I must say Photoshop CC feels light and quick
Compared to cs5 (my last version). A touch lighter and a touch quicker.
I have a few problems such as File > Render Video takes along time to open the dialog box (like 1 minute) but I can live with that for now (by making a cup of tea) and pasting urls into File > Place no longer works (can save the image manually from the net then drag and drop it into photoshop CC.
I have not had time to explore every feature but so far so good.
I know others have problems with text resizing and other issues, im sure Adobe will sort them out fast and soon in the next realease of CC.
just wanted to post this as I think its important people are not put off at least trying Photoshop CC.
I made sure Adobe is aware of the problem with opening files from URLs directly, and I know Chris has known about it for some time.
Like you, I have found the latest version pretty much the most responsive version ever made. I ran some of the common online benchmarks and it knocked of a few percent of the times.
I haven't done much with video, but the last time I tried it with an iPad video that I wanted to downsize, it seemed to come right up.
Nad33m, try out the new upsampling function: Image - Image Size, choose "Preserve Details (enlargement)" Also the Smart Sharpen function has had its engine overhauled and can do surprising things.

Updated to Oct 2014 version of photoshop CC. since that time cannot save ANY work. I can work on files but when I hit 'save as" every time it says "photoshop has quit working and needs to close." Need solution now.

CS6 has stopped working. It give error message saying that Photoshop has unexpectedly quit and will not open at all. The same with Elements 11

Hi beginneradam,
Please Go to the Search on top right of Adobe Website, Type Creative Cloud and click on Download a free trial .
Proceed with the download .
Once it is done the Creative Cloud Desktop App will launch and you need to sign in and after that you can install the trial from the APPS menu on the top of Creative Cloud Desktop App
If still there is a problem please mention the Operating system you are using. May be you can try to check if Creative Cloud Application is installed then uninstall it and try to install again.

I have recently downloaded the new itunes. My computer will open itunes but then a screen pops up that says Itunes has stopped working and must close. This happens every time and i can not by pass it. I am afraid all my music is gone as well. I found on my computer that its an incompatible app. What does that mean exactly? Was itunes installed incorrectly? I have had itunes on my computer before and worked just fine and had no problems. Is it possibly a computer issue or Itunes? Need help thanks
Not completely sure. But if you think it is an iTunes issue...... follow through this: Removing and reinstalling iTunes, QuickTime, and other software components for Windows Vista or Windows 7

Check in the Task Manager (XP: Ctrl+Alt+Del, Vista: Shift+Ctrl+ESC, Processes tab) if there are hanging Firefox processes.
If you see any ''firefox.exe'' processes then click the End button to end those Firefox processes.
You can only start Firefox in [[Safe mode]] or launch the [[Managing profiles|Profile Manager]] is all Firefox processes are ended.

I am trying to use the trial creative cloud software on a PC windows 8.1 - I've downloaded and removed Photoshop CC 2014 two times - every time I open the file it says there is a problem and it shuts down and closes. I can open indesign and maybe other apps but photoshop no. Any ideas?

Soo - as mentioned every time I open photoshop it crashes - it just says there's an error and the program will shut down and if there's a solution windows will notify me. Then nothing...
I've tried to look in photoshop files for the detailed crash report & the system event viewer but cannot find a file with those names. I've also looked in the windows files for files with those names but cannot find them either - so I don't know where to look.
Any guidance would be great. -
I have the latest version of Firefox yet I am still getting an error message that says photoshop is no longer supported on my platfrom and thereofre it's not downloading.
Please give a bit more system details. Which OS and version are you on? Is it 32 bit or 64 bit. Try downloading the Creative Cloud App if not already installed from: https://creative.adobe.com/products/creative-cloud. You can choose to install PS from withing this app and need not rely on web page.

I have a problem with color prints from photoshop elements 12. The pictures are too light and with strange colors. I have a Canon pixma mg615I0 printer and use mac os X yosemite. The pictures are taken with a coanon eos 550d in the color space sRGB. I have followed adobes recommendations and have tried both letting the printer respektive photoshop manage the colors. But nothing works. I see that there are different opinions about which is best to do so I tried both. I have the latest printer driver installed. Can anyone help me with this?Do the following:
Print a test page from the printer. Perhaps the print head needs cleaning via its maintenance facility.
Let the printer manage colors, not PSE
Calibrate the monitor -
I am trying to open a .tiff file in photoshop by using bridge and it opens it as a photo in windows. If I go to file<open it says could not complete request because it is not the right type of document. It is a file from a lesson folder from school. Can anyone help me?

The D810 requires Camera Raw 8.6 or later - the latest version that is compatible with Photoshop Elements 12 is Camera Raw 8.5 as far as I can see.
You need to either buy a new version of Photoshop Elements or use the free Adobe DNG converter.

I have photoshop CS4 with the newest update. I'm a photographer and just purchased the new canon 7d mk II. Today, I shot some photos on raw but am unable to pull them up in photoshop. A window pops up saying "photoshop cannot recognize this type of file. The thumbnails are white with a blue and white CR2 on them. Please help.
Adobe Camera Raw 5.7 is the latest for Photoshop CS4 Adobe - Photoshop : For Windows
The problem is that your new camera is supported by ACR 8.7 and only Photoshop CS6 and up supports this version.
So if you do not want to buy CS6 or subscribe to the $10/month Photography Program, you have to convert the CR2 files to DNG to work on them. Your original CR2s are untouched in the process, you just can't directly edit them in CS4, only the DNGs.
Maybe Canon offers editing software for their CR2s, but CS4 is not going to be updated and there is no way around that.
It's not what you want to hear, but that's the situation so far.
Maybe Elements or Lightroom has updated raw support for your camera, so I encourage you to visit those forums and ask.
