I need a few users of the HP DV6-6153CA To Talk about it

I am looking to bu a laptop sometimes for gaming, sometimes for office work. Not heavy gaming though. Maybe some Battlefield 3. I've had an acer in the past which overheated, so I returned it.

I would like to have owners who have had/has this laptop to tell me a few things about the laptop(does it overheat, how long you used it for, is it as good as new, etc)

iTunes version 10.6.3 was released June 2012 and works with Lepoard OS 10.5.8. If the version of iTunes on your MacBook is older then you could try updating to version 10.6.3.

Is this the yellow tint people are talking about? What would you do?

I searched the forums and saw a lot of posts, but no images of the iPhone 4 screen. I looked online and saw some photos, but mostly they were of splotches, spots, or lines. No "full screen" tinting.
I recently (Sunday at noon) upgraded to an iPhone 4 from my old 3G. Attached are 2 images. Both pictures show my old 3G compared to my new 4. The 4 is visibly yellower.
Is this the tinting people are talking about?
Will this fade over time? How long are we talking?
If it doesn't fade, would you exchange something that looked this minor?
If I exchange, will I get a new phone or a refurbished phone?
I don't want to risk getting a refurb when the phone works well in other regards.

I would say the left is too blue on the cool side where the iPhone 4 is more neutral, putting it beside that blue screen makes it possibly look yellow, try comparing to something white.

Hi Spotify, I think you should seriously consider updating the Advanced Settings section of the Spotify Android app so that a user can make the following granular settings: - Interrupt audio when notifications play (yes/no)- Interrupt audio when other media plays (yes/no) I am modeling this after how the ideas are set up in PowerAmp for android, one of the most popular non-streaming music apps. This would simply require engaging with the AudioFocus() android API object. The advantages for Android users would be huge. Right now, every time I get any kind of notification, my music is completely interrupted for about 750ms. This is really intolerable when getting a lot of notifications - which, of course you know - is sort of the way that all apps do things nowadays. Android market share in the US and around the world has been going up as the cost of iOS devices increases. We're now at about 65% market share, and it's only going to go up. As your competitors spend more time on their Android apps, people are simply going to choose the service with the biggest catalog and the best experience. I think you should really give the Android app more thought overall, but especially this specific change. Yoga 2 Pro vs Yoga 2 13: the differences no one is talking about

I just received a Yoga 2 13, but even if I spent a lot of time evaluating reviews and specs I just realized the chassis is slightly different from the Yoga 2 Pro. This is something was barely talked in reviews (actually not all), and I thought the real difference was in the FHD vs 3200x1800 display. Apparently there's much more.
The First thing I noticed is the different palmrest texture: grippy and almost leather-like on the Pro, and simple matte on the 13. Then I noticed a bit of flex in the base of my unit, and actually a little bend in the upper lid I managed to get straight with a bit of pressure. This is when I noticed the materials: under the same orange finish there's definitely an alloy (magnesium) on the lid, while the base is just plain plastic.
After looking up a bit I found all the answers on two Myfixguide articles. To sum it up:
-Pro has magnesium bottom plate with a reinforced magnesium metal chassis structure (grid-like)
-Non-Pro has a plastic bottom plate and an ordinary plastic frame with very thin alloy reinforcement (typical of non-Ultrabook)
-Pro has two smaller cooling fans, vs the single and bigger (and often noisy) on the non-Pro
-the only storage option in the Pro is a mSATA mount, against the M.2 (SATA) mount plus a new 5mm 2,5" bay (with proprietary connector) on the Yoga 2 13, which is definitely the ultimate explanation for the added thickness
-Pro has different speaker placement with "longer sound tubes", maybe leading to better bass as the website wrote
-Pro has a giant battery taking much of the space inside, 7400mAh vs 4500mAh of the non Pro. Yep, a 2/3 difference leading to the same 9 hours of battery life (on paper).

Talking of (official) numbers:
Pro: 12.99" x 8.66" x 0.61", 3.06 lbs
non-Pro: 13" x 8.71" x 0.68", 3.43 lbs (SSD), 3.65 lbs (SSHD)
Width is clearly the same (12.99" is quite an absurd measurement, what the hell?), with 1.3mm difference in height (really?, could be just an error in measurement) and 1.8mm difference in thickness, which is the thing everyone is going to notice the most.
One thing that seem overlooked (at least to me) is that the Yoga 2 Pro is NOT marked as a Ultrabook. To be precise, the Yoga 2 Pro is a Shark Bay platform Ultrabook. I cannot find the precise specs for the platform, but the non-Pro seems to fit as well considered is less than 20mm thick, has Haswell, SSD, touch, anti-theft and so on. Maybe it's something about validation, or metal in the chassis? Don't know, but I'm curious.
Just to be clear, this doesn't put the non-Pro Yoga 2 13 in a worst position against the Pro. Yes, it feels cheaper in the bottom part and tend to flex, but to me still has a better price-features ratio than the Pro, not to mention the Yoga 3 Pro with Broadwell which is a step in the wrong direction (or at least, a different direction).

I swapped my Yoga 2 13 for a Yoga 2 Pro as there is one more major difference.
The Realtek and Atheros cards are alien in this class of laptops...
The Intel 7260N card is a reasonable alternative, but most people expect dual band for this amount of money.
The Y2P white list in the BIOS allows many more 7260AC cards to solve the wifi problem,
as the white list of the Yoga 2 13 is restricted to only 1 Lenovo specific 7260AC card (20200617).
This is due to the positioning of the antennas, these are closer to the user and SAR regulations enforce Lenovo to reduce the transmission power of the WLAN.
Another thing I really like the fact the Y2P fans are less noisy.
The 3200*1800 resolution in Win8 is a miss, as the scaling fcuks up while using an additional external momitor.
I'm still bound to 1600*900. Let's hope for WinX ..

I clicked where it said to install an updated Firefox, but it is sitting on my Mac's desktop--I don't know how to install it. Also, it said that it was 5.0 (from Yahoo site), not the 3.6 that they talk about here.

Originally, some months ago, I was at my Yahoo e-mail site, and a notice came up suggesting that I update my Firefox. I clicked for them to go ahead and start the process. It didn't install anything, but this *thing* appeared on my (Mac) desktop that said *yahoo_firefox_3.6.8_setup_is.dmg*. I continued to get noticed to upgrade, and I thought by clicking on that button did that.
Tonight, I decided to try again. This time, the same thing happened. It downloaded on my desktop, but didn't install. Now I have two files sitting on my (Mac) desktop. The original that says 3.6.8 and the new one which says the same thing except that it is a 5.0 version. I have a Mac OS X 10.4.11 system.
My questions: How do I install Firefox from my desktop with the file thingy they sent me? and (2) What version do I use?

When I clicked on the second site mentioned, I got such EXPLICIT, step-by-step directions!!! Thank you so much. I'd been wondering what that window was that kept popping up with the Firefox icon and that other funny thing. The word *install* was never mentioned. Pictographs were never my thing.
When I looked under the initial system requirements, it said that OS X 10.4.5 and higher were good for 5.0. I didn't check further. Under your advice, I'll go with the older version. Thank you for taking the time to help me.

If it came with Lion or later pre-installed, then re-download it from your App Store purchases. If your computer came with Snow Leopard or earlier then it is on one of the original discs that came with the computer. If you don't have them you can purchase replacements from Apple:

I have downloaded three "ready-made" websites for me and it is supposed to have Wordpress in as well. I can see the folders in my downloads but I can't open them. It refers to a "zip" file which I don't see nor a "dmg", only a blue folder. Can anyone help me to figure out how to get this open and set up on my computer? I guess you can tell I'm new and very frustrated. Thank you!

It's not clear what you mean by 'see the folders in my downloads but I can't open them', although it seems possible that a zip file opened/unzipped to create them.
Perhaps if you include a screenshot, and/or a link to the site where you got these, and describe exactly what happens when you try to open a folder that won't open.

In needs a password for WHAT network? If you're talking about a WiFi network, you'll have to ask whoever owns the network. We have no way of knowing.

You can download the OA JDeveloper Extension from Metalink (Patch Number 4045639) and install it according to the instructions provided on Metalink note 286082.1. This will install a version of JDeveloper on your machine that already comes with the tutorial mentioned in the Developer Guide, as well as the IDE suited for OA Development.

I have found an exmaple on the web of using javascript (it opens a child window that polls the parent window, and invalidates the session if the parent window is closed). I agree there always appears to be loop holes around most of th e solutions i've come across.
I had the same idea about invalidating any previously known session for the same userid, I'm pretty new to the java/web app world so I'm struggling with finding the information I need. I couldn't find any methods to call to invalidate another session, I only came accross example where the current session invalidated its own session via call to the session object, do you have any idea how I would do that for other sessions.
