I need a print magnifier app??

I folks
Just got an ipod touch but need some kind of app that will magnify the print on newspaper apps.
Any suggestions?

Can you not just zoom with your fingers?
Also, the zoom feature may help. It is covered in the manual:

App Store Update print too small--magnify app?

With large screen(s) these days, there is no reason for fine print. In Safari, a quick <Command>+ makes the text bigger to read without a magnifying glass. While watching my macbook pro upgrade to OS X 10.10.1 today, I was trying to read What's new in Safari 8.0.2 but the print is so small I had to get my new reading glasses.
Wouldn't it be nice if all programs had the same feature as Safari to enlarge the text and take advantage of the new larger 5k high res screens? Apple Help does.
While we're waiting for all the developers to support readable text, can anyone recommend a magnifier app?
Am I really getting so old I have to go to the Accessibility preferences? Can I get the senior discount? Can I have the Talking Moose read me the text from any app?

I remember the day when the Cray supercomputer had 8 processors!

However this does point to a bug in the app store update feature. There should be some way to force a check of applications that updated but are still showing as needed in the app store.

If I understand this correctly, you wish to print from the iBook under Mac OS 9.2.x and from the MacBook Pro under Mac OS X 10.6.8 (no AppleTalk support in the latter).
What type of printer did you have in mind? Does it have to be colour? Otherwise, a monochrome laser printer may be the best choice (high print quality and a low per page cost). A networkable PostScript printer may be the most compatible. Additional information would make it easier for someone here to suggest a solution.
If you would be willing to accept some extra work and certain limitations, another way could possibly be to "print" to a PDF file on the iBook via a printer driver called PrintToPDF, and then transfer this file to the MacBook Pro and carry out the "real" printing there.

Can I use my IPad to print on my Canon MX860 and do I need to download an App ?

I have a Canon MX860 printer and want to print using my IPad. Do I need to download an App ? AirPrint lists printers which are compatable but the MX860 is not on the list. Will it still work or do I need a different App ? Thanks Sarah

Canon says that your printer is too basic to have AirPrint.

I believe the application is called HP ePrint service. It can be found on the iTunes App Store. Just do a search for ePrint and I am positive you will find the application!

HP Printer Control App installed on my pc windows 8 but wont update in windows store

Ii have downloaded the hp printer control app on my desktop pc which is windows 8, it shows my printer which is the HP Photosmart B110a its product number is CN245B. It keeps saying in my windows store app that it needs to be updated as other apps do but it just says pending constantly and theres no change ive used the app to get software for printer such as certain wizards and such. but it wont update ive got a hp printer control app on my ipod touch too and this also has no trouble picking up the printer and works fine, is it because ive got windows 8? please can someone help as its not right for it just to be there stuck not updating, thanks

A bit of a shot in the dark, but this appears to be an issue with pulling down the update from the Windows Store. I have not run into this issue directly, but this thread has a lot of information.

The one tidbit that might help here from that thread is:
"finally I found a solution. go to troubleshooting (press win+w >then type troubleshooting). now a window opens in desktop. click "fix problems with windows updates". now click next. windows will search for solutions, but it wont find anything. then windows will ask if u want to try in administrator mode. click yes. windows will find and solve the problem. that's it."

Can't be done as an exact copy from one Mac to the other. The operating systems are system specific. First make sure your system doesn't need a firmware update to get 10.2 or later on it. You'll need to install 9 on it if it does, direct from a 9 retail CD that is compatible with it *. This disc can't say Upgrade, Dropin, or OEM. To determine compatibility, identify your G4 tower:

The last Mac OS 9 to come retail is 9.2.1, and that's newer than 9.0.4, 9.0.2, and 9.1.
Your ghost image can be done using cloning software, but then you'll have to use a retail 10.3 installer and 10.3.9 combo update on the G4 tower. Then use the Migration Assistant to import the data from the clone of the iBook. The 10.3 retail disc looks like * and does not say upgrade, dropin, or OEM. The 10.3.9 combo update is here:

I need to print my texts, any idea on how I should proceed?

I know this won't help right now, but for future reference, Verizon Messages will print an entire conversation from a computer with the time stamps intact.
Once the app is loaded on your phone, you can sign into your MyVerizon account on a computer. All of the messages sent/received on the phone will be synced to the computer. There are a FEW exceptions, but for anything you would need to print would be available on the computer. Select the conversation you are interested in and make sure all of the messages are loaded. For instance, when selecting a conversation, only the 10-15 most recent messages are preloaded on the screen. You can go back further simply by scrolling on the screen. Make sure you have loaded as far back as you would like and then hit the print button at the top of the conversation window. Messages will be printed, along with who said what and the timestamp.
Unfortunately, Verizon Messages will only sync the messages sent/received AFTER you install the app on your phone I think. That is the way it used to be, I am unsure if this has changed since I first installed the app.
This makes it extremely easy to get a hard copy of any of your SMS conversations.
As to the exceptions I mentioned above, messages sent to your phone in order for Verizon to determine you actually have the phone in hand will not be synced to the computer. These are mostly sent when you want to change phones to determine that someone is not attempting to steal your identity. Everything else should be available on the computer.

I have a HP OficeJet Pro L7590 on my home network and looking at the Print & Share App if it is compatible with my printer or not. Is someone using this app with the same series printer and share with your experience? Thanks!

Thanks for your reply and sharing info. Can I check with you how you connect your printer with iPad. Currently, I have my HP printer to connect to my Netgear router using a lan cable. My router has wired and wireless interfaces so my iPad is connected to that router via Wifi protocol. Currently I can print the doc from my iPad to the printer via my iMac computer but the disadvantage is my computer must turn on before I can print. With Print & Share app, I would like to print direct to my printer without going thru my iMac. Otherwise, it is useless to me as I notice in their website saying that if fails to print, I have to install WePrint software on my computer. I do not need this but only print to my HP printer wirelessly. That is the reason I want to ask you. Sorry to turn out a complicated question.

If you don't want to buy any more hardware and have a printer connected to a desk top or laptop computer you could try printjinni. You would need to share the printer to make it available to the app (locate the printer in printers & faxes right click the printer and select share from the content menu)

For tax purposes I need to print my iTunes App history. This can be viewed only as a series of small windows - I could make a snapshot of each one. Is there a more user friendly print version available as a complete list of purchases?

The process of searching iTunes Store purchase history is REALLY awkward. It seems designed to discourage customer inquiry or use.
See below a brief list of steps (seriously) I just worked through in order to save my 2014 iTunes Store purchase history:
Log into iTunes Store account
Navigate to Purchase History
Press Command-Shift-4 and select a screen capture of the list showing a few recent purchases
Click Previous or Next button (To see earlier purchases click Next, click Previous button to see later purchases. Really.)
Press Command-Shift-4 and select a screen capture of the resulting list
Repeat (8 times) until desired lists have been captured as screen shots (or until you walk away in disgust)
Then open all .png screen capture image files in Preview
Export all image files to .pdf
Open newly exported .pdfs
Combine .pdfs into one file (see Preview Help for this)
Click and drag .pdfs into a coherent order (suggest chronological order, but coherence is optional)
Save As... your combined .pdf to a location of your choosing (printing optional)
Log out of iTunes Store

Canon offers two printing apps but your printer is not supported by either app. Your only choices are to find or buy a supported printer or don't print from your iPhone.

Print Manager App consumes over 99% of CPU and fans are constantly on.

In Activity Monitor there is a Print Manager App taking over 99% of CPU resources and as a result, fans are on at full speed constantly, even if NOTHING is open. The user of this App is "_lp".
I understand that "root" and "myname" should be the only users.
The machine is a laptop that I use by myself (or so I though).
Are the above signs that somebody/something got inside my machine? I have also discovered MacFUSE in my System Preferences and I know for sure that I did not installed that one.
Any ideas or suggestions?

Force-Quit it. If it comes back on, post back and we'll see if we can figure out why.

Doubful, but anything's possible. A Google search says it's a developer tool. Could be associated with some other 3rd-party app you've installed.
Is your firewall on? With the most restrictive settings?
Has your Mac been left unattended?
Do you need a password to sign on?
