I need a download for OS 10.10 for my EOS cameras

I uploaded Yosemite OS 10.10 and can't download pix from my 60D or Rebel. I downloaded the Apple update, but still get the message ALERT Cannot be used with this version of the operating system. Is there a fix? It also doesn't not recognize either of my card readers.

I got the solutiion from Canon Customer Serivce, temporary until the 10.10 download is released. It works:

Please select "OS X Mavericks v10.9" using the drop-down menu on the page. You have to pick the previous version of Mac OS, because the options for OS X 10.10 Yosemite have not yet been populated. After selecting OS X 10.9, please click on the red triangle next to the word "Software" to see the software updates available for your computer. I would recommend updating all of your software including EOS Utility and Digital Photo Professional."
I never did find the drop-down menu, but I went into the site map and found what I needed.

I am following the same instructions, and the downloads work for me. However, the first file downloaded is a "_LS1" file, and has no extension. The second file is a .7z archive. The instructions for how to install this download in the "exact instructions" phase says to "run the .EXE file" but there is none.
Also, when I rename the _LS1 file to add the .exe extension, it can be run, and extracts an installer to the desktop. Unfortunately, when I run the setup.exe in this installer, it "gets an error and must quit" and asks that I contact Adobe support. Adobe support sends me here. I paid for this software through so many upgrades, and when time came to upgrade to CS6, they suddenly didn't want my money, so I'm stuck on CS4, which now doesn't work, and Adobe won't talk to me?

Just for future reference, AJA has a free app called "AJA VTR Xchange" that would capture just fine for you. It would probably capture directly from the camera, also.

Together the agent and I discovered that my Toshiba laptop does not have the drivers needed in order for the ipod to be recognized. Without said driver, I won't be able to use my ipod at all. She said that even with the article that Apple Support has about Toshiba laptops and ipod, that there are still kinks in it.
So, my question is this...do any of you people out there who are more computer literate than I am know what I should look for to download? The Apple agent didn't know what specific driver I should look for. If anyone knows, please help!

I had the same suggestion given to me by Apple... I went to my USB card manufacturer website (In my case, VIA Communications) and got some info on their forum.
The most I can understand right now (although I haven't solved my own iPod problem) is that first, you should try updating drivers by right-clicking everything individually in the Device Manager under the "USB" section, and clicking on "Update Driver." Also, make sure you have Windows Service Pack 2, and try updating all of your drivers by going to http://windowsupdate.microsoft.com/ . The Toshiba website might have a driver update or a patch, also... I'd look around, anyway.
I updated my drivers (which didn't work), and then I came across a paragraph on VIA's website that says:
"Through feedback in the forums and hundreds of emails over the years, we know that technical support hot-lines for many peripheral (as in printer/scanner/camera etc) manufacturers, tell their customers to "update the drivers" or "update the controller". ... The controller cannot be updated without updating your motherboard to a motherboard that has a later revision controller. ... This is inbuilt and cannot be updated. The advice you received to update the driver or controller, probably means that they recommend that you update the VIA chipset or platform drivers. ... it may well be that the peripheral USB device you want to install is too new for your motherboard and therefore not compatible."
Basically, this means that if it doesn't work after the driver update, it may not be a driver issue, but a power issue.
I've been told (not by Apple) to try buying an external USB hub that plugs into the wall. I haven't yet, but as soon as I do, I'll post whether or not it works, lol. For other people, an internal USB2.0 PCI card worked, but I'm not sure if laptops work with them...

The Mobilink 2.02.27.22 which is a Telstra version for Windows Xp can and does run fine on Windows 7.

Need extra batteries for Rebel EOS SL1 - suggestions?

I just got a new Rebel EOS SL1 and would like 2 extra batteries. The Canon batteries are so expensive. Does anyone have reommendation? Hate paying for a Canon battery, if a generic 2nd-3rd party battery would do. Yet, are there advantages to only using the expensive Canon Batteries? I did have another brand camera and bought cheap generic batteries off of ebay that worked wonderful. However, with this new Canon Camera, I'm wondering other Canon users experiences with batteris for the Rebel cameras.

Yes... the canon batteries last longer and have more recharge cycles in them. I find that while generic 3rd part batteries cost about 1/3rd the price... I have to replace them three times as often.
As reliability is important to me, I ultimately gave up on third party batteries.

With reference to this article from Apple that lists the models of printer drivers available from Apple for Lion and Snow Leopard, there are a couple of HP Photosmart 55xx printer drivers in the list. So if all was well with your iMac then the driver should be downloaded and installed when you connect to the printer. With this not happening you can try installing this HP Driver update. It contains all the HP models in that driver list - that's why its over 500MB - and it may be just what you need to get this printer connected.

We have a program that uses nidaqex.h and nidaq32.lib.
The program is written in Borland C++ Builder 2006.
Now we need to get the program to work in a newer PC.
The old Borland C++ Builder 2006 refuses to install on the newer PC so we planed to use Embarcadero C++ Builder XE6 instead.
When building the program in XE6 I get 10 linker errors typical: Unresolved External DIG_Out_Prt referenced from" and then my object file that uses the nidaqex.h and nidaq32.lib.
My guess is that I some other lib- and h-files.
The program is a 32-bit and the operating system is Windows 7 64-bit.

nidaqex.h is from the legacy NI-DAQ driver [1] and not the MHDDK. NI does provide an installer for Windows 7 systems [2], but not for 64-bit variants. If you cannot change your OS bitness, then you need to change your driver to NI-DAQmx [3].
