I'm unable to access the Itunes Store from my Windows 8?

I recently recieved a new laptop, operating on Windows 8.  {Note: This is my first Windows computer, I transferred over from Mac}.  I decided to open up a new Apple ID to get away from my parent's account, so that was all set up pretty easily.
Now, however, i find that I can't access the Itunes store from the Itunes application.
A message, I'm unable to find it now, it no longer appears, instead I get a blank screen instead of the store, read something similar to "not being able to open itunes store, please check your cookies and account details. {sorry if that's too vague, but it definitly had to do with my cookie settings making it unable to open.}
I'm at a loss at what to do next.  My account is perfectly set up, but where and how to adjust the cookies so that the itunes store can open?

Close your iTunes,
Go to command Prompt -
(Win 7/Vista) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES, right mouse click "Command Prompt", choose "Run as Administrator".
(Win XP SP2 & above) - START/ALL PROGRAMS/ACCESSORIES/Command Prompt
In the "Command Prompt" screen, type in
netsh winsock reset
Hit "ENTER" key
Restart your computer.
If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

I recently have been unable to access the ITunes store.  I am currently running ITunes version 11.0.3.42.  Do I need to update to the current version of ITunes in order to connect to the ITunes store, or is there another reason I cannot connect?

    Hello stephencadmaster,
Running the current version of iTunes is recommended. After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning iTunes Store issues:

I cannot access the iTunes store from any of my computers.  When I updated to v. 10.7 it made my laptop unable to access just like with my two desktops. I have installed and uninstalled numerous times.

Nothing happens.  iTunes just hangs up every time, saying "Accessing iTunes Store."  It does that for a very, very long time, then nothing.  Here is what happens when I run diagnostics.

I have tried uninstalling and reinstalling Itunes, but it still gets hung up when trying to access the Itunes Store from the Itunes program.
I've been unable to register the new Nano or sync it with my library.

    Many thanks.
With those symptoms, I'd try the following document:

  • TS1424 HELLO! whenever i try to access the itunes store from the itunes on my laptop i get this message: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is availabl

for a few weeks i have not been able to access the itunes store from the itunes on my laptop. every time i click on it it tells me it cannot access the store...not sure why. and says this: ITUNES HAS STOPPED WORKING a problem caused the program to stop working correctly. windows will close the program and notify if a solution is available.

I had this exact same problem.  I found this fix and it worked for me.
    Step 1:
Browse to C:\Program Files (x86)\Common Files\Apple\Apple Application Support and copy the filen named QTMovieWin.dll.
    Step 2:
Browse and past that file into C:\Program Files (x86)\iTunes.
Hope this helps you.  I wish I could remember where I saw this originally so I could thank them.
    Good Luck.

  • I can only access the itunes store from my pc and not my ipod touch.  It says incorrect password, but I know it is correct.  I have changed my password more than 3 times in the past few months to resolve this issue but to no avail.  Someone please help!

I have had the same account for over 4 years.  I have had my ipod touch for 2 years and have always been able to access the itunes store and download content from my pc and my ipod touch.  A few months ago, I started to receive the message that I've entered the wrong password but I know that it is correct.  I can download all I want from my pc without any problems at all.  How do I get my device to accept my itunes password so that I can get back to downloading content directly to my device?

I'm having the same issue.  Just hooked up a Mac Mini and running the internet just fine over wifi, but Facetime isn't working.  I'm going to try resetting my router in the morning.

  • I cannot access the itunes store from my new iphone 4s. Why?

I cannot coonect to the itunes store from my new iphone 4S.  Why?

Make sure you have entered your Apple ID and password in settings (under Settings -> Store, Apple ID is at the bottom).  Enter the ID and password you use to make purchased in the iTunes store and you should then be able to connect to the store using iTunes on your phone.

  • I am unable to access the iTunes Store, but all other features of iTunes are normal.

I always get a message "We could not complete your iTunes Store request.  The host is down.  There was an error in the iTunes Store. Please try again later."  I have downloaded and reinstalled the current version of iTunes (11.0.2 (26) 64 bit) with no effect.  I have not had any other problems with iTunes.  I have not had any problems with Internet access.

Very unusual to have 69 itunes plist files in ~/Library/Preferences.  Also unusual to not have one in ~/Library/Caches.
If it were my computer, I would trash all the ones in the Preferences folder, and double check for one in the Caches folder, and trash it if you find it.  I'd also consider trashing the iTunes folder in ~/Preferences.  Do this with iTunes quit, first.  None of this touches your library, but you should have a backup before doing things like this.  Or instead of trashing, back them up on your desktop like before, just in case.
Don't open itunes yet.  Then, maybe a permissions repair on your home folder is in order.  You may try this first, if you like, and possible should, since your app store isn't quite right either:
Shutdown, boot to recovery (hold CMD + R).  You may be asked to select your language and you'll end up at OS X Utilities.  When there, ignore that window, select Utilities at the top of your screen, then Terminal.  Type in "resetpassword" (no quotes) and press enter.  On the window that pops up, select your boot drive at the top (likely Machintosh HD), your user account (likely selected already).  Then, select Reset near the bottom to reset your ACLs.  This may take a few minutes depending on how many files you have for the reset to go through.  When it's done, close the window and the terminal window.  Then click the Apple in the upper left, restart, test.

You must've blocked cookies. iTunes requires cookies I believe. If you did block it follow these steps:
Go to settings > safari > block cookies > never.
