I'm trying to set up my Telus sim card.

I am trying to activate my Telus sim card for 3G service but I can't even get as far as the Telus website to activate the account. Telus doesn't seem to be able to help unless I take my iPad in and give them $35 to help me activate it. Is there someone out there that can help me?

Try signing up from some other machine. You may have to call (likely multiple times) and give them $35. It will be the first of many unforseen $35 gifts to Telus. Welcome to Canadian telecom.

This has nothing to do with iPhoto. When I have this type of problem I call tech support for my email service. They probably are the only source of the correct settings

Is it possible to switch Telus SIM card in Canadian iPhone4

I have a new iPhone4, purchased Dec.17/2010 in Canada from Telus. The Telus SIM card was inserted at the store at time of purchase. Since I frequently travel to the USA, I called Telusmobility tech support and asked whether the phone is locked or if it was possible to insert a US based carrier's SIM card while in the US so that I could avoid roaming charges. I was told the phone was not locked and that, yes, I could insert another SIM card if I liked.
However, I then stubbled across this Apple support article:

It clearly states that the iPhone is locked by all Canadian carriers and that none of the carriers offer authorized unlocking.
I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with this. I don't want to buy a US SIM card only to find out that it doe not qork in my phone and I have wasted my money.... or worse yet, insert an AT&T SIM card into my phone and end up with it being locked to that carrier.

I suspect your phone is in fact locked to Telus. You can easily verify such by inserting any other carrier's sim in your phone. Doing so will not lock your phone if it is officially unlocked. If you get any error messages(sim not supported), this will confirm your phone is locked to Telus. No error messages, your phone is unlocked and you're good to go. If your phone is locked, only Telus could authorize its official unlocking.

Only the carrier the phone is locked to can authorize unlocking it. Why do you think they would do so before you complete the terms of your contract? I don't know specifically what their policy is, but most carriers won't do so unless they are legally required to.
If you didn't want to use Optus, why did you sign a contract with them?

Factory restet iPhone 4 can't set up. No SIM card

I bought a used iphone 4 and received it 2 days ago. Everything was already set up and I made a verizon account and activated it. Yesterday, I factory reset my phone and now I can't set anything up. I can only set the language and wifi before it says "No SIM card try again" and it wants me to put in a SIM card. How do I fix this? I thought verizon iphone 4 did not have a SIM card slot. Do I have to take it to my local verizon store to get it activated again?

I can't dial *221. The screen tells me No Sim Card inserted, and the only screens I can back out to are the language and country screens.

Sounds like the iPhone is locked to another wireless provider.
Have your sister contact her wireless provider to see if they
offer unlocking and if she qualifies.
Have you tried to activate the iPhone to your iTunes account?
What happened? If there is an error message, what is the exact
wording?

Has anyone tried putting in their old Razr sim card?

Were you able to transfer your contacts that way?

Sorry that I can't find the post, but last night I read that you can use the iPhone SIM card in another ATT phone, however, when you move it back to the iPhone, any contacts you added with the other phone would not be available to the iPhone. Probably the same with the card from another phone.
Most likely you need to sync the other phone to your Mac or PC contact software and then sync to the iPhone to transfer the data.

I am trying to set up Sharing amongst several computers on my home network. I have followed all the setup instructions but after completion Sharing does not appear in my iTunes window (on any of the computers I've set up). There is no explanation why.

I have been trying to set up Sharing between two computers on my network. I did this once and it worked. However, when I try to set this up now the Sharing feature does not appear on the left side of the iTunes window (on either computer). There is no explanation as to why not. Is this a configuration problem, a network problem or what? Can it be fixed? I have tried turning sharing off and back on on both computers but to no avail. What am I missing? Thanks for any help you can provide.

Thanks for the question, and welcome to Apple Support Communities.
If, while searching through your past purchases, items are unavailable to download and show a "Purchased" button, they are still on your computer. It may be best to search your iTunes library by clicking Music, then use the search bar at the top right.
If you are completely sure the items are no longer in your library, try signing out of the iTunes Store, and then back in.

Trying to set up ereader for library books but unable to authorise computer.

Let's try this first. Press the wireless button on the front of the printer and execute a "Restore Defaults".
Next, restart the router by pulling its power plug momentarily, then try the WPS procedure again. If that does not work, contact your ISP to see if the WPS button is functional.
If it is not, let me know and I can walk you through a much harder, but effective technique.

Postal & Zip codes are same. Just enter postal code without space. It will accept.

You must initiallly activate iCloud from an IOS device or a Mac. You cannot inititally activated from a PC.

Sharing an Apple ID is never recommended for these reasons.
They can create their own: http://appleid.apple.com and you can add them at the addresses they use for their ID.
Sharing an Apple ID is not recommended because all of your data gets merged and when it gets deleted from one device, it deletes from them all, such as Contacts.
