I messed up a transfer from one iPad to another, How can I fix this?
I was following the instructions I found on osxdaily to transfer using iTunes, but the new iPad didn't register and iTunes wants to delete everything off the old one.
Just sync the games from the iTunes Library on your computer to the new iPad. The games will already be in there if you've been syncing the iPad with iTunes regularly as designed.

iMessage won't work on iPad 4 or iPhone 4 following iOS 7 update, when I try and send it sticks at "sending"
How can I fix this?Mine's much worst - can't send nor receive emails from Yahoo and Gmail. It simply won't connect. Gmail first gives an error about the SSL and to try again without it. But, it still won't connect. Yahoo on the other hand keeps on saying that the apple.imap server is not responding no matter what settings I change. It really does seem that there's something wrong on their end, however, it seems selective.
This is on top of the fact that all of my contacts were erased and the Personal Hotspot disappears intermittently.
By the way, I came from 4.2. I updated my wife's from 4.1 and her's is just peachy. -

My iMac has suddenly become very slow to wake from "sleep." How do I fix this and what is causing the problem? Even the mouse wakes very slowly.
Try these basic troubleshooting steps.
1. Quit all app scompletely and restart the iPad. Go to the home screen first by tapping the home button. Double tap the home button and the task bar will appear with all of your recent/open apps displayed at the bottom. Tap and hold down on any app icon until it begins to wiggle. Tap the minus sign in the upper left corner of the app that you want to close. Tap the home button or anywhere above the task bar. Restart the iPad.
Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button.
2. Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider - let go of the buttons.
3. Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History, Cookies and Data. Restart the iPad. Restart the iPad by holding down on the sleep button until the red slider appears and then slide to shut off. To power up hold the sleep button until the Apple logo appears and let go of the button. -
I gifted my girlfriend an album from iTunes, but payment for the album was taken from my credit card rather than the $59 credit I've got on my account. Why has this occured? The priority payment is typically from the store credit, rather than a credit card on file. How can I avoid this in the future? Can I even get a refund for this?
This is complete BS. Why can't apple allow gifting from a Gift card? For being a company that prides themselves on the "user friendliness" of their products they sure don't have a freaking clue about how un-user friendly they are themselves.

WHen i sync my new iPad Air IOS 7 , all my photos sync in landscape mode. How can I keep the original orientation of photos? If I edit and rotate, it is saved in camera roll, not in the album.
Just to conclude, and give hope for any still suffering, I succesfully upgraded my iPAD to ios5 yesterday evening.
I did have a conversation with Apple support a couple of days agao, in line with many others I was given various reasons why things oustide the Apple environment might be the root cause such as
- ports blocked on the network I was using (although when I asked which ones they weren't certain - "80 and 442 we think" was the response
- a fault on the iPAD
- slow network connection
The more interesting part of teh conversation was Apple was that the firmware update part of the install actually involves quite a lot of interaction with apple servers. My conclusion would be that the well documented performance problems in the early days after ios5 release were the root cause of my problem - reference to network ports. iPAD faults were just a smokescreen.
My key learning - don't upgrade soon after a major release, I already knew this but when offered an update I didn't go back and check precisley when it had been released so I should have paid more attention :-) -
Now when I have a Bookmark list on screen and I hit a link, the list disappears. So to jump around from one web page to another I have to keep doing extra clicks to once again make the Bookmark list visible. This wasn't true before. Is there a way to get back to the previous situation, which I found better?
I failed to inform you in my previous reply that there is a button available that you can add to the navigation toolbar to open or close the sidebar. An illustration is below. Note that the Bookmark Sidebar button has no drop-down indicator. Both unfortunately display the same "tooltip" ("Display your bookmarks") when you mouse-over the button

How can I correct the issue of Safari not connecting on my iPad Air? It was working great 2 days ago.....now on September 20 it is not working! I have an internet connection but Safari will not open. "Safari cannot open the page because it could not connect to the server."
Hello Beckieor,
After reviewing your post, I have located an article that can help in this situation. It contains a number of troubleshooting steps and helpful advice concerning network issues:
iOS: Troubleshooting Wi-Fi networks and connections
Follow these steps to troubleshoot the above issues:
Be sure you're in range of your Wi-Fi router (access point).
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and turn Wi-Fi off and on. If your Wi-Fi setting is dimmed, follow these steps.
Confirm that your Wi-Fi router and cable or DSL modem are connected to power, turned on, and connected to the Internet. If not, refer to your network administrator or Internet service provider (ISP) for assistance.
Restart your iOS device.
Tap Settings > Wi-Fi and locate the Wi-Fi network to which you're connected.
Tap and Forget this Network.
Try to connect to your desired Wi-Fi network.
Note: You may need to enter your Wi-Fi password again if your network requires one.
Turn your Wi-Fi router off and on2. If your ISP also provides cable or phone service, check with them before attempting this step to avoid interruption of service.
Update your device to the latest version of software.
Update your Wi-Fi router to the latest firmware2. For AirPort Base Stations, install updates using the AirPort Utility.
Thank you for contributing to Apple Support Communities.

Recently I have lost the ability to access hyperlinks from my email. Need help fixing this issue.
Try quitting Mail and then reset the iPad. Double click the Home button to show the screen with running and recently used apps. Each app icon will have a sample page above it. Flick up on the page (not the app icon) and the page will fly away and the app icon will disappear. This quits that app. Then reset your device. Press and hold the Home and Sleep buttons simultaneously until the Apple logo appears. Let go of the buttons and let the device restart. See if that fixes your problem.

After my brother transferred all my files from my old computer to an external hard drive, he then put them onto my new computer. It appears that 100 songs which I downloaded from Frostwire years ago have the exclamation mark next to them. I cannot find the files on my new computer, and cannot remember where they were saved to on my old computer as it was over 3 years ago. I have also tried to consolidate the files as I've found people suggested, but that is not working. I have also read that you should tell itunes that you are moving the music, but my old laptop cannot be read when it is on. Is there any other way tofix this issue? I don't want to have to buy over 100 songs which I already have.

Need help on this, it's really annoying for me and the person that calls me, as they need to do a second call so that my phone rings, and it also looks like i rejected the first one, not good for business
Reset the device:
Press and hold the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button together for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears.
If that doesn't help, tap Settings > General > Reset > Reset All Settings -
Don't know what else to add in addition to what I say above. I am running Windows 7 Service Pack 1. Also use Windows Internet Explorer, Google Chrome.
You drag the window by its Title Bar, always been the same for Windows.

When I sync up my HD videos won't transfer onto my IPOD- Why? How can I fix this?
I have an IPod Classic... I'm trying to sync up my HD videos- tv shows but they won't transfer onto my IPOD. Anyone know why?
Ok so HD video is not supported, which explains the problem so what is the solution? Do I have to put it through a converter to make the data and bit rate smaller? Would that even be possible?
