I have sync my ipone 5 tonight to ios 6.0.1 and now my imessage and facetime wont accept my apple id password. I have tried renewing my password also rebooting my phone and restoreing it to factory settings but to no joy any help with this will be much appreciated

Ah! Not Mavericks! I'm afraid that you'll need to find the original discs that came with your computer and follow the instructions here -> http://support.apple.com/kb/ph6317.
Good luck,

  • Wont accept apple id password

i backed up my iphone i restored it to factory, now it wont accept me password to put back up stuff back on how do i get it sorted?

How exactly, did you change it? You mean you've changed the backup password since it told you it was incorrect? A new password would only affect NEW backups. Not existing ones.  If you can't recall the correct password for the backup you want to restore from, then you can't use it.

    HELP
I work in Ghana West Africa, I have had a MacBook pro for a year and someone accidently dropped a jar of tomato sause on my prize possession (Apple and Tomato sause do not go together, well it chooked and died.
I ordered another MacBook Pro on the Apple web site and had it hand carried to Ghana by a fellow employee.
When I logged in I used the same admin password (Twice) and all was OK. Then when i went to log in again it would not accept it. Tried phoning Apple help line, no one answers. Tried everything and then checked the forum. Tried to reinstall the Operating system but the machine wont except the second disk says it is damaged. So I am in limbo as there are no Apple stores in Ghana. Can any one help??

When you turn it on it reqests for the second disk, if i install the disk it gets half way and then rejects it as being damaged.
I have tried to start the system holding down the "C" key and then rebooting in the operating system already installed, but it wont allow me, it restarts and goes straight to requesting the second disk.
I think all I need is a new second disk, but no one answers the phone at Apple in Australaia. And I cannot find any where on the web site I can email and request a new one. Always told to go to an "Apple Authrosised Reseller" hmmm Lots of them in the jungles of West Africa!!!

  • Just updated my 3GS to the IOS 6 and now I'm locked out and it wont accept my former password, help!

I updated it and now I can't even get into the phone. I tried my old password, my password that I had before that, and common factory passwords but it won't accept any of them. I don't know what to do.

Nevermind, I figured it out. My case was interfering with me entering in the password.

  • Aiport Wont accept WEP Security password

I have a secured wireless network like most people. If i try to connect to my network and i enter the WEP password (i tried lower case and capital) it says there was an error connecting, i made sure the password was accurate. If i disable the wirelss security airport picks up the connection in a flash. Any suggestions or should i risk using a non-secured wireless network?
Mac Mini with intel duo   Mac OS X (10.4.5)

I have a secured wireless network like most people. If i try to connect to my network and i enter the WEP password (i tried lower case and capital) it says there was an error connecting,
Unfortunately most people think WEP is secure. It is not secure at all and can be cracked by amateur and experiended hackers using easily obtainable tools on the internet.
The only security you should consider using is WPA or WPA2.
But if your wifi router does not support WPA until you get a new one you can use WEP keys with most non apple wifi routers if you put a dollar sign infront of the WEP key.

  • I have just purchased a macbook pro and now it wont accept my administrator password

how do i reset my admin password

When you initially set up your system it should have run you through the setup assistant where you created your account (or migrated from an older system). After doing this, were you able to log into your system at least once successfully? Since the last time you were successfully able to log in, have you made any significant changes to the system, such as installing an application or any updates?

  • My itouch won't accept my wifi password...what do i do?

I just got my itouch a couple of days ago. I use a wifi connection at home and it works well with my macbook pro. I don't have any issues with that. The thing is my itouch wont accept the wifi password. I don't understand why. I've reset the modem and my itouch and still nothing. I'm not sure what's wrong nor how to fix it. Help will be much appreciated. Thank you.

  • New macbook pro wont accept password

I moved everything over from my i5 MBP to a new i7 via utilities migration assistant. However the new macbook pro wont accept my password, nor will it recognise the other user account passwords. Works fine on the i5.
In Disc Utilities, change password asks me to select an image, but does not light up "change" when I select user.
    Any ideas?

Is you new MBP the 2010 model or is it a newer model running Mountain Lion?
If it's a newer model running ML, you can simply boot into your Recovery partition (hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting) and when you get to the Recovery window, select Terminal from the Utilities menu. In Terminal, type
    resetpassword
and hit Return. A small app will open that will allow you to change the password for the user that you select. Then just reboot and use the new password.
If, indeed, you're running 10.6.4, you'll need the installation disc to use the Reset password utility.
    Good luck,
    Clinton

Adding Open DNS codes to your Network Preferences, should give good results in terms of speed-up as well as added security, (including anti-phishing and redirects) (Full information about Open DNS is here: http://www.opendns.com/home/nobloat ) and further independent information can be read here:
    http://reviews.cnet.com/8301-13727_7-57338784-263/free-dnscrypt-tool-enhances-ma c-web-security/?tag=mncol;txt
    and here:
    http://www.macworld.com/article/1146064/troubleshootdns.html?t=234
Open System Preferences/Network. Double click on your connection type, or select it in the drop-down menu, and in the box marked 'DNS Servers' add the following two numbers:
    208.67.222.222
    208.67.220.220
(You can also enter them if you click on Advanced and then DNS)
Sometimes reversing the order of the DNS numbers can be beneficial in cases where there is a long delay before web pages start to load, and then suddenly load at normal speed:

Starting in Firefox 14, Firefox will guess an address and place it in the address bar (AutoFill feature). If you have ever connected to the site using a secure (HTTPS) connection, then Firefox will try to connect security to the address suggested by the AutoFill feature. To work around this you can:
    * Edit the address to force Firefox to interpret your entry literally. For example, if there is a trailing / you can remove it.
    * Turn off the URL bar AutoFill feature and just use the AutoSuggest drop-down.
    * Clear Firefox's memory of the site so it doesn't default to a secure connection (however, this also removes any bookmarks you have to pages on the site).
To disable the in-address-bar autofill without losing the suggestions that appear below the bar:
    (1) In a new tab, type or paste '''about:config''' in the address bar and press Enter. Click the button promising to be careful.
    (2) In the filter box, type or paste '''autofill''' and pause while the list is filtered
    (3) Double-click '''browser.urlbar.autoFill''' to toggle it from true to false. You're done with about:config and you can close this tab.
"Forget about this site" will clear cache, history, bookmarks, and permissions for the site, and probably any saved certificate. There are two ways to get to this:
    * History > Show All History, right-click an entry for the site > "Forget about this site"
    * Type or paste about:permissions in the address bar and press Enter, then select the site from the list on the left side, and click the "Forget about this site" button on the right side
Depending on the size of your history and cache, this may lock Firefox up for a minute or two while everything is cleansed.
