I'm not sure what to tell you. With iOS 7, you'll need to provide the correct ID an password to proceed. You can try turning off Find My iPhone in Settings>iCloud. You will get the same prompt but perhaps it will accept your password this time.

Trying to restore my iphone 5c, but it says i have to turn off the 'find my phone' option in icloud. when i try, it brings up the wrong apple id. I reset it under itunes & app store in settings but still not working...frustrated!
Open iTunes on computer, connect iPhone to computer with USB Cable, hold both home and power buttons for about 20 seconds until iTunes recognizes iPhone in Recovery Mode, click Restore button of iTunes on computer.

Possibly something is blocking Apple through iTunes from approving your iPhone Restore. Sometimes this is due to your computer Hosts File redirecting your request away from Apple. Seach your computer for Hosts, open this file with Word Processor program. If there is any reference to gs.apple.com this is the problem. This name and the number with it needs to be removed.

In particular the section titled Check your security software -
Related errors: 2, 4, 6, 9, 1611, 9006. Sometimes security software can stop your device from communicating with either the Apple update server or with your device.
Check your security software and settings to make sure that they aren't blocking a connection to the Apple servers.

I just completely restored my iphone 4 but when I connect it to my laptop to manage my iphone and everything on it and sync it like usual, it only goes back to the page saying "Welcome to your new iphone! Would you like to set up your iphone as a new i phone or restore your information from a previous backup?", then gives me those 2 options. Why won't it go to any other step/page for me to sync or manage everything I have on it?! I even tried restoring it again to see if anything changes, but it just wont get past asking me to restore it! How do I get to the main page for my device???
This commonly happens when a phone has been hacked to unlock the phone from a specific arrier or the phone has been jailbroken. If your phone is in either of these categories you will have to look elsewhere for assistance.

It is trying to restore my new ipod from the backup cloud, but it keeps asking me for the passwords of three different itunes accounts, two i know are my friends accounts and I don;t even know whoose the third is. I must have some of their music on my library or something, but it won't backup without these passwords it seems. Is there a way to get around this? I have the music in my Itunes library and can listen to it all I want and burn it on cds but I cant get it to go on my ipod without their passwords. Can i switch it and just have it sync to my computer and not this icloud? My other ipod didnt ask me for these passwords when I tried to sync it.
If you have music that was purchased on different iTunes accounts than the one you use, then you must provide the password, otherwise the tunes are not considered yours. You can turn off iCloud and just use the usual USB sync method. But I wonder whether you'll have the same problem?

I cannot get to step 9 to complete restore and to reactivate my phone...I would appreciate any help thank You krisi do that but it keeps getting stuck on the 'preparing to restore i phone' screen for a few mins before coming up with 'unknown error 1603'.
