I mistakenly uninstalled elmements 10 on imac osx.  How to recover?

Welcome to the forum.
Do you still have the downloaded files?
Did you buy from the Adobe Store? If so, they should have a record, and also the link for download, if you did not backup those files. Remember, there are two - the program, and the Additional Functional Content, which can ONLY be installed after you have installed the program.
Good luck,

    you can download it here:

How do I stop Organiser moving between thumbs when I swipe the mouse with my finger? I've switched this off in Mac OSX system preferences. How do I switch it off in Organiser?

There isn't any mouse related preferences in Organizer. Please make sure that 'Move content in direction of finger movement when scrolling or navigating' option is unchecked.

  • Photoshop elements 11 for mac osx

Did purchase ph. el. 11 via Amazon.com; 1st install did not work; failed to intialize when installing; called customer service and got connected with India and they tried to help but not very well; my suggestion "we" try to install a fresh copy from adobe and "we" did; to no avail, the download seems to be fine but when half trough the install intialization it stops and recommends to install the Adobe Advisor and I did; in running the advisor it does not recognaize the files I downloaded and thus can not trouble shoot the problem.  I am now at the point of trowing this software out the window and ask for a refund.  PLEASE HELP!!!!

Ulfkdn are you receiving any specific error messages?  You can check your installation logs for error by following the steps listed at Troubleshoot install using logs | Element - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-install-using-logs-elements.html.
You may also want to review the steps listed in Troubleshoot installation | Photoshop Elements | Mac OS - http://helpx.adobe.com/photoshop-elements/kb/troubleshoot-installation-photoshop-elements- mac.html.  I would recommend first looking in your installation logs for an applicable error first as it may allow you to determine the exact error, and subsequent failure, which is preventing the installation process from completing.

  • Photoshop Elements 8 with Mac OSX Lion

Photoshop Elements 8 quits after I click on the 'HELP' menu option, or if I request further help from a popup menu. I recently updated my imac to OSX Lion.

Yes, what Brett N said. Go to your username>library>preferences and delete:
    com.adobe.Photoshop.Elements.plist
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 settings
    Adobe Photoshop Elements 8 paths
    Opera preferences
and also any lockfiles with the same names. Also repair permissions before launching PSE again
In lion that library is hidden. To see it, in the finder, click the Go menu and hold down the option key. It will appear below the little house for your user account.

  • Adobe Elements 11 on Mac OSX 10.9 has crashed. What should I do?

I opened Elements 11 today and tried to open a photo from my file, and instead of opening it stops responding, I even have to force quit because all options are greyed out.
This has never happened before. What should I do?

This is the fix, I spoke to Apple re Mavericks and Adobe re PSE 11 and their is a known glitch and they are WORKING on it, so this helped me and it is so simple but annoying because it took hours on the phone to get to this. Good Luck!
    Open a Finder window.
From the View menu, select as Icons, as List, or as Columns.
Note: You can also use the keyboard shortcuts CMD+1, CMD+2, and CMD+3, respectively, in the Adobe application without using Finder.
Return to the Adobe application and use the Open or Save dialog box.
    To the top
    Additional information
The Open and Save dialog boxes of Adobe applications use Mac Finder to navigate through your file system. There are four views for displaying folder contents: icons, list, columns, and covers. As of the release of Mac OS 10.9, the Cover Flow view does not work with the Open and Save dialog boxes in Adobe applications. Adobe is working with Apple to have this issue fixed.

  • Trying to reinstall photoshop elements 8 on mac osx

I keep receiving a message when trying to open my Photoshop Elements 8.0 on a new Mac OS X computer. It says "Some of the application components are missing from the  Application directory, Please reinstall the application." I have tried a reinstall from the applications folder on the computer, but it gives me the "You can't open the application "Adobe Photoshop Elements" because it may be damaged or incomplete. I have also tried downloading the product from the website but it says it is not available.  Any help is appreciated!

    Hi Tarun,
Please try the following link to download the product again. Please note that you are trying to install a very old product on MAC OS X, its a possibility that it might not work depending on the OS version that you have.
    Download Photoshop Elements products | 9, 8, 7

  • Elements 9 and Mac OSX Lion

I just d'loaded Photoshop Elements 9 on a Mac running Lion. The software crashes upon startup. One help file states that the Java runtime environment must be installed and I've confirmed it is.
Anyone else having this problem and figure out a fix?
Software is totally unusable at this moment.

I d'loaded from the Mac App store and not expecting much help from Adobe on this I did some more thorough examination myself using the Console and crash reporter and now I've managed to fix the problem.
    Crash reporter listed the following;
    Library not loaded: /System/Library/Frameworks/TWAIN.framework/Versions/A/TWAIN
Referenced from: /Applications/Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Editor.app/Contents/MacOS/Adobe Photoshop Elements 9 Editor
      Reason: image not found
Not sure why the TWAIN driver wasn't there other than possibly it was removed with the recent install of a new Epson printer so I looked back through my Time Machine backup and found and restored it.
Elements 9 now launches. Haven't had enough time to try and make sure it's working properly but no reason to expect otherwise.
If nothing else, maybe my experience will help some other Mac user.

  • Uninstall and reinstall in Mac OSX 10.9.3 Mavericks

I have to uninstall everything in the Creative Suite 6 Design and web Premium.
This is because after a system reinstall in the Mac, I can't open the programmes. Everything was draged by hand - no migration, to avoid reinstalling a problem.
So I want to know how to reinstall everthing. And resinstall it. I hope I don't have to do it one by one.
    Thanks.

  • Please provide a download link for elements 8 for mac osx 10.4

Please post a download link for photoshop elements 8.  We have the media on DVD, and the license, but are unable to access the DVD and would like to download it, and then register our license. Thanks.

I am not sure about whether you can download the 8 version from any of the Adobe sites. I'd suggest contacting customer support. (http://www.adobe.com/aboutadobe/contact.html). You can call customer support or wait for the chat window to appear using which you can resolve your problem.

  • How do I uninstall Photoshop CS2 on Mac OSX 6.4.11

I am getting the error "Could not complete your request because of a program error" on starting CS2 or on doing any operations.
I have tried simply trashing the CS2 folder and reinstalling. Get same error.
Need to uninstall other parts. How do I do that???
    I cannot locate an uninstaller
    What need to be trashed?

At least since CS3, for sure, there's an uninstaller for Photoshop that gets installed in ./Applications/Utilities/Adobe Installers/ when you install Photoshop.  Can't remember whether there was one for CS2 already or not.
Re-installing without first trashing Photoshop preferences is futile, as you end up right back where you started.  To re-create the preferences files for Photoshop, start the application while holding down Command+Option+Shift. Then, click Yes to the message, "Delete the Adobe Photoshop Settings file?"; or remove the files manually.  This tech note describes the location of Photoshop preferences files in CS4; I can't immediately locate a similar note for CS2.
You should also Repair Permissions with Apple's Disk Utility before and after every installation, re-install, update or upgrade of any application or the OS.

Yes it the DW063 and DF037 errors are both indicating the installer is having problems modifying Library/Application Support/Adobe.  Please try adjusting the permissions for this directory and apply the change to all enclosed items.
