Hi everyone... I'm almost a week into ownersip of my first bb and I have managed to befuddle myself. My faves are gone from te ome screen. They used to be there and I remember an option to hide them but can't find it now. I tink it happened wen I swapped out my memory card. Save my day?? Thanks!

are you sure you are still on a fav plan?? i cant tell u the countless times i have people coming into the store sayin they missing their myfav to find out they no longer on a fav plan because they changed it... IF you are certain you still on a fav plan then ...
Did you just get the phone or restored it or wiped it ? If you did any of the above u can either (1) call customer care so they can restart the fave software remotely (2) login to the tmobile website and go to manage fave option (3) go into a retail store and have the rep restart the software (depends on the rep u meet some may login your account thru cam and do it for u other may put u on the phone with care)
IF neither helps u may have it hidden... click on any icon (not folder) with the menu key (bb logo key) and see if u have the "show all" option if its not check marked click on it everything thats hidden will appear.. if thats not there then theres nothing hidden there.. so u would have to go into all folders and click on any icon (not folder) with the menu key (bb logo key) and see if u have the "show all" option if its not check marked click on it everything thats hidden will appear until u find your fav

Ok, like my subject says, "I must be stupid." I am fairly new at Java,
about 1 year to be approximate, but I have never done any type of
graphical application. I have done a few graphical applets, but I seem
to be having a lot of trouble with this. Here is what I want, I want
a window (frame) to open which has a menu bar at the top. The problem I
seem to have with this should be a simple answer. I want the color of
the menu bar to be the same color as all other menu bars that the user
uses (i.e. Internet Explorer or Netscape Navigator). I am not sure if
this is possible without making my own menu. If I have to, I will
probably do this. Next, I want to have some buttons and text boxes down
the left side of the window and a canvas to the right. Everything done,
it should look something like this:

I must be stupid... Where have my playlists gone?

Touch 2G... I went to a lot of trouble to create my playlists. They synched okay when loading the Touch. But now, when I touch Playlists, all I see is Genius and On-The-Go. Where is all my music? I can access it through the alphabetical lists of Artists, Songs and Albums, but my Playlists are nowhere.
What am I missing?

Ah! Okay. The Touch must have been recently synched to show the Playlists. That's very different to regular iPods I have owned when the playlist list is always available.
Now I have another problem: it's regarding permanent extreme loudness. That's for another thread I think.

I Must Be Stupid (Ken Burns Effect)

My problem is thus.
Using the Ken Burns effect on a photo which lets say is a full frontal picture of someone standing it zooms in on the mid-section and head is gone. What I want to do is start the effect on the head and zoom out to a full body shot. I say I am stupid because I have read and re-read the help for this topic and I just don't get it having tried anything. Any help in accomplishing this step by step would be apreciated and a place in heaven will be awaiting you. LOL. Kevin

With the KB effect turned on for that photo, set the KB "lever" to start and zoom and adjust the photo to get what you want for the start. Then click the lever to end and reset the photo with the zoom and sliders. That should do it.

TIP: For insurance against the iPhoto database corruption that many users have experienced I recommend making a backup copy of the Library6.iPhoto database file and keep it current. If problems crop up where iPhoto suddenly can't see any photos or thinks there are no photos in the library, replacing the working Library6.iPhoto file with the backup will often get the library back. By keeping it current I mean backup after each import and/or any serious editing or work on books, slideshows, calendars, cards, etc. That insures that if a problem pops up and you do need to replace the database file, you'll retain all those efforts. It doesn't take long to make the backup and it's good insurance.

I cannot reproduce this, Jim. I have tried 10 different items from the TEXTURES tab: Eccentric, Ovals, Watercolor, Future Static, Drafting Back, Burgundy, Heliosphere, and some others. Each and every one renders out as lovely movie.
At the risk of asking the obvious, are you SURE you have the texture above the background or Render Background option properly set?

SOMEONE MUST KNOW about missing MPG2 Playback component!!!

OK! Just a few months ago, i was able to Mpegstreamclip to preview VOB and MPEG2 files... Now, the program says as some have experienced.... Mpeg2 playback component missing....
Mpeg2 playback component supposedly came w/ FCP studio... Now it's missing...
Is this intentional by apple to make us re-buy the component on their site or is this something else?
Any information is greatly appreciated!!

Use a compressed image type like PNG or JPG to save the screenshot and make sure that you do not exceed the maximum file size (1 MB).

Another way would be to copy your music directly from the iPod. There are a number of third party utilities that you can use to retrieve the music files and playlists from your iPod, this is just a selection. Have a look at the web pages and documentation for these, they are generally quite straightforward. I use Senuti but check the others out and choose whichever you are happy with.

"Invalid Binary" error on app. Apple's reason is "Missing 64-bit support" due to changes from Feb 1st 2015

Can anyone help me with an "Invalid Binary" error on my app.
Apple's response is:
Dear developer,
We have discovered one or more issues with your recent submission for "DPS Notes". To process your submission, the following issues must be corrected:
Missing 64-bit support - Beginning on February 1, 2015 new iOS apps submitted to the App Store must include 64-bit support and be built with the iOS 8 SDK. Beginning June 1, 2015 app updates will also need to follow the same requirements. To enable 64-bit in your project, we recommend using the default Xcode build setting of “Standard architectures” to build a single binary with both 32-bit and 64-bit code.
Once these issues have been corrected, use Xcode or Application Loader to upload a new binary to iTunes Connect. Choose the new binary on the app’s Details page in My Apps on iTunes Connect, and click Submit for Review.

Can someone from the Adobe DPS team let me know how I can recreate the .ipa file so that it will meet Apple's requirements.
They seem to have moved the goalposts since I created the original .ipa file in December. I thought I'd submitted it, just went back through iTunes Connect to check info as I hadn't heard anything from them, then hit this brick wall. Any help offered would be much appreciated.

I've Updated App Builder, gone back to the DPS App Builder portal, regenerated new zip and ipa files and downloaded them.
I clicked the Application Loader 3.0 link, downloaded the latest Appication Version, clicked on the "Deliver your App" button, and submitted the newly built App that was built using 32.4.2 version. (All the app icons were listed as "stored on server" so I presume they are all ok). The .zip file appeared to 'deliver' to Apple successfully. I've tried to resubmit it but get ta "Redundant Binary Upload. There already exists a binary upload with build version..." error message, so presume the orginal binary upload was successful. I have no idea how I can get this app from the "prepare for submission", to "in review". The last time I thought I'd submitted this app I got as far as the "waiting for review" status, and no further.
At the moment I don't have a"+" button in the Build section - as mentioned on page 66 of Adobe's Step_by_step_guide_to_dps_se.pdf.
So I can't add the new .zip file to the iTunes Connect > My Apps portal in the Build section of the Versions tab.
I have put a support email into Apple, but don't expect a reply any day soon.
The problem with starting all the way back through the App wizard is that I really want to use all the same App Name, Bundle ID, and details etc.
Do you mean, going back to the Folio Producer Panel, and building a whole new App?
This process certainly isn't for the faint-hearted!

Missed calls - a missed call is shown on the screen when the phone is locked. I slide the icon an the phone calls the back to the missed number. The phone still show a missed no. It should clear the icon since I obviously noted the missed call. Any fixes?

Ok, a wish for the next iOS release, just a small anoying thing.
Scenario:
I have a missed call, the screen is locked. The name of the caller shows up on the screen, I slide the phone icon and phone back.
When I've ended the call there is still a notification of a missed call, i.e. the same missed call that I just called back. To clear the missed call red circle icon on the phone icon (in the unlocked state and the notification on the locked screen) I must open the missed call list. Then it clears.
My wish is that the phone understands that it should clear that missed call after I returned the call since I have obviously noted it.
-> Is this something apple will update or is there a setting that I could change?

You have to return the call via the recent list or tap the red missed call entry in recent list otherwise even a hundred calls won't turn the balloon off.

Solaris 10 x86 - libld.so missing any hints how to get it back?

Howdy. I've installed Solaris 10 on x86 64 bit dual core opteron machine.
I've also installed full Solaris companion DVD with the gcc compilers.
I also got all the patches installed.
OK, I'v downloaded Perl 5.8.8 and attempted to compile, here's a thing. The compiler could not compile since libld.so was missing.
ld: fatal: library -lld: not found
ld: fatal: File processing errors. No output written to try
collect2: ld returned 1 exit status
I can't compile the test program.Though perl configuration told it found shared ld lib.
No -ldld.
Found -lld (shared).
No -lsun.I've lurked around and found libld.so.2 and libld.so.3 located at /lib
However, I did not find libld.so anywhere. I tried creating symbolic link to one of these files found, and then compiling - compilation failed due to linking errors.
It seems there must be a missing libld.so (I think).
So, the question is, where could I get this library from? Does it come with the gcc compiler? (I could run the compiler install again) or does it come separately with the Solaris install CD/DVD ? What's the package name?
Any hints greatly appreciated ;-)

I found that there was a library name /lib/ld.so.1 It appears as though this is missnamed. I created a link
ln -s /lib/ld.so.1 /lib/libld.so.1
Then I created a second link:
ln -s /lib/libld.so.1 /lib/libld.so
Everything now compiles without issue.

So I've just spent 4 hours trying to figure out how you pasted the Mocha shapes into After Effects. It doesn't work for me like it did for you in the vid. One step must have been missed.
Do you highlight the relevant layer in After Effects and simply paste (edit > Paste)? Or do you "Paste mocha mask"? Perhaps you create a duplicate layer first? When do you do the ctrlshiftc precompositing? Before of after you paste?
It looks like you weren't doing things in real time (you had already done the steps) so you must have glossed over something that noobs like me would miss.
I would really appreciate it if someone please tell me the exact steps to paste the Mocha shape data into After Effects? Thanks!!!

I guess there must an entry missing in the j2ee-components-generator.xml file in your j2ee engine.
