I'm unable to login at Ichat, why?

When I try to login, it says that i can't because my passwork or username is not correct. I've tried everything possible and i already looked up my passwork in my key chain but when i fill that passwork in, it still doesnt work. What can i do? I also tried to make a new account at AIM but that also failed.

Just to clear some description type things up.
iCloud is essentially a service that Apple Provide.
The ID you register with it can be an Apple ID that you have had for some while and may be an external to Apple email (mine is from a Dial Up ISP)
The registration process gave me an @me.com name as I did it close to the end of MobileMe and the start of iCloud.
I understand now you get an @icloud.com email.
So you may have an @iCloud Email as you have registered for iCloud.
You may alao have an Original Apple ID (which is an email) that is now linked to the iCloud Service and deemed to be your "iCloud" ID.
Either the original ID or the @iCloud.com ID gets you access to iTunes Store, App Store, the iCloud web page, the iCloud Services from the System Preferences such as Mail and Contacts syncing etc - whilst using the same password.
I am not sure if you can register for iCloud without providing a Recovery/Verification email as I converted an existing Apple ID into an iCloud one.
Many people who were using MobileMe before hand also "Converted" in this way.
If you only have an @icloud.com ID then enter it as if it were and AIM name but type it in full ([email protected]).
In Messages in Mountain Lion this becomes the standard way to enter all AIM and AIM Valid ID.
If you are trying an AIM registered name then it should work if you enter it the same way as the name is entered elsewhere. Commonly this is the username only with no suffix (@aol.com or @aim.com).
Port 443 is normally open in the Mac Firewall when it is on.
However the Mac Firewall also needs Apps to be listed to be allowed when it is On.
Port 443 should also be open in your router.
I delayed getting a Lion capable computer (I have an early intel MacBook Pro and thought this would cope).
I then switched to Mountain Lion without preserving an Lion partition anywhere.
As consequence and due to time restraints at the present time I have not updated my website.
It has less on iChat 5 than it does on iChat 4 but there were very few changes.
iChat 6 only really adds the Yahoo option to a fairly stable app.
The main changes are in the support structure.
IMAgent takes over for iChatAgent and it also deals with FaceTime.
In /Library/Frameworks and Private Frameworks the items that "run" the app are in different places and involve different items to earlier versions.

Why are new directory users unable to login to iChat/jabberd?

I have a couple of new users I've added to our directory recently. They are unable to connect to our internal jabber (iChat) server. Users that have connected previously are experiencing no difficulty.
A quick overview of the layout of the system: two XServes, one is OD primary (aspen) the other is OD replica and iChat server (vail). I've modded some config files (long ago) to allow user IDs for jabber to be [email protected] instead of [email protected] It works quite nicely.
Excerpt from the logs shows a failed login attempt followed by a successful login attempt. Successful logins are happening from Messages (beta), iChat under Snow Leopard, and Pidgin under windows. Failing logins are all from iChat under Snow Leopard. Please ask questions, I'm happy to add any other pertinent data!

Tim, thank you for jumping in! I was afraid this question was going to languish.
Snow Leopard is indeed listed twice. It is listed once as being successful as our existing users are able to login to the jabber service from there. It is also listed as being the sole operating system from which logins are failing as our new directory users are only using that platform.
Only one machine is using Lion and that's the one using the Messages Beta and that's working just fine. I provided all of the client information, but I don't believe it's truly relevant. I'm pretty sure that the issue is on the server side. ...I just have NO idea what the problem is!

IChat was unable to login to AOL Instant Messenger!

I wiped my hard drive and reinstalled Leopard and all was good. EXCEPT that now I can't log into iChat anymore!
I keep getting this message:

I know that both are correct because I can log into my old iBook and my iMac.
I don't have aol, I use .mac although I don't subscribe, just use it for iChat.
I've deleted the account and started again but always get the same message. I can log in fine using gmail and I used a friends aol and that works but nobody can log into ichat with a .mac screen name.
Help me please.

Ok I also can't log in via adium but if I use my wife's or my mother in-laws sign in then iChat works no problem.

Unable to login in to Mac App Store using valid account.

I recently inherited a spare MacBook Air from my wife (who got a new one). I deleted her user account, and set up a new admin user account for me. The machine is running 10.7.5.
Now, I am absolutely unable to login to the App Store. I am using my valid Apple ID -- for example, the same Apple ID that I used to gain access to this very forum. System Preferences accepts my ID. iTunes accepts my ID. BUT the App Store will aboslutely NOT respond. It will not load. I get the red "connection failed" alert, and then after several tries it doesn't respond at all.
It doesn't give any option to switch users -- perhaps once the original owner has used the App Store, the computer will never again allow anyone else to use it? It doesn't say that there is another user logged in. There appears to be no way of deleting and reinastalling the App Store. There is no cache file I can find to be cleared. There is no preference option. There is no information. There appears to be no way of fixing this at all, short of wiping the hard drive and reinstalling the operating system. Is that what I have to do? WHY IS THIS SO HORRIBLY DESIGNED? And why is there no support short of the forum? I hate this about Apple (despite being a long-time Apple evangelist and OSX devotee).

The first thing you should do after acquiring a second-hand computer is to erase the internal drive and install a clean copy of OS X. How you do that depends on the model. Look it up on this page to see what version was originally installed.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.4 or 10.5, you need a boxed and shrink-wrapped retail Snow Leopard installation disc, which you can get from the Apple Store or a reputable reseller — not from eBay or anything of the kind. If the machine has less than 1 GB of memory, you'll need to add more in order to install 10.6. I suggest you install as much memory as it can take, according to the technical specifications.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.6, you need the gray installation discs that came with it. If you don't have the discs, order replacements from Apple. A retail disc, or the gray discs from another model, will not work.
To boot from an optical disc, insert it, then reboot and hold down the C key at the startup chime. Release the key when you see the gray Apple logo on the screen.
If the machine shipped with OS X 10.7 or later, it should boot into Internet Recovery mode when you hold down the key combination option-command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a spinning globe.
Once booted from the disc or in Internet Recovery, launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the internal drive — not any of the volume icons nested beneath it. In the Partition tab, select the default options: a GUID partition table with one data volume in Mac OS Extended (Journaled) format. This operation will permanently remove all existing data on the drive, which is what you should do.
After partitioning, quit Disk Utility and run the OS X Installer. When the installation is done, the system will automatically reboot into the Setup Assistant, which will prompt you to transfer the data from another Mac, its backups, or from a Windows computer. If you have any data to transfer, this is usually the best time to do it.
You should then run Software Update and install all available system updates from Apple. If you want to upgrade to a major version of OS X newer than 10.6, buy it from the Mac App Store. Note that you can't keep an upgraded version that was installed by the previous owner. He or she can't legally transfer it to you, and without the Apple ID you won't be able to update it in Software Update or reinstall, if that becomes necessary. The same goes for any App Store products that the previous owner installed — you have to repurchase them.
If the previous owner "accepted" the bundled iLife applications (iPhoto, iMovie, and Garage Band) in the App Store so that he or she could update them, then they're linked to that Apple ID and you won't be able to download them without buying them. Reportedly, Apple customer service has sometimes issued redemption codes for these apps to second owners who asked.

Unknown SID Error Message/Unable To Login to VM Manager

Hello,
I have installed VM Server and VM Manager on the latest Virtual Box install for Windows 7.
When I attempt to login into the VM Manager (ID: ovm , Default Password: Welcome1) - I get
the error message:
"... [APP: ovm_console] An incorrect username or password was specified. ...."
I selected all default passwords and database config values during installation (e.g., SID=XE).
(Note: I am able to login to VM Manager GNOME desktop but I am unable to log into the VM Manager UI.
I can log in as root in a Xterm window and the ovm Welcome1 password allows me into the GNOME environment. )
The critical error message in the AdminServer.log IS an unknown 'SID' message (even though the default SID=XE was selected):
"ORA-12505, TNS:listener does not currently know of SID given in connect descriptor"
I reviewed the responses to the "Unable to Login to VM Manager" thread so I decided to try the recommended response (unlocking ovs oracle password) even though the logs responses were different in certain areas. I logged in as Oracle with the correct user env and attempted to start the XE database via sqlplus sys user and startup command. I was unable to start the database due to the below error message:

Shutdown abort also did not get rid of this message. Symptons suggest there is a lock not being released (e.g., primitive file that needs to be cleaned up/removed.) I did remove oracle *.lck files from /tmp directory but this did not help either. The ps -elf output also reveals there are no oracle pmon processes running.
If anybody has additional information on this matter - it would be greatly appreciated.

Further investigation reveals the reason why I can't manually start the database as oracle user. The permissions on the oracle directories via the default install are incorrect. Running the command chown -R oracle:dba /u01/app/oracle/ allowed the database to start.. OVS user is now able to login into the XE database.
Now logging in w/ admin user in VM results in the following error message:
" Unexpected error during login (com.oracle.ovm.mgr.api.exception.FailedOperationException: OVMAPI_6000E Internal Error: Connection refused Connection refused Sat Nov 24 11:39:22 PST 2012), please consult logs for details.
I am spending way too much time on this Virtual box install. Any feedback would be appreciated.

IE10 Unable to Login- Indefinite Spinning Graphic

We currently have 2 Azure subscriptions and I am unable to login to manage.windowsazure.com using either my live ID or federated ID. When trying to login, I get past the first screen with the blue spinning wheel only to get stuck at the second screen
with the spinning wheel (right before the dashboard loads). The dashboard works fine with both Firefox and Chrome and will load up right away.
What is more troublesome is that I have signed up for the developer support subscription and when I try to open a ticket, the support portal is telling me that I only have access to billing support. As a result, I am here as a last resort.
This only is occurring on one of my computers. If I try from another, identical computer with IE10 I am able to login fine. Unfortunately, it is happening on my main system so I would like to try and resolve.
I am currently using Internet Explorer 10 on Windows 7 64-bit. I have tried both 32 and 64 bit versions of IE10 and upgraded to IE11 with the same result. I have tried resetting IE to defaults, tried inprivate and disabled all addons with no success. I have
deleted the cookies folder under my profile (including Low contents) with no success.
Strangely, I found that it does occasionally load for no reason but if I close or logout and reopen the management portal, it hangs again. I have tried pressing "Esc" and the wheel stops but no progress is made.
Any help is desperately appreciated!

As you said, you are only able to create a billing ticket , I recommend you to create a billing ticket .

Unable to login to caralog manager online with adminstrator user

I am unable to login to catalog manager online with administrator user. I get error as
'access denied for user to path /.'
I think this is because of catalog migration from dev to test.
What do i need to do so that i could login to catalog manager online with administrator?

Hi,
When the catalog is moved from Dev to Test/prod permissions are not copied. The users are part of the system folder (i.e Catalog Manager > Users > Properties > Owner Account = System Account), which is why Catalog Manager does not transfer the permissions.
I guess that is the reason you were able to run the reports from dev and not from test/prod. To have them work you might need to refresh GUID's check the Oracle note [ID 1467256.1].
1. Stop the Presentation Server.
2. Backup the instanceconfig.xml file at [middleware_home]/instances/instance1/config/OracleBIPresentationServicesComponent/coreapplication_obips1/instanceconfig.xml
Under the 'Catalog' section, add the 'Recover' tag. For Example:
<Catalog>
<UpgradeAndExit>false</UpgradeAndExit>
<UpdateAccountGUIDs>Recover</UpdateAccountGUIDs>
</Catalog>
4. Start the Presentation Server. It will perform a recovery and then after some time shutdown.
5. Remove the tag.
6. Start the Presentation Server again.

Unable to login Itunes. State my ID or password is invalid. However i am able to login to my settings and appleid page.

I am unable to login to iTune. It states that my ID orpassword is incorrect. However i am able to log into my iTunes settings and apple ID "manage my account" settings.

First of all, can you use that Name you created to Login on this page ? (see top right)
It will whizz your off to a sign in page but will come back to this page and show your Screen Name.
Have you allowed iChat through the Mac Firewall If you have the Firewall On
System Preferences > Security > Firewall (If ON then the Advanced Button > Allow Signed Apps and add iChat to the list).
So, with iChat you opened it and it took you through the Start Up Screens.
You chose AIM and entered the Screen Name you created and added the password.
You clicked the rest of the Continue Buttons until you got to the Done Button and iChat opened fully showing you a Buddy List that will not Login
Lets check iChat itself.
Open iChat and go to the iChat Menu > Preferences > Accounts
You will list the account you created an Bonjour (It is always there)
If you highlight (one click) the AIM Account the Panel on the right should be at the Account info one
Double check there is no typo (I know you said you are sure it is correct)
Now go to the Applications/Utilities folder and open Keychain Access.
In the lower Left panel select Passwords.
In the list on the right find your AIM entry.
Double Click it to bring up the Info panel
Near the bottom fill in the Check Box to Show Password
This will bring up a Dialogue box
Enter your Mac User Password and then click the Allow Once button
The Password for the AIM login should now appear.
Is It Correct ?
Edit and Save if not.
If you did something else or if the Name is an AIM valid one but was not registered at AIM such as an @mac.com or MobileMe name then post back with more details.

Unable to login to Mobile Console

Hi,
Not sure why but we are unable to login to the Mobile Server console. I'm positive that I am entering the correct password. However, the message we receive
is Please verify your username, password, url and try again!
Not sure how to troubleshoot this. Anyone have ideas? This worked fine this morning.

EFax unable to login - Photosmart 7510

I've used eFax up til today with no issues, when all of a sudden I got a prompt to log in to eFax on my 7150. Upon entering my credentials, I get "unable to login". I am pretty sure I know WHY this is happening, but don't know how to address it.
When logging in to the eFax site, you need to include dashes in between the area code, number, etc (i.e, 1-555-555-5555). Dashes are not an option when entering credentials on the 7510 (only #s - i.e, 15555555555). I'm pretty sure that is why it's not letting me in, but could be wrong. I see no way to include characters other than numbers when entering my eFax credentials on the 7510.
I did a search and see a lot of other folks having issues logging in to eFax from their HP device, but no solutions other than to create a new eFax account.
Help from HP or eFax would be appreciated.

CUPC unable to login

from title what can be the problem? i follow all the guide but i dont know why i'm unable to login!! I think that the problem can be with LDAP and anonimous query. is this a possible solution? in my company, Anonimous query will be against Security solution . There is a possible workaround?

The login authentication for CUPC is against the Callmanager. Check the gateway configuration on both ends. Verify AXL username/password are correct. Run troubleshooter to see where the issue is and it should give you a good idea of the issue.
You will also want to implement digest credentials for users to get Presence state to show.
Anonymous Bind won't come into play until you are trying to search for users in the LDAP, so if you can't log in, you aren't that far yet.
To address the second question, Anonymous query is not necessary. Just use a user account with sufficient read access for the OU.
