That's about as close as I could find.
Can I ask your budget? That's a fairly pricey machine you're looking for.

Help required with Photoshop Elements 4.0 this has been installed on my new Toshiba laptop with windows 8.1 for some 18 months and operating well. Now it will not open, message pops up saying “attempt to access invalid address” then “application not responding” Suggestions how to access would be much appreciated. Tks. Stuart

What is the size of your hard disk?  PSE 4 is a very old program and I suspect it is not able to access the entire hard disk on your machine.  Just a thought here.

  • Need to setup monitoring aon multiple ports for IDS

I have a cisco 3845. I need to need to setup monitoring aon multiple ports for IDS on 2 ports. How do I do this.
    Also,
Is there a way to make ports on the switch portion act like hubs.
    Thanks

I assume that you are referring to the Ethernet Switch Module in the 3845. If so it should support SPAN. Here is a SPAN configurations guide:

  • Can XI /PI be configured with a web proxy for outbound communication.

We have a business to business scenario. There is a firewall and web dispatcher for inbound from the partner.
I want to know if the XI system can be configured with a web proxy for any communication that is outbound from the XI system to the partner (outside the company).
Your help will not only be appreciated, but also be rewarded.
    Thanks.

2 cases for the configuration of HTTP Proxy:
    1) If you use an adapter type running on the ABAP Stack (table PPROXY_C) and the RFC destination SAPHTTPA must to work.
Refere to this: Simple connection to a remote HTTP Server using Port, Server, Username & Pw
    2) If you use adapter running in the Adapter Engine then you have to configure the proxy for the JAVA Stack:

  • I need a calendar with multiple alert times for events; Advice please?

    1. I need to be able to set multiple alert times (e.g. 24 hours before, and 2 hours before)
    2. I need a good clear Month view, with text that can be enlarged (I am disabled)
    3. It needs to sync with standard iCloud calendar data (I use Week Calendar on my iPhone and iPad - great!)
    4. I do not want BusyCal, thanks (the developer point-blank refuses to fix the Alarm window to remember it's width, and refuses point-blank to wrap the alarm title text onto two line when it is long - although they do wrap text in the calendar itself, just not in the alarm window, go figure)

  • Troubles with configuring static port for Certsrv.msc

I am trying to use certsrv.msc to connect from my workstation to the CA for administration purposes.  Workstation is Win7, CA is 2008 R2 Enterprise running Enterprise Subordinate on a dedicated box.
I configured a static DCOM port by following this article, including bouncing the service and also rebooting the CA box:
    http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/1559.how-to-configure-a-static-dcom-port-for-ad-cs.aspx
The static port was opened in the firewall from my workstation to the CA.  We also found that TCP 445 was required, so that has been opened as well, port 135 & other ports normally needed for autoenrollment should be open.  Sniffing the firewall
showed that a random high numbered port that is not the static dcom port is being attempted - this is the only port showing dropped packets & no traffic on the static port.  On the CA I ran netstat & 'netstat -a' and am not seeing the static port
    listed anywhere.
It does not appear to me that the static dcom endpoint is working properly & that it is still randomly assigning ports.  We would greatly prefer to not have the whole range opened for random port assignment.  Any suggestions?  Thanks in
    advance!

    Hi,
Can you tell me which of the Toshiba laptops have the Firewire/iLink port please.
My Toshiba Satellite just crashed and I need a replacement quickly, but need to be able to use my Firebox (http://www.presonus.com/products/detail.aspx?productid=4) with it.
I look forward to hearing from you as soon as possible.
    Solved!

I didn't think Toshiba included those ports currently. Then I noticed this model.

  • There is a lot of talk aout there about using a 27" iMac as a display with the mini displayport to displayport cable. It is so exciting! I am trying to connect a PC laptop with a VGA port to a 27" Dell Latitude D620?

In 2010 there was a question about using a 27" iMac as a display with a Dell laptop.
I am trying to connect a work Dell laptop Running Windows XP via a VGA cable to my personal iMac 27"
    running iMac 27", Mac OS X (10.6)
Has anyone tried this or know if imac 27" Mini port with a VGA adapter can work?
I apologize if I missed this discussion already
    Kind Regards
    Gilly

    Hi Gilly,
I have no proof, but I think it will not work with an adapter, only Mini Display Port or Thunderbolt.

  • Need some help with ip camera port forwarding

Setting up a ip wireless security camera to provide internet access thru a airport extreme router. Using the free ip scanner software provided with the  camera, I can see and connect to the camera on my own home network, wirelessly. I believe that port forwarding will give me access to the camera outside the local network. I'd like to be sure I am setting up the port forwarding correctly. Also if I decide to use back to my Mac in the future will this camera setup interfere with the settings?

OK I figured out how to Port forward and how to do DHCP reservations. Unfortunately the latest 5th Gen Airport extreme software has a bug and neither ip Cam would work. Rolling back the software on the Airport to a previous version finally allowed the DHCP reservations to work. But the port forwarding or something is not working. I can not log on to the ip cams remotely or wirelessly. I may have to borrow a different Wireless router from a IT friend and disconnect the Airport Extreme, to get the cams on wirelessly. Hopefully they fix the problem some day.

  • I need a laptop with these specifications

these are the minimum requirements i need:
around a 14" display with good quality for editing photos
    durable (last for 4 years)
    long battery life (6+hrs)
    4GB RAM
    320GB hard drive
    a DVD/CD drive/burner
intel core i3 processor wiht 2+Ghz
    preferably including sd drive
I've been looking at macs, sonys and lenovas

    Hey Kim,
As far as your question concerning processors, it depends on what you are using your computer for. The Core 2 duo is our previous generation of processors and you would definitely be missing out on some major improvements on our new core processors, i3, i5 and i7. Considering you will be multitasking, and using photo editing software you will want a stronger processor that can handle those tasks. The i3 has 4 way multi-tasking (hyper threading) technology, which allows your computer to work on two tasks at the same time, eliminating the typical lag when running a lot of applications. I would even go further and recommend you look into the i5,  which has Intel Turbo Boost technology, where the processor speeds up if you need more performance/ during heavy usage. Investing in a stronger processor will ensure that you computer is not outdated in 2 years and still able to process emerging technologies and heavy processing usage.
With Mac you are paying a lot for the physical beauty of the machine and user experience, as a result you have to dish out even more for a strong processor. I think the PC is the most economic route, but it really just depends on your personal preference.
    Hope this helps.

  • I am looking for an instrument driver for a Barnant Model 689-0015 Temperature controller with an RS232 port.

    Any help would be appreciated.

I have done an extensive search of my resources and was unable to find any. At this point I doubt if there is one out there. Have you contacted Barnant to see if they have a driver in house that they might give to you?

  • Can I use RS232 library for RS485 communication? Alternatively, can I use NI Serial with non-NI 485 boards?

    Hi-
I have successfully used RS232 library to communicate with one RS485 device.  I now have multiple devices using the same Rx and Tx lines.  Three of the 4 devices have their own dll and can communicate effectively despite each other.  My problem occurs when the one device I am talking to using the RS232 library now has to share the lines with the other devices.  Are there any ways around this? All I can think of is to see if I can use the NI Serial library commands with my non-NI PCIe card.  OR, buy the NI 485/422 card and use the NI Serial commands.  Any other suggestions?
    Thanks.

The fundamanetal difference between RS232 and RS485 is the ability to connect to multoiple devices. The devices also normally work in a "speak only when spoken to" mode and this is achieve by adding a device address in the protocol. The NI serial library is oblivious to most of this and doesn't care if it's RS232 or RS485. The problem with your 232 device is that it will speak everytime when any other device is adddressed, so you should make it comply to 485 standards. This can be done with RS232 to RS485 convertors. You can do a search on Google for this. The ones I use and have the least amount of problems with is either from Advantech (<http://www.advantech.com/products/search.aspx?keyword=RS-232#search> and <http://www.advantech.com/products/search.aspx?keyword=RS-232#search>) or BB Electronics.
