I movie 09 prob

i just installed i life 09, when i run i movie nothing shows up in the box thats supposed to show your movie on the upper right corner i can hear it all but no video, any help thanks,

i dont know what happen but it works now, i just deleted import then reimport same footage now it works no restart or anything,

QUICKTIME MOVIE PROBS

Dear All,
I'm trying to put a couple of Quicktime Movies on my iPod but it's not happy.
I have applied the 'convert file for iPod' instruction in the memory but it just says my iPod isn't able to play the movie.
It's a 30GB one that's a year old, so it can play movies.
I have done this before and the only difference I can think of is that before the Movies were originally exported from iMovie, this time They're exported from Final Cut Pro (But should still be self contained) and hence have a different icon.
They drag and copy into iTunes OK, but not into the iPod.

Saving a slideshow with themes to quicktime movie, probs

Not sure what im doing wrong here. Ive made an album of 60 photos. Ive set up slideshow with music (set to fit slideshow to music,snapshot theme). When i play it it works perfect. If i then go to export to quicktime it asks "display image for ? seconds" well i have it set already so that its supposed to fit slideshow to music. if i export it,the movie just shows the full screen photos without the snapshot theme. Any ideas? thanks in advance.

Changing .avi to .mov prob

So, am using latest QT pro, I’ve exportd a .avi file 640 x 480 taken on my camera to .mov using the default setting on quick time pro. it turned a 58mb file into 64kbps! It's turned the file into nothing. This proves something is well weird with my set up or i'm doing something wrong. help.

previously i had just been exporting the .avi into QT Pro and trying compress.
so this time i took your advice and saved as self contained first which turned the file into .mov. it played fine in QT just like the .avi did.
so then i tried exporting the .mov at 24fps (the original file was at 30 frames ps), deinterlaced, 640x480 (the original file was this size too), restricted to 2000 bits/ps as per squidoo/youtube right advice.
everything looked great as it exported. it finished and then gave me an error "error - 36: an I/O error occurred". nothing was saved.
thoughts?

USB input, recording audio into Quicktime (snow lep) becomes a .Mov prob..

I am using a USB interface that (similar to iMIC) input and the sound comes in fine, records fine, plays in itunes (drag and drop into it)... but it will NOT play on iphone!
How do I change the ".mov" format of quicktime to be whatever the ipod likes?
I am clicking "record new audio" in the file dropdown of QT, but it automatically does it as a .mov anyway.

You need to convert the video to a format that the iPhone understands. Here is an Apple tutorial on how to covert a video for the iPod. Instead of picking the iPod format from the drop down menu you pick the iPhone.
This only works if you brought Quicktime Pro. You can Buy Quicktime Pro From the Apple store. If you do decide to buy Quicktime Pro you need to also have Quicktime 7 installed. If you don't have Quicktime 7 already installed in your Utilities folder here is how you can install it:

At this time there is no Quicktime Pro for Quicktime X, only for Quicktime 7.
(Open up iTunes and look under the Advance tab and see if there is a conversion for the iPhone. If so, you can also convert videos using iTunes. You might need Quicktime Pro to be able to do the conversion in iTunes.)

COMPRESSING A QUICKTIME FILE?

how do u compress a quicktime file without shortening tha video, i wanna post a video on myspace/youtube but file is like 23 secs too long, and was wondering if it was at all possible to compress tha video. seeing as youtube has vids up to 10 mins, mine is 5 min 23 secs, yet is too large to upload

Can't send files via bluetooth

Hi,
I have a mac book pro with a Sony Ericson T610 connected via bluetooth.
When I try to launch the 'send a file...' in the BT menu it opens a application during half a minute then shutdowns it.
So no app to send file from my mac to my mobile.
note: I have the same kind of problem when I want to add a printer to my system. The app launch then shutdowns directly.
Any idea?

5GB is typically not enough space to download a movie. Often, movies take from 3 - 5 GB to begin with. The only option you have is to delete more things from your iPad. You can remove unused Apps, pictures, music, text message (messages with pictures can take up a lot of space), email messages, books, magazines etc.

Itunes 7.02 Upgrade Prob. Doesnt Play or Move Progression Ba

Had old version of itunes and it worked like a charm. Now this thing recognizes my old libraries but it will not play anything it recognizes. The player just stays at 0 seconds and the progression bar doesnt move. Any ideas?

hmmmm. those symptoms (in earlier versions of itunes) were often caused by a subtly damaged QuickTime. (itunes uses QuickTime for audio and video playback.)
so let's first try swapping out your Quicktime.
head into your Add/Remove programs. uninstall QuickTime.
Next, we’ll manually remove leftover program files and folders.
1. On the Start menu, click My Computer (or double-click My Computer on the Desktop).
2. In My Computer, open Local Disk.
3. Open Program Files.
4. Right-click on the QuickTime folder and click Delete from the shortcut menu.
5. Navigate to C:\Windows\system32\.
6. Remove the files QuickTime.qts and QuicktimeVR.qtx.
7. Restart your computer.
next, we'll get a fresh copy of QuickTime into your PC by doing a repair install of itunes.
switch off antivirus and antispyware applications prior to the repair install.
go into Add/Remove and select itunes. click "Change" and then click "Repair".
if the repair install goes through okay, restart the PC and try launching itunes again. does it play properly now?

Movie playback prob on ipod

I have a 5g 60GB ipod. When trying to play a movie from itunes, it will freeze at a point in the movie - either temporarily, i.e. it will start again at that same point, or will restart the movie. The ipod works fine for TV shows, music, etc. this only seems to happen when watching a movie.
I have done the soft reset ofthe ipod, but have not yet completely wiped and reloaded the ipod.
Any ideas other than that?

These are movies purchased from the iTunes store? If so, it's possible you may have a corrupted download. You can contact the customer support by clicking on 'help' in iTunes.

2 probs. No controls available 4 Keynote exported mov files, can't combine

I have 2 problems. I created several .mov files using Keynote 08 via the export function in Keynote. I am able to open and play these files in QT Pro however I cannot view the control bar with the Play, FF, RW, etc buttons that you get when you click on File>New Player. Does it have anything to do with the fact that the mov files were created in Keynote? I cannot imagine that this would be the problem.
The other problem is that the only reason I have multiple mov files that were created in Keynote was due to the fact that it was the only way I could get the audio to be in sync with my slides, and this was the suggestion of Apple Tech Support. So, I created 8 different Key files, exported them all to mov files and now want to combine them using QT Pro (or I would use iMovie if it would let me).
Can anyone help me with these issues? Thanks in advance.

I am trying to use the controls in Quicktime that you are telling me are disabled since I exported from Keynote. Perhaps if I explain the motivation, you may be able to better understand what I am trying to accomplish. I have 8 mov files I created in Keynote. The reason I spit them to 8 was based on a recommendation from an Apple Tech Support guy. My audio was not syncing up with my slides and he explained that it was due to system resources not being sufficient (RAM) and that by splitting them, I could export them to Quicktime and put them back together in Quicktime. So, I am trying to put them together into 1 file that I can make into a podcast. So, when I tried to merge them together in Quicktime, since I had no controls, I couldn't figure out how to place the 8 mov files in the correct order.
Hopefully this will make some sense to you and you will be able to offer some advice.

Export QuickTime Prob from Flash - Junk displayed in .mov

I'm trying to export a Flash movie as a .mov file. The animation is not that big but there are strange display issues. As the character moves across the screen, there are bits and pieces left on the screen from the previous movements. It's just not rendering correctly and looks terrible. I can't seem to fix it and have been playing with the Format settings etc. It doesn't help. There's always the junk left on the screen. Any ideas? I am using CS4 on Mac OS 10.6.7

Avi plays in Windows Live Movie Maker but probs in Quicktime and Premiere Pro

Hello,
I'm completely new to Premiere Pro and am trying to edit a recording of a webinar for work. I have it in both .avi and .wmv formats but can't import either into Adobe Premiere Pro CS6 or CS5.5. They both play in Windows Media Centre, Windows Live Movie Maker and Windows Media Player, but the audio is corrupted and no images appear when I play in Quicktime with the avi and when I try to play the wmv in Quicktime it says the file is not in a format that Quicktime understands. When I try to import either into Premiere Pro I get the error message "Unsupport format or Damaged File". I've used Gspot to determine that the codecs I need are installed and am at a loss in terms of what to do next. I've spent literally hours on this and would dearly love some help. Can anybody shed light on my problem? With many thanks in advance. Shan

Probs w/.mov files

I recently upgraded to fcp7 and now I have a couple of .mov file problems. I shoot native .mov with a JVC GY-HM100U camera.
1. I Exported a sequence as a QT movie from fcp. It plays on QT player, but when I try to copy it to a flash drive I get a general error. There's room and the flash drive, and the drive has accepted other .mov files.
2. Another compatibility issue. Exported a sequence as a QT movie. Plays on my machine, and a couple of others. But some macs won't play it. These are machines that always played .mov files created and exported in fcp 5.
I tried exporting with existing settings, exporting with hdv settings. I exported directly from fcp, and also ran it through compressor. I'm guessing this is a setting issue of some sort, but I haven't a clue.

What codec did you use for the .mov file?
And what codec did you use when you exported the sequence as a "QT movie?"
And do you understand the .mov or QT are just containers that hold various codecs?
Not all Macs or PCs can play movie files if the wrong codec is used to export the file.
Do a google search of "what is a codec" to understand why it is important to tell us which codec you used.
