The "backup password" refers to a password you created when you elected to encrypt your iPhone's backup. If you cannot remember the encryption password, you will not be able to access the backup.

Can I use LabVIEW to load data directly into system memory? The serial card I'm using isn't supported by NI nor does VISA recognize it. I'm using a Win32 function to read the data from the card and now I want it to go directly to system memory.

Two questions:
One, if it's a serial card, then presumably it gives you more serial ports, like COM3, COM4, etc. If so, VISA would see the COM ports, and not the card directly. The drivers for the card should make it so that you see the extra serial ports from the OS. If you don't see the extra COM ports from VISA, then it sounds like the drivers for the card are not installed properly. Do the extra COM ports show up in Device Manager?
Two, you said that you're using a Call Library function to get the data and you want to put it into system memory. Errr.... you just read the data and you have it in memory by definition. Are you saying you need a way to parse the data so it shows up on a graph or something?

THe iTunes gift code is an optional field, you don't have to fill it in - gift cards are an alternative method of paying for iTunes content, but as they are not available inall countries (and they are country-specific, they can only be used in the country in which they were issued), you may not be able to fill it in anyway. If they are available in your country then you might be able to buy cards from Apple, supermarkets, electrical stores etc
If you have a credit card then you can use that as your payment method instead. Otherwise there are instrutions on this page for how to create a new account without giving a credit card number (it won't with existing, or partially created, accounts) : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2534

I am trying to set up a family sharing with a new iMac and other Mac pro computer and other apple products. When I click to manage account and the add a member, I am told to verify the user by entering the security code from the credit card. The card listed is an old one and has since been changed. I updated the info on my apple account, but it is not getting to the iCloud for the family sharing. The number shown is the old card. When I enter a code it says invalid. How long does it take for the info to udate to all systems?

Happy Holidays! The resource below explains how to edit the credit card information for the Apple ID account that you want to use for Family Sharing. Once you've made the changes, I would suggest you sign out of your iTunes Store on all of your devices, and then restart them. The changes should take place quickly. Connect your iPod to the computer (and iTunes) and look on the Device/Music pane, as below:
You need to have Sync Music ticked, as shown.
If you have Entire Music Library checked, then all your music should go back onto yuor iPod.
If you have chosen Selected playlists, artists, albums and genres, you will see additional options for choosing which of those choices you want.
If you make any changes here, you may need to click on the Sync, or Apply, button to make the changes happen.

The security code is the three digit number on the back of your card.
If this doesnt work you will not be able to use that card.
Set your payment method to none and then you will be able to use your account again.
Regarding itunes gift cards, if your CC details are missing, incorrect or you can no longer use that card, this will block you from using the account for anything until you clear the credit card issue.

Often there is another billing issue you can not see from your end that causes this.

My secutiry code is not working after installing IOs5. The phone has asked for a new code after intalling it and now the phone is bloqued.

Problem with security code.

If you're referrning to the passcode, it's normal for you to have to reenter the code after updating. If you don't remember what you put in, you have to restore the phone as new, without using a backup.

Trying change my credit card info from previously lost credit card but can't since it says I'm accessing from new device and asks for security code for a card i no longer have. What can I do?

I've recently gotten a new laptop and replaced my damaged iphone. Apparently these 2 scenarios qualify as "new devices". This is fine but I also had lost my credit card previously that was connected to my iTunes account, and got a new one with all different numbers. When I try to change my billing information to this new card it won't let me because it says
"Your account has been accessed from a new device, and you must verify your payment information before you can make purchases."
and it asks for the security code of the card I had lost and replaced! I am not able to change my billing info to my new card thus because I can't get past this.
Can anyone please help?

I am unable to update my apps. To research the issue, I hardwired in and noticed my iTunes account was prompting me for a security code. After entering and re-entering, trying a new card and returning to the previous one, it tells me my code is invalid.
I have tried to contact Support but am receiving no resolution.

If it's the security code not valid, this will be better resolved by your bank. Have them check your account for a block or something. I'd also recommend contacting iTunes support one more time and have them review your account as well.
