I need a program to back up my Tiger

I have 10.4 and I am thinking of upgrading to 10.5, so naturally, I want to back up my data. What programs (free) should I consider to help me do this?
I saw RsyncX mentioned, but couldn't find it to download anywhere--all the pages were either removed or the file was no longer available.

Using Metroworks Codewarrior, I need a program that does the following.
Design and develop a class and a driver application which simulate the operation of a Roman Numeral Claculator. Unfourtanetly for those doing the calculations in the Roman Republic and Empire, Arabic numbers with zero and column values had not caught on. Instead integers were represented begining with the digit of the highest value, ending with the one of lowest value using purely additive notation in which the value of a number was simply the sum of its digits. but we will stick with the original IIII for 4 etc:
M 1000
D 500
C 100
L 50
X 10
V 5
I 1
Input
A) keyboard input of two numbers in roman numerals
B) keyboard input of an arthimetic operator ( + - * /)
output
A) explanation of the program and the format for entering data
B) prompts for the output
C) final answer including original numerals operator and roman numeral result espressed in a message format
processing requirements
A) convert roman numerals into intergers perform appropriate arithmatic then convert the integer answer back into roman numerals
B)input of a letter not roman numerals or operator other than those specified should not cause program to fail.

You need a Firewire cable to run between the two Macs. Using Utility>Migration Assistant running on your new MacBook Pro, transfer what you want (with all the preferences and such) from your MacBook to your MBP. Here's more info from Apple.
You might have an issue with the Serial number for Office, but hopefully you have that around.

iOS 5.0.1 has been out for a couple months, if not longer.
There was no delay in releasing it in any country.
So what is your issue?

I think my ipod touch is set to camera mode and I need to switch it back. When I hoook it up to my computer it thinks I am hooking up a camera and wants to download pics. It used to read it as an ipod and automatically synch. Now it doesn't do that. HELP

When I first got my ipod, I would hook it up to my computer and it would automatically synch with my itunes. But then I took some pictures with my ipod and downloaded the pics. Now everytime I hook up my ipod to my computer, it reads it as a camera and asks if I want to download pics. It is driving me crazy. I haven't used my ipod as a camera since that one time, and I need to get it back to automatically synching when I hook it up. It's like it is not being recognized as an ipod. Is there something I can do to get my ipod out of camera mode and back to ipod mode. Also, i got a speaker system to hook up my ipod to and it is not "picking up" the ipod when I hook it up. the music will not come out of the speakers and I think again it is an issue of my ipod being in "camera" mode. HELP!!!

But you'll have to be logged in with administrative rights, to change the settings.

Sorry for your loss but, If you didn't setup Find My iPhone BEFORE you lost your iDevice then there is no way to track it.
Change all the passwords for the accounts you were accessing on it and report the loss to your local police.

If you received you phone as part of the contract then surely from a legal pov your contract is with 3 not Apple unless you bought Applecare, if you bought your phone outright then put your 3 SIM into it then yes you'd have to visit an Apple store with your phone's purchase receipt.

Help. Deleted Quicktime using the Trash and I need to get it back!

Quicktime was not playing .avi files so I though I'd delete it and reinstall it to clear up the problem. So I dragged Quicktime into the trash and emptied it. When I tried to reinstall it I got a message saying that Quicktime cannot be installed on this disk because Quicktime X is already present. I need to get Quicktime back, can anybody help me please?

Extract the QuickTime X player from your Mac OS X 10.6 DVD and then run the combo updater for your Mac OS X version.
If you want QuickTime 7, it's here.
If you can't play a given AVI, install Perian. If you still can't play it, it probably can't be played in Mac OS X.
