I'm trying to install the new Photoshop CC product. I have CS6 installed but ...

there's no option to install the CC product.
What's the deal?

The CC version of all products will be available on June 17 per the announcement at the Adobe MAX conference on May 6.

I have attempted to download the new update for photoshop cs6 several times .. after downloanding and installing i get an error message U44M1P7 at the end of each attempt .. it appears to be fine until after the download is completed ... i have tried reloading the photoshop and it will errors out ... any suggestions? it is on the new features ... I am trying to use the new plug-in for import from aperture. But the "import" button always disappears ... any help out there?

I have up-dated LR to the latest version and like to use the plug-in for the import from the Aperture library. I follow the steps suggested by an article, have saved all picture into separate folders (folder = project name) and still, after the analysis of the library, the "import" button disappears and I am stuck and can't import.
Any ideas what can be done/must be done to get this working?

You have already seen that you cannot load the new iTunes into your 10.5.8, so as Neil says, you need Snow Leopard (current cost £14). And you'll probably need to update the disc you buy via the combo update, though that is free.
As far as the new iTunes is concerned, there's been a certain amount of grumbling so you may want to study the forums before you update. The main problem has been with album artwork which does not transfer easily.

Download AA 9 Pro from http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/acrobat-downloads.html. Make a new backup for your archive. You might also take the DVD to your library to see if it is a drive problem. You might also carefully clean the DVD with water and soap (do not use anything that would scratch the surface or you have destroyed it for sure) and see if that solves the problem. This is particularly an issue if you have finger prints or other crud on the DVD. However, it could also be a bad drive as I mentioned. Hopefully the download solves your problem in any case (I would backup the download to CD and/or backup HD).

That situation went from inconvenient to complicated quickly. Wait for any pending orders to drop off, wait for things to clear up, wait till your upgrade comes up and then upgrade when your contract is fulfilled. I would have suggested a replacement phone, I know, with only a month left why couldn't you just upgrade early, but these situations where people try to upgrade early always end horribly and once a phone order starts, it almost cannot finish until something winds up shipped received and returned. Sorry this happened the way it did. Definitely not efficient.

I installed the new version because itunes had not recognised my ipod nano 5G, and told me to reinstall. Itunes selected which version to install, so I don't understand what is going on. To add insult to injury it installed a pile of malware which I am still trying to get rid off.

If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.
Download a new copy of the Firefox program and save the DMG file to the desktop

* Trash the current Firefox application to do a clean (re-)install
* Install the new version that you have downloaded
