I'm using Adobe Acrobat X (Ver 10.1.4) and up until recently i've been able to convert Autocad 2012

I'm using Adobe Acrobat X (Ver 10.1.4) and up until recently i've been able to convert Autocad 2012 .dwg files to .pdf, but after one of the automatic updates I get an error now that says "Cannot convert file type". Any ideas why Autocad .dwg files aren't supported anymore?

I've tried to print to the Adobe PDF printer and that doesn't work anymore either. I used to be able to go into windows explorer and select multiple files, right click them, then select "Combine supported files in Acrobat...". This method used to work until the latest automatic upgrade.

  • I'm using Adobe Acrobat 9 Pro on my Mac and Cannot edit text?

    Hi,
I am trying to edit the content of a document that I scanned into a PDF in Adobe Acrobat 9. How do I delete and retype the text?? Please help.

You would first have to perform OCR on on the scanned pages. Personally, I think if you really want to edit scanned pages, you are better off using a dedicated OCR program rather than Acrobat.

  • Using Adobe Acrobat 7.0 w/Reader 9.0: Cannot Enable Commenting

    Hello,
Currently, I use Adobe Acrobat 7.0 to PDF documents and then send them out for review.
When I send out the PDF documents in an email-based review, my colleagues open the documents with Adobe Acrobat Reader 9.0, but are unable to add and save comments to the document. Why not?
How do I enable Adobe Acrobat 7.0 documents for commenting?
    Thank you and best regards!

In Adobe v.7.1.0, Standard Version, the Comments menu does not have the
    "Enable for Commenting" option.
    Please see attached.
Is it only in Adobe Acrobat, v.8.0, that the Enable for Commenting
option exists to allow your reviewers who only have Reader to add
comments to the PDF document that you distribute?
    Best regards,

How do I upgrade Acrobat Pro 9.5.5?
I have been an Adobe customer since 1991 on an old IICi.  A while ago I purchased Creative suite 4.  I have Adobe Acrobat 4, ver. 9.5.5.  Are there any updates I can apply?  What is involved in updating if I want to avoid the cloud?  I have a satellite connection that charges for bandwidth usage.  I have a 27" iMac, using 10.10.3.

    Hi Kenneth ,
We are sorry but you would not be able to update from Creative Suite 4 .The reason being there are no updates available for Acrobat version 9 .It is quite an older version so you are unfortunately not eligible for any updates or upgrade .
The best option for you would be to opt for Acrobat DC .
You could either for Acrobat DC subscription or perpetual version .Here is the link to download the same .

You could also opt for Acrobat DC Creative Cloud subscription

    Good Morning again,
I am AMAZED – I thought I was the only one that get up real early - I came into the office around 06:00 EST  (Pennsylvania, USA).  When I wrote my last email to you, I assumed there is no way you will  get a chance to respond for quite a few hours – especially if you on the West Coast!
Since I use this wonderful program every day in my work, I had a brainstorm!  I retrieved the original disc:
    ·         I uninstalled Acrobat X Pro
    ·         I took the original disc and reinstalled the program.
o   The program installed fine and everything was going great until I searched for updates
    ·         I told the system to run the update and it came back with "Update failed An error occurred.  Please check updates again later Error: 1602”
I tried the update 2 times and then saw your reply telling me NOT to uninstall.   L  Honest, I'm very appreciative any guidance you might be able to give – I didn't mean it all to go against your guidance  as just I never dreamed you would be that quick to respond.
Now the program is re-installed (without updates) is you have any ideas what I might do to add the patches to my newly installed (old) program?
    ·         I tried to install the latest update as the program requested.
    ·         Should I start installing each of the sequential updates one at a time?
BTW – you are absolutely correct – I did try to include a screenshot (.jpg).  I sent my last request 2 ways:
    ·         #1 as a reply to the email you sent and
    ·         #2 I also went on to the website and replied from there with the same information.
I'm going to try to do JUST the reply via email this time.  Please let me know if you did receive this.
Thanks again for your help & guidance,
    Barry

  • Can I create PAdES signature using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0?

    Hi
Can I create PAdES (PDF Advanced Electronic Signatures, Technical Specification ETSI TS 102 778) signature using Adobe Acrobat 8.0 or 9.0?
ETSI Technical Specification (TS) 102 778 contains five parts:
    • Part 1: PAdES Overview – a framework document for PAdES
    • Part 2: PAdES Basic – Profile based on ISO 32000-1
    • Part 3: PAdES Enhanced – PAdES-Basic Electronic Signatures and PAdES-Explicit Policy Electronic Signatures Profiles
    • Part 4: PAdES Long Term – PAdES-Long Term Validation Profile
    • Part 5: PAdES for XML Content – Profiles for XAdES signatures of XML content in PDF files
All five parts were published on 31 July 2009.
    Thanks for answer.
    Dragan

    Hi,
    The short answer is yes.
Acrobat 8 and later support all of requirements of PAdES such as serial signing, long term validation (time stamping and embedded revocation responses) and signatures in the PKCS#7 format.

  • Can I open a PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 in iFrame ?Please tell me if it is possible?

I have a PDF and I want to open it for preview in the Browser and also want to edit it ,in the same browser by using Adobe Acrobat.

It won't work, they are linked to your account and can only be played via iTunes on a computer, an iOS device or Apple TV. You might be able to get a cable to link your Mac to your TV so that you can play/mirror it through your TV e.g. if it's a Macbook with an HDMI socket and your TV also has an HDMI socket then you could try an HDMI to HDMI cable (Apple do them, and electrical stores should also have them) - I've used one to play iTunes TV programmes on my TV (though I don't think that I got sound through my TV, only my Mac).

I have a similar problem which i did not have before...and it exists only in some powerpoint files which i want to print as a pdf file...and i get the same message as above.
the log says the bellow details...what's the problem and how can i resolve it? thanks.

  • How can I add a button to add multiple image in PDF from using adobe acrobat pro?

I have to create a pdf form using Adobe Acrobat Pro X.
In this form I want to add a button where I can add multiple images to the field.
I have tried using javascript event.target.buttonImportIcon(); and successfully add an image, but when I want to add the 2nd image it automatically overwrites the previous one.
Is there any way to solve this issue? I would like to have a form where I can add a lot of images in it. It is possible in word, but we really have to use adobe.
    Thanks

    Hi thanks for your answer.
I can add multiple button, but if there are 10 images that I wan to add, then I have to create 10 buttons.
Moreover, the pictures will be placed on top of each other and it means that you cannot see it clearly.

Hi. I use Adobe Acrobat XI pro to make a PDF ebook embedded with audio. It works really well on my computer-I can read the book and hear the auto play mp3. The problem is, when I send it to my customers, they have difficulty hearing the audio. A few of them say they have Flash player on their PC and somehow they still can't hear, some say their Google Chrome browser tells them they've already got one flash player while they try to download one. For me, I had to download two versions of Flash player to be able to access to the audio. I don't know what the problem is, is it because it's the latest version of Adobe Acrobat XI pro that people with older version of Adobe reader or flash player can't open it properly? Or is it something else? How can I make sure every customer with different system can access to my books? Hope to hear from you ASAP! Thank you very much.

And how are the customers accessing the PDFs?
    What devices are they using?
What program or apps with versions are they using?
I this age of other then PDF eBooks formats and reader program and apss for computers and mobile devices for these formats I would look at creating the books in one or more of the eBook formats.
Google Chrome and FireFox both have their own version of a PDF reader plug-in and they are well known to be less capable than Adobe Reader. It is possible to configure these products to use Adobe Reader.

  • Problems in Windows 8 creating PDF documents using Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5

I am running Windows 8 with the latest version of MS Office (version 14) and Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.5.5.  I was not having any problems making/printing PDF documents until about 30 days ago.  The only things that I can think of that have changed during this time period is 1) I updated my Office Suite to version 14 from the previous version and, most recently, 2) my Adobe Acrobat Reader program was automatically updated to the latest version.  I ended-up uninstalled Adobe Reader becuase the new program became my default for openning all Adobe PDF files, even when I tried to force my computer to use Adobe Acrobat Pro as the default (becuase doing so allows me to edit docments with features not available in the free Reader version).  When I go to print a Word document, for example, to Adobe Acrobat, the process stalls/stops at the point where you are supposed to choose a location to print/safe the new PDF document file.  All I get is the Save-As Screen with most of the buttons and folder tree blank (see example below).  After 5-10 seconds, "not responding" shows up in the title of the Save-As Screen and I have to click the "X" box in the upper right corner to abort.  This problem seems to have first started when trying to print pictures from the Windows picture viewer.  After a while long, I noticed that the same problem occured when printing from my internet browser (Firefox), but I coudl still print from Word or Excel.  Now, as of the last couple of days, I can't print from any program except the basic Paint software program.  I think this may actually be a Windows issue because when trying to toublshoot this problem, I re-installed Adobe Acrobat Pro and it did not help. I also tried making PDF documents using the free PrimoPDF software and had the exact same problem.  I have no idea where to go from here.  All I know is that I desperately need to create PDF documents and cannot!  Please help!!

You're asking a lot of ancient Acrobat to work with an Office that never existed when it was made. "Just updated my office suite" is a massive change, and Window 8 didn't exist at that time either...

  • How can I integrate add-ons into a PDF (Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox), such as Babylon English Dictionary?

How can I integrate the Fox add-ons into a PDF (Use Adobe Acrobat (in Firefox), such as Babylon English Dictionary? Many PDF do support my add-ons. BTW, the PDF in question is one that I have uploaded to my web site.

Babylon would need to support Adobe Acrobat for that to happen.

  • Not able to convert word file to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard

    Hi,
I am not able to convert word file to PDF using Adobe Acrobat 9 Standard. When I try to convert, it starts the process and in between I am getting this prompt, as shown in figure below and the conversion process stops. The PDF is not created.
Note: The filename 'Acr85.doc' in the above prompt keeps changing and is random.
I tried clicking Yes, No and Cancel on the above prompt, but the conversion process just stops and PDF is not getting generated.
I am able to create PDFs from web pages. No issues with that. Not working only with Word.
Can someone help me with this.
    Thanks,

In MSWord please changes the settings as "Adobe PDF" menu => "Change Conversion Settings" goto Tab Bookmark and clicks the option Convert Word Bookmarks. Now you convert the Doc to PDF you can achieve the Bookmark.
    Hope this help you

  • Why can't I create Fillable PDF Forms using Adobe Acrobat X Pro and upload to Dreamweaver?

I can create fillable PDF Forms using Adobe Acrobat X Pro. I can email them to someone using Adobe Reader (free) and they can fill them, save and email to me. But when I upload the form to Dreamweaver CS5, the form is not fillable. And yes, I saved it as a Reader Extended PDF-Enable Additional Features.

I see no reason for this form to fail in Reader. Some questions for you.
    1. On the system with Adobe Reader, what is the system and the version of Adobe Reader?
    2. Are you viewing the PDF in a browser on the system with Reader, or in an Adobe Reader window?
    3. If it's a browser
    (a) what is the browser
    (b) if you download the file instead, and open directly in Reader, what happens?
