I'm using a Logitech MX Laser cordless mouse...

which has been fine for the last two years. When I switched to Lion, suddenly the click-drag doesn't work. If I left-click on something and start dragging, it drops the item after about a second. Almost like I am releasing the mouse button when I am not. I know it isn't a battery or connection issue. I created a guest accound and it seems to work fine on this new account. But on the Admin account I cannot click and drag. Any ideas?

Some of the Command keys do work using the keyboard, Command-C and Command-V for copy and paste are 2 that do work. But Command-F does not.
You need to taap the wrench icon and choose Find from within its pop-up menu.
You could post to Apple Feedback that you would like the Command-F sequence to work.

but noticed something similar about two months ago when i bought el cheapo microsoft mouse $18) at staples.
works fine, except that when we "wake up" the mac, SOMETIMES the mouse cursor isn't on the screen.
we have to unplug the mouse USB cable from the keyboard, plug it in again (doesn't matter which USB port we use) and then the mouse cursor shows up.
this problem only happens sometimes, but it's a regular thing.
i have tried shutting down the mac, rebooting. the problem persists.
this began happening after i went to OS 10.4.5, and AFTER i got that new mouse.

You can use it with any machine that will accept the receiver dongle.

Hi and welcome to Discussions,
I use two older Logitechs (MX-500 and MX-510) with my Macs because I had difficulties (finger-coordinations) with the Mighty Mouse.
You should not have any problems using them.
However the additional buttons can not be configured by OSX, so if you want using them you can use the Logitech Control Center (works for me, but others have reported problems with it) of third-party software like SteerMouse to configure the buttons.

Logitech Cordless Mouse Suddenly Died On eMac Fine On G3iMac

Yesterday I got back from my holiday and switched on my eMac.
All was well for a few seconds and then the cursor froze. {Around that time the desktop went peculiar as though the F11 key had been pressed though this may have nothing to do with it}.
I unplugged my Black Logitech Cordless Optical Mouse (which has worked perfectly for over a year) and substituted the original Apple mouse. Of course it worked.
Thinking that the batteries might be weak, I put new ones in and pressed the "connect" buttons. Still nothing happened.
I then plugged the Apple mouse into the spare USB socket on the keyboard and opened the System Profiler. The computer was recognising the Logitech Receiver that was plugged in.
I have tried everything I can think of including restarting the computer but to no avail. I can't even find any Preference Files to trash! I have repaired the permissions.
b I feared the mouse had suffered some fatal affliction but this morning when I plugged it into my G3 iMac it worked normally!
I tried again on the eMac but it was completely dead.
As the system Profiler recognises the presence of the receiver I can only guess that there must be some program conflict - but why would it occur so suddenly, especially as I have downloaded/installed nothing new recently?
I would appreciate any helpful suggestions.

I forgot to mention that I had used Preferential Treatment. I also searched for mouse-related plists and found absolutely nothing.
(I have never used the Logitech Control Centre software because once installed the cursor used to move normally but clicking on anything resulted in nothing happening! Logitech gave me a work-around but it was extremely complicated, involved delving deeply into the UNIX heart of the computer and seemed too risky to be worth trying. In any case the mouse worked perfectly by just plugging it in and relying on the native OSX software).
Incidentally, whilst trying to get the cordless mouse to work with the eMac I moved the receiver all over the place just in case there were any reception black-spots or something in the room was causing interference - but that didn't help.
I have now decided the simplest solution is to use the normal 3 button corded mouse (which had been connected to my G3iMac) on the eMac and the dodgy mouse can work happily with the G3.

I would first suggest uninstalling the software that is already on your computer for the printer. I have included the document 'Uninstalling the Printer Software'. Please choose the option for Windows 8, as it will be the same steps for Windows 8.1.
After the uninstall is completed. Please download and run the Printer Install Wizard. This will make sure that you do get the most current and compatible software for your computer, and printer.

Does it automatically make folders named after the volume labels? And does it handle the conversion of spaces and non-alphanumeric characters to octal codes?
I could read the script but it would be faster for everyone reading, if you leave the answer as a reply.
I also think that there should be some major work done on modernizing the fstab, either by replacing it with a better implementation of file system mounting or changing the file structure and adding in better handling of non-alphanumerics. I don't want to have to look up a stupid octal table every time I type in my labels.

We would have no idea, you need to check the Logitech website to see if they have any updates to their software.

Nope. The Compatibility listing on that very page, does not show the first generation iPad as a compatible device. Likely because it uses the built in magnets of the newer iPads to attach.
The Bluetooth connection should most probably work though. It just won't be able to be attached to the iPad first gen.

both mice do have similar built quality (both have Thinkpad logo) and both follow same details (click sound, click travel etc.). So it is more about features and functions to decide.
I would personally go with Laser mouse as Laser works on more surfaces and provides better tracking. That's also why it is a bit more expensive than Precision mouse.

Cordless mouse not working

G5 using OSX 10.4.11
I have a Microsoft cordless mouse that was working but stopped. Arrow freezes on screen. A few times I removed battery and mouse worked until mouse was lifted from pad then stopped working at all. I have a Logitech cordless mouse that the arrow moves but the blinking bar stays stuck in the browser bar and you cannot click and use it anywhere else on the screen. The stock plug in Mac mouse that came with computer works fine. I tried different USB ports for plugging in both cordless mouse. Not working. All worked fine until computer crashed a week ago.

No mouse appears in Check System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items. Microsoft mouse does not come with any drivers, you just plug in USB adapter and use. I do not think the Logitech came with a disk either. I searched Hard drive for logitech file and see none. I am at a loss.
Logitech mouse left click stopped working, restarted computer and did not work at all after that (last week). Began to use Microsoft cordless and that worked for a week and now it is frozen.
I do not have either LCCScrollEnhancer.ape from the Applications Enhancer folder in the user's library anywhere on my computer.
