I cant remember my passcode to my IPod, every time i try i always end up waiting at least an hour to get on. i haven't used my IPod at least 3 weeks and i try using all of my previous words but they aren't doing a thing. do you think that maybe apple can try to by pass my iPod an help change the setting of having a new passcode. Connect the iPod to your computer and restore via iTunes. Place the iPod in Recovery Mode if necessary to allow the restore.

i had problems with it being very slow even thought I deleted all my music and pics and even a lot of apps so I figured I'd reset it and restore from the backup I have on iTunes. but after aksing for my apple id and then being forced to change my password, it also asked me to associate an email with the account.after all that when I try to restore it says it has a problem. I just bought an ipod touch and am trying to make an application purchase on it and to use icloud to transfer to my ipad or laptop.
I cannot sign in. the password is never accepted. How do I get into applications to purchase or download some of what I have on my ipad?

‘iPad is disabled’ fix without resetting using iTunes
Today I met my match with an iPad that had a passcode entered too many times, resulting in it displaying the message ‘iPad is disabled – Connect to iTunes’. This was a student iPad and since they use Notability for most of their work there was a chance that her files were not all backed up to the cloud. I really wanted to just re-activate the iPad instead of totally resetting it back to our default image.
I reached out to my PLN on Twitter and had some help from a few people through retweets and a couple of clarification tweets. I love that so many are willing to help out so quickly. Through this I also learned that I look like Lt. Riker from Star Trek (thanks @FillineMachine).
Through some trial and error (and a little sheer luck), I was able to reactivate the iPad without loosing any data. Note, this will only work on the computer it last synced with. Here’s how:
1. Configurator is useless in reactivating a locked iPad. You will only be able to completely reformat the iPad using Configurator. If that’s ok with you, go for it – otherwise don’t waste your time trying to figure it out.
2. Open iTunes with the iPad disconnected.
3. Connect the iPad to the computer and wait for it to show up in the devices section in iTunes.
4. Click on the iPad name when it appears and you will be given the option to restore a backup or setup as a new iPad (since it is locked).
5. Click ‘Setup as new iPad’ and then click restore.
6. The iPad will start backing up before it does the full restore and sync. CANCEL THE BACKUP IMMEDIATELY. You do this by clicking the small x in the status window in iTunes.
7. When the backup cancels, it immediately starts syncing – cancel this as well using the same small x in the iTunes status window.
8. The first stage in the restore process unlocks the iPad, you are basically just canceling out the restore process as soon as it reactivates the iPad.
If done correctly, you will experience no data loss and the result will be a reactivated iPad. I have now tried this with about 5 iPads that were locked identically by students and each time it worked like a charm.

In your case your only solution is to restore it ( see http://support.apple.com/kb/HT1808 ) and you may need to force it into restore mode to do that. This will wipe everything off it and reset it as new, without the passcode. You can then redownload purchased content, buy unless you have a sync'd copy of your contacts and photo's they will be gone.

Providing she regularly synced her iPod, her purchases should be in her iTunes library. If this is the case, then you can simply reset her iPod and put all of her data back on it although I don't know if this works with apps. If she synced it before she reset the pass word then you can stop the auto sync, restore, and put the back up on it. If all else falls, iTunes and the App store remember purchases so you can't buy the same thing twice, well at least I haven't. when you start using iCloud on any iOS device and enable find my iPhone, this prevents a new user from using it, and also prevents anyone from using the phone
as it is locked to previous owners account ,this is also the case if when a phone is lost or stolen.
the only way around this is to have the previous owner reset their apple id by going to @ applied.apple.com
if they are unable to do this, then the only other way around this is to have the previous owner get a copy of their original receipt and call apple support who can then lift this lock if they get a copy of the receipt

Why is my Apple ID not working in iTunes or App Store on my iPhone? When I try to buy apps or music it asks for Apple ID so I enter my info and nothing happens. When I go to settings/iTunes App Store my Apple ID is not there. When I enter my ID and password it does not save or link to account. When fist setting up your new iphone you will be asked to log in with an apple id and password. If this did not happen you can then do as you suggested going to settings to itunes and app store and add your apple id login. This apple id login must have already been created for the iphone to accept it. If this apple id is already created but is not being accepted by your iphone you then should shut down your iphone and restart the device.

Activation Lock cannot be bypassed, you will have to recover the email and password used to activate it. -
I restored my ipad but i was unable to activate it because it is askimg me for the apple id and password eith which i originally set it up. I know the apple id although i do not remember ever using it but i cannot remember the password. I have tried everything from reserting my password to trying different passwords but it asks me for a custom question that i dont remember creating.
You need to use Apple's iForgot service or contact their Account Security team.

To eject the Disc, hold the Mouse button down, (or what passes for it on a Laptop), while powering up, if you also hold the Option key down at the same time it should eject & give you a chance to insert your install disc & wait for it to shw as a Boot option.

2. When your computer finishes starting up from the disc, choose Disk Utility from the Installer menu. (In Mac OS X 10.4 or later, *you must select your language first.)*

3. Click the First Aid tab.
4. Click the disclosure triangle to the left of the hard drive icon to display the names of your hard disk volumes and partitions.

Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it finishes.
If it appears to be time for An Archive & Install, which gives you a new OS, but can preserve all your files, APPs, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space...

The reset link will only show if you have a rescue email address on your account (an alternate email address is different). If you don't have one (you won't be able to add one until you can answer your questions) then you will have to contact Support in your country to get the questions reset.
How are you trying to contact Support ? You should be able to do so via the following :
