I'm trying to set up firefox sync but the "set up sync" option under Tools doesn't exist.

I saw this question was posted previously but no answer was given. Under Tools, I only have the option to click Sync now, but nothing happens when I do. I'm also not aware of having set up a sync about previously.

Enabling HomeSharing on a computer doesn't make anything to appear on the left bar.
You need to setup at least two computers and have both running iTunes, then the iTunes side bar will show you the shared libraries.

Does the regular Firefox 8 release version work or does the version crash as well?

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

There may be extensions and plugins installed by default in a new profile, so check that in "Tools > Add-ons > Extensions & Plugins" in case there are still problems.
If that new profile works then you can transfer some files from the old profile to that new profile, but be careful not to copy corrupted files.

Sorry, you can't extract those photos from the old device unless you restore the new phone from that backup.
You could of course use a third party software to extract those pics but it will cost you.
If you still have the old phone import those pics to your computer and then sync those photos to your new phone via itunes.

Have you reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10 seconds until the Apple logo appears on the screen? If that doesn't resolve this, you can try resetting all settings. Settings>General>Reset>Reset All Settings. You will not lose any data, but all device settings will have to be entered again.
If that doesn't fix it, your next step might be to backup then erase all content and settings or restore the iPad to factory settings. See how if goes if you reset all settings first.

Have you got notifications muted ? Only notifications (including games) get muted, so the Music and Videos apps, and headphones, still get sound.
Depending on what you've got Settings > General > Use Side Switch To set to (mute or rotation lock), then you can mute notifications by the switch on the right hand side of the iPad above the volume switch, or via control centre : swipe up from the bottom edge of the screen and it's the right-most of the 5 icons in the middle of it (if the icon is white then it's 'on', tap it to turn it grey and 'off'). I could do that, however when I select the icloud button (or whatever the heck it is) I am asked to enter the apple id and password. So if you are suppose to create another one for icloud you'd think it would give you the option at this point which would be logical.

What is "Adobe XI" - Reader, or Acrobat?
But either way, 'Save as Adobe PDF' is a Word function, independent of what Adobe software you have installed.
