I have HP compaq NC6120 ,can you please tell me how to reset bios pasword.I thry with CMOS battery remove but it didnt help.When i power on my NC6120 i have blue screen which says POWER ON PASWORD. Can ypu help me please.

The password will be stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC battery will not work and as this is a business class machine, there is no 'backdoor' password option. Your best option is to contact HP regarding this.

Envy DV7 7212nr - I need the BIOS backup file.

Hi,
I installed the Lojack software on my laptop and the windows stopped working and started showing a blue screenerror. Because of this my laptop don't work and I can’t restore or reinstall Windows.
My laptop is a Envy DV7 7212nr.
The only solution is to rewrite the BIOS chip. But the BIOS file that HP provides to download can not be written directly to the chip because it is very large and can only be used when the laptop is running normally (this is not my situation).
So I need a BIOS backup's file to get record the BIOS chip. But as I don't have this backup file, I need another laptop like mine to get this BIOS backup file.
So I need someone who has this laptop help me.
Please, if you have the Envy laptop DV7 7212nr and you know make a backup the BIOS, please send this backup file it to me.
If I do not get this BIOS backup file, I will not have to fix my laptop.
Recalling that the file that HP offers for download not work. I need the file obtained by backup BIOS directly of a laptop Envy DV7 7212nr that is running normally.

This is the process to rollback to working version of BIOS.
1-Immediately after powering on hold/tap the Esc key.
2-When the menu appears, tap F2 for System Diagnostics.
3-In the list of items will be BIOS Management.Use the arrow key to move down & highlight it.Press Enter key.
4-You should now have a Rollback BIOS option.Use arrow key again to highlight and press Enter key.

Now I need Original bios (not updates) to boot from USB might work. To whom should I contact for oraiginal bios?

I can imagine that Toshiba service provider in your country can help you with this. They must have access to Toshiba database and also access to all previous BIOS versions.

within couple of days/weeks I am about to buy this MSI gtx770 Ligtning gpu

Will I need any Bios/gpu bios updates to make it work properly? Also, how do I uninstall AMD drivers so they dont go over with nvidia?

No, it should be fine in your current board. Else you can still update when you have the card using the igpu.
To get rid of the AMD drivers remove them insafemode using >>Driver Fusion<< (freeversion is enough). After reboot you can install the nvidia drivers.

Probably not, but you will need to test to find out.
The 7xx and 7xxx + from Nvidia and AMD respectively are the ones that definatly need updates.

I have an MSI NBOX nVidia GeForce FX5900 Ultra. I messed up the BIOS, and need a copy of the Original cuz i accidentally deleted the backup I made. The ony 5900U BIOS files I have found online or some Starforce version. I know that's not what I had before. Anybody know where I can get a copy of the original BIOS for my VGA card? I don't think thats what you have cuz the BIOS still refers to the card as a Starforce, whatever the hell that is. Either way, thx for your help. Need new bios for A8M2N-LA in m7580n

Placed new motherboard in m7580n, board is A8M2N-LA. Installed new memory 2 gig, new hard drive, and new power supply. Worked perfect for three hours and it rebooted to bios check sum error. Searching for cd rom boot drive and then floppy boot drive. Can not get to bios set up and get vgaoem error when try to boot to bart pe cd rom. Need to flash bios from a floppy possibly. Have removed ext. hard drives and all non essential cards. Have tried all of the bios keys and the fan on the processor is going extremely fast.
