The site has an english version and an italian one. The central frame I named '''MAINTEXT''' for using the '''english''' texts in the central frame; while I named MAINTEXT'''IT''' the central frame used for '''italian''' version of the site.
Anyway, when I test the reported code on my PC - where is a version of the site - the video is charged but at full screen; I'm unable to resize it. On the web, the video do not charge at all.
It may be because the video is HD 750/50p ?

UNABLE TO FIX: "There was an error opening the database for the library"

Like many others I have received the "There was an error opening the database for the library" error message today after a mid-Aperture processing session crash. However, unlike others I have been unable to fix the database...
I have trashed all prefs, tried merging with a new library, tried repairing permissions, repairing the database, AND rebuilding the database, and have tried disk utility. Nothing works. Repair permissions did it's job, but didn't fix it. Repair Database doesn't even start to work and the Aperture utility quits immediately. Rebuild Database crunches away for about a minute then stops, and eventually quits itself with no error message.
Aperture works fine with other databases, just not my main one. I'm worried that maybe it won't rebuild because the library is 500 gigs and I only have 200 gigs of free space, but that's pure speculation.
Anybody out there experienced this same issue and come up with a solution? I know I can pull my masters out of the Aperture package, but I have 500 gigs of edits too... anyway to force rebuild the database by tossing the database files in the package or something?

Sorry, maybe I wasn't clear. Even with the 420 gig library on the drive I had 520 gigs free (1TB drive). In any case since I had made a duplicate of the library I began to pull files from the Aperture Library > Database directory and I seemed to have fixed it enough to allow Aperture to Rebuild the Database.
I ended up tossing all the .plist files and the Library.apdb file in the Database directory within the Aperture Library. After doing so I was able to properly rebuild and all is right with the world.

How do I copy frame width & height and apply to all other frames in Indesign CS5?

I design albums using lots of photos. I often find myself copying a particular frame's width and height then pasting it individually across other frames. Is there a way to copy and paste a frames width and height and apply it across numerous frames? I'm not changing the content dimensions (photo) just the frame dimensions.

Safari 6.0 no longer has fixed-width tabs. Who knows the command to get rid of floating-width tabs?

The floating-width tabs mean that the tab click targets change dynamically as I'm browsing and I have to hunt them down to return to them. The keyboard command means I have to hunt through a shuffle deck of windows as well, so that's not great. I'd also prefer to not install some UI tweaking utility. I'd just like to know a command-line syntax to use to return the thing back to its fixed-width goodness.

Trying to make a slideshow in Prem Pro CS4 with full size D800 jpegs, but the message "file video dimensions (width/height) too large" appears
I have checked the FAQ and found that the res of the D800 at 7000x5000ish is well below the 25,000x25,000 Prem quotes,

Does anybody know how to make a selection in Photoshop Elements 13 without having the width / height box drag from the cursor?

I've recently upgraded from Photoshop Elements 10 to Photoshop Elements 13 and the selection tool dragging this little box behind it whenever I make a selection or move a selection is highly irritating. I tried to google for how to not have it shown and I read all the descriptions in the manual about selections, I found nothing.
The following image is what I mean. I want to get rid of the box that says W: 98 px H: 69 px, is there any way to do that? I know I could get used to it but if there is any way to not have it, I would love to know about it.

I have encountered this same problem.
The only fix, and an unstable one at that, is to alternately pan the screen and then drag the text box such that as it moves to scroll off the screen it remains on the page.
The reason this becomes unstable is that at higher zoom levels selecting this text box may also cause it to disappear completely from the page. At this point one has to zoom out find it and attempt to repeat this frustrating maneuver.
In my experience this effect extends to changing pages and alternating levels of zoom.

I am suddenly getting a message that the 'mobile device services' has stopped working on my computer and windows seems unable to fix. I have tried finding the file and making sure that it is enabled. It says 'enabled' but does not work.

I recently downloaded a new update of the operating system on my 3GS It seems to be a bit slower since and I have no idea if that is part of what is going wrong. I cannot get itunes to recognise my phone. Windows pops up a 'window' that says my 'mobile device services' is not working and would I like Windows to look online for the problem - I say yes, windows does it's thing, blanks out and I am back where I was. I tried updating itunes but no luck.
I found the mobiledeviceservices.exe file and made sure it was all 'on' and 'enabled' still no luck I did a search and came up with some other people who had the same problem but the answers that they were given didn't help me.

When you erased the disk did you select Mac OS Extended Journaled as the format option?

You can make the playlist in itunes and it shows up in the ipod (Video) but the list is empty. Any news on this??

Try selecting the files in iTunes, then clicking File > Create New Version > Create iPod version.
If that doesn't do it, there might be a problem with the files, try testing with files from this Apple doc -> Verifying iTunes video conversion and video syncing using sample QuickTime files

Spry menubar not working correctly in IE9 - fixed width or padding or...?

Need help. My spry menu bar isn't all the way to the right when in compatibility mode in IE9. When not in compatibility mode it is even further from the right. Is there a way to make it so that it is all the way to the right on both compatibility and non-compatibility modes. Is there a better way than changing the padding or can I do a fixed width? www.superedgar.com

because of the interpretation of the different browsers, it is very difficult to get the correct outcome each time.
In your case, I would do exactly as you have done, that is apply an auto width to the menu item and then apply a padding to fill the rest. I then centre the menubar so that the difference is equally divided betweeen left and right.

How many ways are there to get the Width/Height of an image ?

I am currently using the following code to get the width and hight of an image :
BufferedImage Buffered_Image=ImageIO.read(new File(Image_Path));
int Image_Width=Buffered_Image.getWidth();
int Image_Height=Buffered_Image.getHeight();I don't need to get the image (*.jpg, *.gif, *.png), just want to know it's dimensions. I wonder how many other ways are available to do the same thing in a Java application ?

SFC - windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them

Hi,
Having run SFC on a Windows 7 laptop we get the warning:
windows resource protection found corrupt files but was unable to fix some of them
Examination of the cbs.log shows the following two files causing this:
Cannot repair member file "DHCPQEC.DLL" of Microsoft-Windows-Dhcp-Nap-Enforcement-Client
Cannot repair member file "no_rl.cur" of Microsoft-Windows-Shell-acccursor
Any idea how to fix these?
Are either of these files important or can we just ignore these errors.

Giving the ScrollBarThumb a fixed width

Hi guys,
I'm skinning a scrollbar and I'm having some problems width the ScrollBarThumb (the actual button on the scrollbar). I want to give it a fixed width but no matter what I try it always gives the Thumb a dynamic width.
This is what I have in the skin class:

But it's not working, does anybody have an idea on how to give it a fixed width?

I wonder if the actual size of the thumb is controlled in the HScrollBarSkin on the thumb skinpart?

Setting a fixed width and a changing height for a component within a panel

Alright guys here's my next question. I'm now having trouble trying to figure out how to only resize the height of a JTabbedPane yet keep the width fixed. In other words, as the JPanel its in changes in size, I'd like to have the width of my tabbed pane stay a certain value yet let the height of it adjust to the panel's height as it changes. Is there a way to somehow extract the panel's height into a int or something and then when using the setPreferredSize() function simply implement this retrieved value into the function's height parameter? I've tried messing around with Dimensions and getHeight() functions and the sort but to no success. For instance, within the constructor of one of my JFrames using System.out.println(this.getHeight()); prints 0, when of course this is not the case in reality for the frame's height. The panel's changing size is due to the user resizing the window its in. In one of my previous threads in this forum I learned how to use a GridLayout (it was 2 rows and 1 column in size) to keep the height of the top area in a BorderLayout fixed, yet as the user resized the window, the layout would stretch the area width-wise accordingly. However, that was because I had 2 cells in the layout to control, and I know this wouldn't work with only 1. Any ideas?

You still apparently haven't read the tutorial on using Layout Managers to understand the capabilites of each Layout Manager.
For instance, within the constructor of one of my JFrames using
System.out.println(this.getHeight()); prints 0, when of course this is not the case in reality for the frame's heightComponents don't have a size until the GUI is visible on the screen. That is until you've done a pack(), or a setVisible( true ). You should never be using setSize().
Layout Managers use setPreferredSize() ,setMinimumSize() and setMaximumSize() as suggestions for determining the layout. Although most layout managers don't use all the suggestions, which is why you need to read the tutorial to find out how the layout managers work.
I'm now having trouble trying to figure out how to only resize the height
of a JTabbedPane yet keep the width fixedWell, I don't understand the requirement. The preferred size of a tabbed pane is equal to the preferred size of the largest tab added to the tabbed pane. So I don't understand the concept of artificially changing the vertical height.
Anyway reread the tutorial on "How to Use the Border Layout". Two of the 5 areas respect the width of the component but alter the height to fill all the available space.
If you need further help then you need to create a [url http://homepage1.nifty.com/algafield/sscce.html]Short, Self Contained, Compilable and Executable, Example Program that demonstrates the incorrect behaviour, because I can't guess exactly what you are doing based on the information provided.

Fix width and height of accordion

Hi All
I am building an application using jquery accordion on region 3 of page 0. In each subregion I have a treeview and when a node is choosen shows details about this node. My issue is how to fix width and height of accordion. I tried with jquery tabs instead of accordion and I put this on region header 'style=\"overflow-x:auto;display:block;max-width:340px;min-width:340px;overflow-y:auto;max-height:450px;min-height:450px;";" ', and closing tag at region footer and it worked.
Any idea?

Thank you for your replay but it didn't work as I need.
I made the following test. I put on region attribute \style="width:350px;". When each subregion of accordion has only a treeview, it didn't work. When I created another subregion into accordion with a simple report, it worked fine.
I don't know what is going on and also how to fix it.
Any other idea?

If you're just doing it in a back and forth or spiral fashion, you don't need to check whether a square's been filled in. You just go from a start point to an end point. Those points and the squares in between are determined by simple arithmetic.
If you're doing it randomly, I wouldn't use the GUI elements themselves. I'd have, for example, and array of booleans that tells whether each square has been filled in.
