If you put the photo in the Private folder and then delete it from the.Camera Roll it will be deleted from both places. The photo in the Private folder is not a copy. It is just a pointer to the photo stored in the Camera Roll.

I have downloaded three "ready-made" websites for me and it is supposed to have Wordpress in as well. I can see the folders in my downloads but I can't open them. It refers to a "zip" file which I don't see nor a "dmg", only a blue folder. Can anyone help me to figure out how to get this open and set up on my computer? I guess you can tell I'm new and very frustrated. Thank you!It's not clear what you mean by 'see the folders in my downloads but I can't open them', although it seems possible that a zip file opened/unzipped to create them.
Perhaps if you include a screenshot, and/or a link to the site where you got these, and describe exactly what happens when you try to open a folder that won't open. -
Just last week, I plugged in my iphone 3g into iTunes and for some reason I can't edit my apps anymore. All the other tabs (music, video, etc.) are all fine, but my apps tab/screen is all grayed out. I can't edit any of my apps now. What's the deal? I can't seem to find anything similar on the support pages, so I'm desperate to find out what the deal is...please help!
Yes, it's checked as it's how I left it when I was able to edit the page before...now the whole tab is just grayed out and I can't check or uncheck anything. Nothing happens. So frustrated...thanks for any help or suggestions. I have multiple devices on my account and this is the only one that this is happening with when I connect to iTunes. Ugh!

My photos are not showing up as layers in the layers panel, only as one layer, so I am not able to make changes to the layers. Does anyone know why this is happening? Am I downloading them from my camera wrong? I have watched the video and the photos don't open that way on my layers panel. Any help would be appreciated, I would like to edit out the background and turn it a different color.

Photos from cameras or scans have only one layer (the 'background' layer).
You can start with that 'background' layer and duplicate it or add other layers in the editing process. For instance you can make a selection of a subject and put it on another layer; a common use is to desaturate the 'background' and to keep the color in the selected subject in your newly created layer. -

The HP PhotoSmart 5514 is on Apple's list of AirPrint printers, so it should work. <iOS: AirPrint 101>
One problem might be that your WiFi router does not correctly handle Bonjour data required by AirPrint. Contact the router's manufacturer to see if there is a change to its setup or a firmware update that will solve the problem.
I had a printing problem several months ago, where the WiFi had jumped to a neighbor's WiFi that happened to have the same name. There are a LOT of WiFi routers out there named "Linksys"!

My MacBook Pro turns on but not all the way, it gives me an icon of a grey folder with a question mark in the middle, and won't go further that that. Anyone knows why, or what's the problem?

Hi - for any photo, info in mountain lion shows a different file size than Photoshop does. I've tested with both CS3 and CS6 on 10.8.2 and get the same problem. This doesn't happen with CS3 and OSX10.4 or any previous versions of Photoshop and OSX. Anyone know why?
this one is actually a really rare symptom of a flaky connection to the ipod on a Windows PC. there's more going on in terms of hardware on nanos and 5th gens than in the earlier models ... so if the connection is flaky to precisely the right/wrong degree, itunes will see the ipod, but misidentify it as an earlier version of ipod.
tracking down the cause of the flakiness can be tricky ... as you already know ...
just checking. have you tried connecting with a different (known-good) USB cable? does that seem to have any impact on the rate of occurence of the problem? -
My friend and I share an iCal calendar through iCloud. Until recently, we received email notificiations anytime either of us made changes to exisiting calendar events or added new items to the calendar. Does anyone know why these email notificiations stopped?
iCloud was experiencing problems with this a couple of days ago, where many users with shared calendars were getting email notifications even though their iCloud settings did not select to receive them. Perhaps when they fixed this problem it reverted your settings to not receive email notifications. Got to iCloud and check your setting for this. If it still look correct, try turning off email notifications, save the change, then turn them back on again and save the change again.

With the latest upgrade to iPhoto, Keywords no longer display under the photo, even when Display Keywords is turned on. Does anyone know why?
Keywords have been moved into the Info tray at the right. Don't know why it was changed. You can send a request to change it back to Apple via http://www.apple.com/feedback/iphoto.html.

Nikon 300S. It is set to NEF(RAW) + JPEG fine. When I import to Lightroom I get message "There was an error working with the photo? Does anyone know why or how to correct?

Have you tried resetting your device by pressing and holding the Home button and power button until the silver apple appears?
The next step would be to restore the iphone as new in iTunes. If that doesn't work, make an appointment at the Genius Bar at the nearest Apple Store.
