You need an external hard disk to do this.
(No I don't think USB-memory will do)
• Should be a FireWire one (as USB/USB2 performs badly to me)
• MUST BE - Mac OS Extended formatted - UNIX/DOS/FAT32/Mac OS Exchange will not work for VIDEO
All moving of Projects and Events - MUST be done Within iMovie application - NOT on DeskTop/Finder (else a great risk that iMovie loses track of them and You get a project that do not work OK)
• In iMovie Project window - Move over Project over to the New External Hard Disk - And it will ask if You want a Copy (I would)
• If Event's is not moved - Then in Events window - move the needed ones over too
Now - If You used Photos and Audio from iPhoto or iTunes or from folder on Mac - then copy this over too. So that You've got all needed material copied to tne new ext. HD.
Then connect it to Your other Mac and move things wher You want them to be.

Hi, I want to thank you for all your information regarding my questions about sending more than one photo to Facebook. I did have to stop in at Verizon (where I bought my iPhone) to find out why I did not have a choice to choose Facebook with the export icon. The tech had to go into my setting and enable Facebook to recognize my iPhone. When I upgraded to iso7 somehow it could not recognize Facebook. Once he did this for me I was able to follow your advice and your answer solved my question. Thank you

Exported QT movie blocks on one picture

After exporting my latest FCE sequence to a QT movie, as many times before, I found this: after showing a few minutes of movie the video blocks on one picture (an imported still image) while the audio goes on as expected. The rest of the movie just shows that picture.... The other sequence of the project, which is much the same (also with many imported still images) exports as normal.
I replaced the picture, rendered everything several times, tried to export it with and without markers, but it shows the same effect everytime.
Anyone had this before and knows what I could do?

Not sure if Ihave enough information to comment on this, but I have had a similar situation happen in the past. While I'm not sure your problem is the same one I experienced when using multiple stills, I was able to fix my issue through a few different processes. First I color corrrected all the stills, since the white levels were pretty hot. If you've never done this before then just do it the easy way. Select all your stills in the timeline and go to the Efffects menu. Select Video filters/collor correction/Broadcast Safe. This will bring all your white levels down to 90%.
Then select your entire timeline in your sequence go to the Effects menu select video filters/video/De-interlace.
Now try to export your QT movie and see if that doesn't do the trick. If your problem is the same as mine then this should work. If it's not the same issue then sorry for wasting your time.

Anybody find cause/fix for movies that play one day and not another?

I have a lot of movies. I find that at times I go back to watch a movie I have watched before and it errors saying cannot play movie, unrecognized format. Though I have watched it before on the AppleTV without issue.
I try again maybe a week later and it works. Then later, others won't play.
Very frustrating when I know the movie works as I have watched it before.
So, just curious if anybody else has seen this and knows why or at least a quick fix to get it to work. Rebooting the ATV and/or computer doesn't work.

It happens (when it does, as mentioned, doesn't always have issue) when streaming a movie.
eg: I get new movie. I have sync options to sync 5 most recent unwatched movies and 10 most recent unwatched tv shows and all music.
So new movie is on ATV. I watch. All is good.
When done ATV does it's thing and takes it off and brings over the next most recent to keep my count at 5 local to the ATV.
Later I want to watch again when wife gets home or something. Here is when sometimes I can watch (it streams) and other times (just happening more and more lately) it will say unrecognized format.
Yet if I go pick another movie that I know is not local to the ATV thus will stream, it will work. Just random various movies won't.
If I go to iTunes and mark one that isn't playing as unwatched (and it was more recent than another on the ATV) then it will sync over to the ATV and be local again and play fine again.
Thing is it doesn't happen all the time. Some stuff will stream fine, other times won't. Real pain and has only been getting worse lately.
Guess I know that the error message of "unrecognized format" is just wrong and it that must be some general message because I know it is in right format.

Yes it can be done by outputting each slideshow as separate clips and then bringing the clips together to form a single project for DVD output.

The following distinction is not rigorously made, but "stitching" means joining images edge-to-edge, while "stacking" means combining them one on top of the other.
Common stacking processes are "focus stacking" and "exposure stacking". Focus stacking creates a composite image with more depth of field than you could get with any single exposure. Exposure stacking creates a composite with a greater range of luminance (or much more detail within the luminance range) than any single exposure. What you want to do is widely known, but does not have, afaik, a commonly-used term.
There are many tools to do it. All of them composite images. Aperture is not a compositor. Photoshop, and all programs like it, are built from the ground up as compositors.

My daughter's birthday is coming up, and she wants to be able to play reporter. I found a press pass jpg online, and I want to cut a picture of her and place it over part of the press pass picture.
The 2 main words on the original JPG are white with a black background. They are separated by a white field I'd also like to be able to change that black background ONLY to pink (she's 10 years old).
Can this be done with iPhoto, or will I need another app to do this. If I do, can you also point me to some tutorials for that app?

No, not a job for iPhoto, you'll need an editor for compositing.

Apple doesn't make it easy to do what you want. However, here's how I do it.
Select the photo you want to move and create a new Event for it via the Event ➙ Create Event menu option.
In the Event mode select the new Event with the one picture and drag it onto the Event you want to move the photo to.

I went into your Ames Iowa store today and ended up wasting an hour of my time. I purchased "How To Train Your Dragon" blu-Ray D&D digital exactly as pictured in the ad on page 13 with a list price of $9.99. The AD shows that there should be "up to 7.50 in fandango cash to see dream works home in theaters March 27." I bought the product (again exactly as pictured) and when I opened it up to look for the fandango code, there wasn't one. I bring the product back and the in store customer service rep (who was very nice) dialed the corporate customer service for me so I could speak with them and try to get the code. At some point the corporate customer service rep asked to speak to the in-store rep. After the in-store rep is transferred 3 times and has to explain everything agin 3 times she was hung up on or got disconnected. I ended up having to return the disc and the associate said she would look into it for me. I also checked the shelves for all the other movies in that special box and found they matched picture for picture what the ad showed, and did not show any fandango information on the outside of the box.
When I got home I checked the Internet to see if I could just buy it from the online store and low and behold it shows the version with the fandango cash to be 19.99 and is no way in shape or form the product that is pictured. I also saw no little numbers marking a fine print saying that the blu-Ray with fandango was not as pictured or would be a different product. I recieved an email back from the customer associate who was helping me saying she was having trouble getting a straight answer, but bassically said that stores can be affected by inventory levels and some items may not be available at some stores."
While I am pleased that she tried to figure it out, I still feel like there was deception on the part of Best Buy. The ad deceives by showing that can I buy a product as pictured (namely the Blu Ray purchased) and receive the offer, yet the product with the offer is not the one pictured, and further more there is no small print or other saying this. Even the employees at the customer service desk were perturbed as they couldn't understand why the AD would do this and the amount of extra headache they will probably encounter from other customers misleadingly buying one of the offered Blu-Rays and wondering how to get the promotion. This almost seems like a classic case of Bait and Switch.

I just watched How to Train Your Dragon 2 last week with my younger siblings. While I’ll admit I would have watched it with or without them, most of my attention was on the poor sheep or Toothless himself. I’m slightly obsessed now, and I’m determined to get my hands on my very own Nightfury (don’t logically tell me they don’t exist… I won’t listen ).
For me, Toothless is incentive enough to buy this movie, but it would be incredibly disappointing if I didn’t receive the Fandango credit advertised in our weekly ad, especially if our phone agents and store associates weren’t able to provide you a reason as to why. We should be making every effort possible to find you answers, and I’m sorry if we failed you in that respect.
From my understanding, the Fandango promotion isn’t one we are regulating or offering, but rather promoting, so we would typically refer you to them for assistance. This could be problematic if you didn’t receive the code in the first place though, as the codes are usually provided inside the packing of the DVD/Blu-Ray. Wich version of iPhoto do you have? You need iPhoto '09 or '11 to order prints.
Make an album of all photos you want to order in the same order.
Then select all photos at once, when you use Share > order prints.
You should see a panel like this, where you can mark the quantities. The screenshot is from iPhoto 9.6:
