I need a device suitable for almost professional photos for property inventories

Bonjour,
I am not the techy kind of person at all and I advice is always the best choise.
What do I need?
Long story short, just so you know my exact situation.
I work in the field of independent third-party property inventory services with one small but reputable Tick Tick Check London inventories company and the essense of my job is to deliver really detailed descriptions of various proeprties.
What I do is All about Details of both the condition of a building and the contents of that building. => I need the right camera.
As a responsible employee I simply have to to buy a device that can make good to awesome photos, which means I could make really good macro photos of furniture, bathrooms, carpets, wooden floors an etc. I used to do it with an Iphone 4 but I'm totally not happy with the overall quality AT ALL. Especially when the light is low.. Some of my friends have recommended me to look for advice and i think Sony is trustworthy.
To summerize:
I need a device that can both fit in a lady's purse, make both macro and overall pictures of furniture and furniture damage for an example and do that in low light conditions. I need to make sure the battery won't deplete fast and the device itself is durable enough to survive an accidental drop.
Do you think a smart phone could do the job or should I think of an separate camera?
I AM willing to spend but I couldn't go Too crazy with it.

From what you are describing i think our new Z3 Compact may be what you need. It has a large 20.7MP Exmor RS image sensor in the camera which is made to take better pictures in low light conditions and it also has a very high ISO value (12800) which helps in low light conditions. The camera has automatic macro mode so when you move close with the camera it will switch to macro automatically.
It's of course hard for me to say for sure if it will meet your needs but i think it will. Perhaps you could contact a dealer to try one?
It also has great battery life. We have measured the battery time to around 2 days with mixed usage (5h of use each day with different activities) and it also includes a STAMINA mode which can increase the battery time even more.
The phone is also waterproof (can be submerged to 1.5m with all flaps closed) and is dustproof. It's however not shock proof so if you drop it i'm afraid there's a risk that it gets damaged. We do not have any model that is shock proof.

Your samples look like incredibility simple images to do. I also suspect little artificial light was added. Possibly just a bounce off the ceiling.
Since you already have a Rebel T3i, I would get the Canon 430 EX, and just one. But be aware it will likely not provide equal coverage for a 10-22mm lens. Ten millimeters is pretty wide even on a T3i. Bouncing off the ceiling will help this.
Some ceilings may not be good for bounce either.
Give it a go and you will learn what works and what not. But the old saying, KISS, applies. You will learn!
Photshop and/or Lightroom are great additions. They both have learning curves and PS a very long learning curve.
Still think your photographer is overpaid?

In photoshop CC 2014 where did the oil paint filter go? it is the filter i need for almost every photo

I cannot find the oil paint filter anymore in the recent version, it is not hidden in the paint galleries. I hope that Adobe did include it otherwise i cant use the updates anymore....

You'll have to use the just-released 3rd party filter.

Need "how to" info to print 1x1 photos for id cards

Hi,
I volunteer to help my team by taking photos of individual players for their league ID cards.
The photos need to be 1 x 1 size so they can be used in the ID cards.
Any feedback would be appreciated and if I could use 1 sheet of photo paper for all 15 players...

Select teh phiotos and crop to 1x1, print them and set printer, paper size and custom print size of 1"x1", if you do not have a page full of photos on the preview click customize and in settings select multiple photos per page which will show them in the preview - click print and make any printer specific selections and print

Best file formats for graphics and photos for iWeb

What is the best format to transfer files from PDF's, JPEGS, Illustrator CS3 & InDesign for best resolution display in iWeb

Welcome to the Apple Discussions. JPEGS should have the sRGB color profile. I don't know of anything special for PDFs. You might compress them to make them load quicker when viewed but those that I've added I've not done anything to them. For Illistrator and InDesign it probably would be best to take screenshots of them and use those. I don't think iWeb can import those formats but since I don't use either I could be mistaken. All graphics in web sites are displayed at 72 dpi so having large graphic files are not needed. Resize to approximately the size you want to display on the web page at 72 dpi and use that.

Can I download Acrobat Professional Trial for Mac?

Is there any way to download the trial for Acrobat Professional for Mac from Adobe or have they not put it up? I've looked all over the site and on download.com and can't find it? We will be looking to buy but need to try it out first to see if it fits our requirements.

Professional photo program that transfers data written on photos to PC

I have a Mac OS X v. 10.5.8 and I am looking for a professional Photo program or application that I can write information or data on photo's or on the side of the photo's and have all of that data transfer onto other programs including PC based programs. I need to be able to share photo's with data written on them with colleagues that run PC.
Please give me some ideas as to what program to use. I already own Iphoto and Aperature and the data does not transfer.

Have you tried after editing the photo, and it is in full view, do a screen shot? The saved screen shot should appear as a new photo.

No photo stream on Photos for Mac?

I upgraded to Photos for Mac and loving the new look. I also have the latest iPad and the iPhone 6 both running iOS 8.3. I loved the photo stream feature when all my photos, or at least the most current, would appear automatically on my 2 other devices. Its still happening for my iPad but not anymore on Photos for Mac. Photo stream option is enabled on all my devices' iCloud settings and on Photos for Mac preferences so not sure what am missing?

Maybe try it this way this is what I did with mine because I did not migrate and didn't know about that either.
and really have the sidebar so because it will help you get the pictures organized
Photos application for Mac Instructions that might help!
On your iPad,iPhone keep the iCloud on in settings for Photos.
if you have not opened the New Photos application yet to have it transfer your photos from iPhoto let it Transfer the Pictures.
once you have all the pictures from iPhoto to Photos then in Photos go to Preferences
there is general and iCloud tab and go to the iCloud and only uncheck the iCloud button that will make it so it doesn't sync with your iPhone and iPad for Photos.
Then in Photos go up to View and press show sidebar because with that view you can move your pictures easier to albums snd delete or move any pictures or make new albums
For Duplicates if you have a big pile in a row and I mean not like every other picture of the same pictures on the keyboard Hold down the shift button. or the other way is to Hold down the Command buttom that is right by the space bar then on the trackpad or mouse click once on the picture you want to delete and do a bunch at a time then on the last picture of that pile either right click the picture and delete or go up to the edit button which is next to file on the top left and click delete in edit.
when you are all done with moving around your pictures or whatever go back to Preferences and turn on iCloud and make sure you have the optimize Mac Storage and then you are done! I hope this makes sense and works for you! here are the 2 pictures I'm talking about in settings.

Hello, can anybody tell me where to find 'Settings' for Slideshows in Photos for Mac? To do things like changing the music, view etc etc as was in iPhoto....

Hi there nursegrl02! We can help here with your questions regarding the upgrade fee and device charge. The upgrade fee is a one time fee that is applied when upgrading with a 2-year contract. If you pre-order with a two-year contract, you would need to add a credit card to your order as you will be charged for the device once it ships out. If you happen to purchase the iPhone with Verizon Edge, there is no upgrade fee. You will also be billed for the device in installments. You may have to pay a down payment with Edge. Did you upgrade with Verizon Edge or our Device payment plan in the past? If so, that is most likely why you were not charged an upgrade fee.

Apple Enterprise Support is aware of this issue. They have specific instructions which attempt to remediate the issue, however, attempting on two different MBP laptops, so far has not succeeded.
The problem to be specific is - hang at login. The Filevaulted user account gets its password entered, then the "progress bar" mid screen will be seen to halt, never resuming. NVRAM resets dont necessarily cure this issue, but turning off FV2 definitely does.
We are seeing this with 10.10.2 fully Apple-SUS updated machines.
Feedback has been sent to Apple over this as well.
Im recommending:
a. turn off FV2 until such time as a Apple provided update cures it
b. consider the Sophos WDE solution if WDE is absolutely required (disclosure: I havent attempted this, not sure about its workability)

Warranty and support is only valid in the country of origin, or in the case of a device purchased in an EU country, only in an EU country.
Unless you will be visiting an Apple store in one of the EU countries before the warranty expires, you are pretty much out of luck.

Trying to configure my printer for NeatWorks... I need the device software to configure the scanner

I have a (CM741A) Officejet 6500 E709n and wanted to use it for my Neat app on my Macbook Pro. Currently using Mavericks OS X 10.9.1
Problem is, I wanted to configure it based on a set of instructions (see link), but I cant seem find the HP Software for my device.

But there isn't really an update process for Lightroom other than to install the newer version. The 5.7.1 update had some bug fixes and support changes for a Sony camera, I believe.
