I messed up files too many

I think i added my old jam packs, lucky me i already had them all. Here is the problem, i shifted all loops to external disk and logic recognizes them but i have triplicates of most files. It looks like i have 2 remixes and 2 rhythm I have caf and aif for both and i am not sure what to keep. With all picked i have 64k of loops. i compared my view window, to others i have seen, and i have an extra rhythm and i had all files in remix duplicated in both formats. i have seperated those but not sure which ones to keep Thanks. Jon

Hey Jon,
I don't think you messed up any files. They are probably just double (or triple) indexed. What you need to do is trash the Apple Loop Index files and re-index only the loops you want to use (you can trash any extra loops to save hard drive space too). Find /Mac HD/Library/Audio/Apple Loop Index and /Mac HD/User/Library/Audio/Apple Loop Index. Trash these files (make backups if you're worried) and then drag the loops from the external drive into Logic's Loop Browser. They will re-index and should only show 1 set thereafter.
As for which files to keep that depends on your needs. .aif files are larger but more universal (other apps, older GarageBand) with little? or no metadata and .caf are 1/2 size, Apple oriented and lots of metadata storage. Personally I trashed the .aif and am sticking with .caf.
Hope That Helps,
Dave

  • Huge Conversion File - Too many lines

    Hi Experts,
Is there any way to split a Conversion File?
I have a Conversión file with too many lines, so when I save it, it takes a lot of time, (11.000 rows, more than half an hour) and sometimes the Excel hand up (froze).
It is becaming a problem, because everytime I save the Conversion file, I can not use the excel for a while.
    Any idea?
    Thanks in advance.
    Iria

    Iria and Patrick,
I want to give an information about this.
BPC transformation file can be multiple steps in one file.
    For example,
    *Options
    *Transformation
    *Conversion
    *Options
    *Transformation
    *Conversion
    *Options
    *Transformation
    *Conversion
Therefore, If you only has a problem with conversion, you can do it as below
    *Options
    *Transformation
    *Conversion
           conversion part1
    *Options
    *Transformation
    *Conversion
           conversion part2
    *Options
    *Transformation
    *Conversion
           conversion part3
Note 1 :  If you don't need multiple transformation, you only need to specifiy it in the first transformation.
Note 2 :  Conversion file can have multiple Tabs in one conversion excel workbook but I am not sure about the performance
when you do that. So please try two things.
                       1. Split it into multiple worksheet
                       2. Split it into multiple workbooks.
Please update your result for others.
Note3 : You don't need multiple Convert task, it will be executed in a convert task.
I hope it will help you
    Thank you.

  • 8g touch updated 4.2.1, problems synching apps and music. gives multiple errors; device times out, internal device errors, network times out, duplicate file, too many files open. itunes diagnostics ok. what to do?

have an 8g ipod touch which has had problems trying to play games and downloading update 4.2.1. went to the apple store who kindly downloaded the software update but now can't synch and generates multiple error messages; device times out, internal device error, network times out, duplicate file and too many files open etc etc. have latest i tunes download and diagnostic test ok. what can i do?

Does the ext directory have the php_oci8.dll? In the original steps the PHP dir is renamed. In the given php.in the extension_dir looks like it has been updated correctly. Since PHP distributes php_oci8.dll by default I reckon there would be a very good chance that the problem was somewhere else. Since this is an old thread I don't think we'll get much value from speculation.

  • Apps team uploading 114505 kbof text file, too many archives getting

the upload is going on ,too many are getting generated in archivelog location
    i have increased 200gb to 900gb
please let me know how to know for 14505 kb of dataupload how many archives gettting generated
can we estimate before dataupload how many archives can generate
    can you please explain clearly
    thanks

    Hi,
There is no specific method to calculate the number of archived log files to be generated for the particular load.
But, we may do some rough calculation by looking at the rate of archived log generation.
    Check the following things,
    1) How frequently the logs are getting generated and the size of the files.
    2) How many data has been loaded so far.
Based on the above input, you may get some idea on number of ARCHIVED LOG files to be generated during the rest of the data load.
Also, you may do the following to avoid keep adding space to archive destination.
    1) Wite a UNIX shell script to BACKUP the ARCHIVED LOG FILES and DELETE the files once backuped up; which should run for every 10 minutes.
    Thanks.

  • Custom Office 2007 Doc Service Errors: Too many, ignored; Filtering Failed

    Hi...
We are running SES 10.1.8.4 with the MS Office 2007 workaround outlined at: http://blogs.oracle.com/searchtech/
While indexing production files, a number of the following errors were logged (cleansed to hide actual paths, files names, servers, etc.):
ERROR crawler_5 1114 files inside zip file, Too many, ignored: /.../46629_bin
ERROR crawler_5 EQG-30123: Filtering failed for "http://someserver/somefile.docx&lang=en"; trace information:
1114 files inside zip file, Too many, ignored: /.../46629_bin
It appears like all these errors are for docx files. This could just be a coincidence. We have very limited access to the files themselves due to confidentiality.
In reading the README file for the MS Office 2007 document service, ZIP is one of the required document types for this workaround. Specifically,
the OfficeX files are XML packaged in zip format, so you must tell SES to index zip files
Is the custom MS Office 2007 document service not able to index certain docx files?
Are these files too large and/or complex for indexing?
    Any guidance is appreciated.
    Thanks!

More information. All the documents that throw this error are between 9.5 - 13.5 MB in size.

I'm having a huge issue with itunes locating my missing files..and it's too many for me to locate 1 by 1..It says I'm missing over 3,000 songs and They are all in my music folder..What can I do to fix this issue? I've looked at all the tutorials on youtube and none of it works. I recently got a new computer and I Back-Up all my music and itunes playlist and I import it on my new computer with the new itunes and I go to play a few songs, it says I'm missing them I locate a few but it's still like 3,000 missing and again they are all on the computer and in one folder..Please Help !

I did that and nothing changed half my songs still have examination marks beside them

  • I can't save files anymore after upgrading to iOS8. Do I have too many on my iPad?

I'm a heavy Photoshop Touch user, with the last version of the app and iOS 8 on an iPad Air, and lately I often can't save the files I've been working on: the app suddenly quits as soon as I try to save the often multilayered image, but also lighter photographs. If I restart the app, it doesn't help.
I have a lot of files in my PS Touch library. I don't know how many exactly, or how much the whole library weighs. I have plenty of space available on the iPad (42 GB free) however, so that's not the issue. I've been uploading files to the Creative Cloud lately, and deleting them afterwards from the PS Touch library on the iPad, but there are still hundreds of files in that library which were not uploaded to CC because I didn't yet have access, and which I therefore can't delete yet to make room.
Attempts to automatically sync all files to CC have failed. The app unexpectedly quits.
Uploads to CC of the files is possible in small groups —but extremely tedious, impossible in fact as there are too many files. I can't even scroll down the library very far without provoking a freeze of the app.
Furthermore, it doesn't look like I can extract the files through iTunes. I can't see the library of documents contained in PS Touch on iTunes. I subscribe to the Creative Suite on Creative Cloud, but that's of no help, I imagine. Except that I'd perhaps be able to open all the PSDX files in Photoshop cc if I was able to retrieve them.
Question: Assuming there is a memory problem, is there any way of extracting a large number of PS Touch files from the iPad to make room and clean the app up, so that I can work with it again?
Any other idea so that I don't lose all this work?
    Message was edited by: ibarrien

    Hi Ignacio,
There were 1271 files in my PS Touch library. They were most often multilayered. I copied them to iTunes in batches of 20-50, then saved them to my Mac.
I initially tried quitting all other apps to liberate some RAM, but that didn't help. It must be a memory problem within the PS Touch app itself.

I too am getting this error in Premiere CS5.  I was digitizing a Broadcast VHS and since I did not have a breakout box, I hooked it up to a Sony DV deck so I could connect via firewire and capture inside Premiere.  I was able to capture and import 1 of the 3 clips and it did have 4 audio channels attached to it.  However, upon closer inspection only 2 channels had a waveform.  I captured the other 2 clips the same way, but this time, Premiere give the error "The file contains too many audio channels."
    Any ideas?

I have a question about extracting pages.  When I do the function, adobe saves the individual files as "<file name><space><page number>", so the files look like this "filename 1.pdf", "filename 2.pdf", "filename 3.pdf".  Without too many gory details, I am using excel to concatenate some data to dynamically build a hyperlink to these extraced files.  It casues me problems, however, for the space to be the the file name.  Is there any way to change the default behavoir of this function to perhaps use a dash or underscore instead of a space?

No, you can't change the default naming scheme. You can do it yourself if you extract the pages using a script instead of using the built-in command.

  • Consistenly "too many arguments" when OCR any scanned PDF file in Adobe Acrobat 9.2

    Hi,
plz see attached file for a 2 page sample. I have purchased AA9 to get better OCR (clearscan). Before, we were using AA6, which sometimes crashed, but not consistently.
However, AA9 (9.2.0) now always crashes with the same error "too many arguments" after finishing of the OCR. All pages turn completely white. Saving them causes the contents to be gone permanently and even happened with batch OCR.
OCRing on http://www.cvisiontech.com/online-conversion/general/main.html works fine, but that product we have not yet purchased.
Does anyone have an idea what might cause this and how to resolve it?
The PDF-s have been generated by HP Digital Sender and Canon scanner/printer MF9170. Both types of scans give the same result.
    Regards,
    Guido

There is no virus protection or spy protection on this PC. It runs the following:
    Windows Server 2003 x64 SP2
The file gives the error both on my local disk and on my (Samba) network disk.
As far as tested all scans give the same error at the end of the scanning process. Might it be related to x64 handling from a x32 program?

  • Photoshop CS6 error "could not complete ... too many files open. Try closing........." with 3D psd?

Im working in a .psd file with multiple 3D layers. The file size totals at 356mb.
When opening the file, I get this error: "could not complete your request because there are too many files open. Try closing some windows and try again." This doesn't any sense to me, as I was not experiencing any chugging when the file was open, and I am on a relatively fast system.
    Win 7 64bit
    Intel i7-2760QM @ 2.4GHz (8 CPU)
    16 gigs ram
    Nvidia GTX 560M (2752mb)

Having the same issue on the Mac!
Worked on a file yesterday, fairly big, but nothing that I haven't handled before... Only difference was the 3DS file I imported has over 270 textures.
I think there is a limit on how many textures can be imported, essentially corrupting the file on save. It would be a lot more helpful to have Photoshop warn us that the 3D model is too complicated before we import it and save our work looking forward to finishing off the next day.
I tried the same model again today, did nothing other than position it and render it, then saved, same error on opeing: "Could not complete your request because there are too many files open. Try closing some windows and try again."
If anyone at Adobe would like to have a look ta the file the smaller version that I did today I can upload somewhere or send a YouSendIt.
    Cheers.

Put only files which needs to be 'shared' ( e.g persistent store files for jms, jta transaction store etc) on the network drive .. put all other files including logs on the local disk.. see if that makes a difference..
