I'm trying to updated to Itunes version 10.5.1. I have never had problems updating before but this time it says "network resource not available. can't find the following installation package 'itunes.msi'.....I have searched for the file but can't find it. Any suggestions?

thanks eric. i looked at that but what i don't understand is that i was able to update itunes with no problems on other computers. i may have to uninstall and re-install itunes as a last resort. just thought someone might have an easy fix!

You cannot return to previous state. The update re-locked the iPhone
to the original carrier. You must contact the original carrier to see if
they offer unlocking and if you qualify.
What does it say when you look at Settings=>General=>Carrier?
Be advised that if your iPhone had previously been hacked/modified/
jailbroken to work with other than original carrier, it may be impossible
for the original carrier to unlock it properly.

If you are currently running an iOS lower than 5.0, connect to your computer & click on the "Update your device using iTunes".
Tip - You may need to disable your firewall and anitvirus software temporarily. Then download and install the iOS update. After you update to iOS 5.x, the next update can be installed via wifi (i.e., not connected to your computer).

What is the Operating System on your MBP...
Click on the Apple icon.. Top left in Finder...
 > About this Mac > Version...what does it say?

Latest version is 6.1 now. Try a direct download of the IOS file and load that via iTunes. Mentioned on some of the other threads here.

I am trying to update Firefox on my Mac. I am running OSX 10.5.8, but the website is telling me the latest version does not support my operating system. I downloaded it anyway, and it doesn't work. I have deleted all version of Firefox from my computer, but I would really like to use it again.

You need an Intel Mac to be able to use Firefox 4 and later versions.
For older Macs that aren't supported in Firefox 4.0 & 5.0, try TenFourFox for PowerPC's running Mac 10.4.11 & 10.5.8 . <br />

Problem trying to update new version of software!

I am trying to update to the 4.1 software and it keeps telling me "There are purchased items on the iPhone .....that have not been transferred to your iTunes library....transfer before updating."
I have gone to Transfer Purchases from iPhone numerous times but it still doesnt work. Any ideas?

I solved it.
I, originally, download and installed the software under the Mac App Store when I was using OS X Mavericks.
I was getting all sorts of error messages from the Mac App Store under Snow Leopard.
I simply copied that version to my working OS X Snow Leopard disc and it is working fine, now.
Thank goodness for having multiple backups on three drives!

Firefox will not open. I have tried to uninstall and this wont work. I have laded beta version but I still can't uninstall earlier version. I would prefer the earlier version working. I have tried to update this version and that wont work either

I can't open firefox. I have tried to update, repair and uninstall and nothing works. I have checked that it is not already running. I have restored my pc to an earlier date, completed scans but it will still not work. I have loaded the beta version ok but I am not keen on it and would prefer the earlier version.

Firefox 5.0.1 won't downoad trying to update older version

Trying to download Firefox 5.0.1 to update older version so I can play Angry Birds. I click on download, click on Save File, the file has downloaded three times but does not appear to be running. When I return to the Angry Birds website it keeps repeating the message that I must have FF 5.0.1 to play. Can't get 5.0.1 to run.
Help please. The safety of the free world is riding on this one!

I do not think that FF 5 will run on Windows 2000. I think you need at least Windows XP SP3 to use it.
