweav er CS6 and cc - neither will install. Why?

I purchased a disc for Dreamweaver CS6 and if it installed, I received an error. stating that DCIMON.dll was missing. I installed creative cloud and I can not install the download CC version. The firewall has been set to allow it. I have the toolkit and manager installed. What is necessary to get this corrected?

It might be that your subscription is expired or you need to add the Subscription Reference or Key Number to get it operational. CC or CS6 might also be under downloads and actually needs to be set up from the downloaded file under setup.exe. Check that and see if those options work. To find your KEY in your subscriptions go to www.adobe.com, sign in, got to "My Subscriptions and it will show you the key. You cannot run CC without Adobe Creative Cloud downloaded you can pay 19.99 a month or per year but without that CC will not run. • Installing Dreamweaver CS6 on Lion seems to have broken video playback

Last night I was able to play the videos on the Adobe website (for example, CS6 & Creative Cloud Feature Tour for Web) on both Safari and Chrome. After downloading and installing Dreamweaver CS6, I can't play those videos. The page loads but the display box remains blacked out. I verified that I was still able to play the videos on another computer on the same LAN. I also confirmed that I can still play videos at YouTube. It just seems to be Adobe's website that's broken.
My computer is a Mac Pro running OS X Lion. I installed CS6 using an administrator account and rebooted after the install complete.
Anyone else run into a similar issue?

Thank you for trying the install. It may just be a coincidence that just before downloading Dreamweaver, I could view the videos and after installing, I couldn't. Those things happen, unfortunately.
I found some similar issues in other Adobe Forums. I went into the Flash settings, enabled the option for third parties to save Flash components and added tv.adobe.com and images.tv.adobe.com as trusted sites. Now I'm able to view the videos again.

  • Installing Dreamweaver CS6 on WinXP Pro (was: I give up!!!!!)

Has anyone ever successfully installed Dreamweaver CS6 under WinXP Pro? The install went OK but when I try to launch DW it starts the launch and after 3-4 seconds of the launch process it quits/exits. I have tried everything on multiple forums such as de-install, cleanup, re-install under Admin account, delete and install new admin account, registry cleanup, install with NO user programs or services running, deleting profile folders etc. Oh yes, I successfully installed it on my laptop under Win7 and it runs fine. I have been struggling with this for a week or so. Anyone got any ideas?
    Thanks in advance,
    Guy P.

I have and I have had no problems so far.  The only thing is I don't get any updates these days but I guess there aren't any.
For CC you need Windows 7 or Windows 8 so forget about it until you get a new machine.
