    hi to all
I need recovery disk for my portege m300
I just have in Italian any one can make disk image from menu
or say me how to get one copy???
    Thanks

    Hi,
on official ways it's not possible to get a recovery disk in another language. You can only try to find somebody, who has an english version of the M300.
You can also build up the system by yourself with an english Microsoft Windows CD. The needed drivers and programs can be downloaded from Toshiba's site.

You can purchase Snow Leopard through the Apple Store: Mac OS X 10.6 Snow Leopard - Apple Store (U.S.). The price is $19.99 plus tax. You will be sent physical media by mail after placing your order.
After you install Snow Leopard you will have to download and install the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo v1.1 to update Snow Leopard to 10.6.8 and give you access to the App Store.
You may also purchase replacements for the two discs that came with the computer.

  • Need Recovery Disks - Please Help!

    Hello,
I need the recovery disks for my "Lenovo 3000 N200" laptop as I can not create the disks myself. Problem is, when I tried to call Lenovo for the disks and pressed 2 for the 3000 support, "it didn't recognize my choice". I really need these disks as my whole laptop system is screwed up from installing Ubuntu as a partition. I have had a lot of help and it has led me to get these disks but even that is proving difficult.
Does anybody know of any other way to get these disks?
    Thanks in advance,

  • Help!! I am in need of the recovery disks for a Satellite 2445-S305.

    Hi all,
I am needing the recovery disks for a Satellite 2445-S305.  I know this is an old one but still serves its purpose.  I just tried to reload back to factory with my disks but they are in bad shape and not working!  I hope someone can help me out.  I own the laptop and it has the COA for XP home and I have the original disks.  I can offer proof that I am not trying to scam and get the OS for free.  Reason for going back to factory is that when I load XP PRO the device manager show one "unknown device" and I can not solve this.  I have run across this before in the past and found a solution but I do not remember what it took to solve.  Thanks for any help!

Calling Toshiba Tech Support and Customer Support was useless... The answer I get is that recovery disk are handled by ACCLAIM and they cannot do anything... Just keep trying
So I used Window 7 I bought for my other laptop to restore my computer and now I have an issue with not having a valid key for my laptop.... I called Microsoft tech support and they told me to delete Window 7 from my laptop...
I take online classes and travel a lot due to my work. My laptop is my lifeline... Apparently no one at Toshiba or Microsoft give a crap about it... I being told to sit on my bottom with my thumb up you know where... Apparently this does not also qualify for me to take my laptop to authorize repair center... go figure...
If Toshiba have written code to give an option to restore to factory default under system restore like HP Laptops I would have never be in this predicament...
    PS.... I have 3 months old A505-36992
They do have an onboard recovery system similar to HP's.  If you had taken the time to read your User's Guide that came on your hard drive in Adobe Acrobat Format you would have known how to make your recovery disks as well as how to run the recovery process directly from the hard drive. All of that information begins on page 60.   Once you used the other Windows 7 disk to install Windows you lost the ability to do so.  Since you failed to do so the problem you are currently experiencing is self inflicted.
You can try downloading a Win 7 ISO from here and see if it will allow you ro use your product key from the bottom of the laptop.  It has worked for several people, but I don'g guarantee it.
If you don't post your COMPLETE model number it's very difficult to assist you. Please try to post in complete sentences with punctuation, capitals, and correct spelling. Toshiba does NOT provide any direct support in these forums. All support is User to User in their spare time.

  • Need a Recovery CD for HP Pavilion dv6t-7000, want to purchase the cd from south america

    Hi there:
I accidentally deleted all partitions from my HP Pavilion dv6t-7000 hard disk, I need the recovery disk, where can I purchase and download it?

If you know someone in the USA... order the discs or have them order the discs and send to their address. Once they receive the discs, have them mail the disc set to you in Venezuela.
Alternatively, if you can still read the 25-digit Windows product key on the Microsoft COA affixed to the bottom the computer, you can install Windows 7 using this key. Please see "How to Install Windows 7 Without the Disc" for instructions on how to download Windows 7, create the installation media, and install Windows 7 using the 25-digit product key from the Microsoft COA on your computer. Using this method will not install any HP customizations or value-added software and you will have to manually install all needed drivers.

  • How to install Vista on Satellite A300 without recovery disk?

Please I'm in desperate need of help,
My brother purchased new Toshiba A300-23E in Saudi Arabia. He has little knowledge of computers.
It was on the display threre.
He sent it to my father in Pakistan but soon noticed that it was full of virues and he fresh installed Windows xp SP2 after formating hard drive.
He gave that to me for fixing the problem. As it is designed for windows vista. I want to install windows vista but i havent got the recovery disk or any operating disk.
How am i suppose to install windows vista?
Somebody told me that i download vista trail version and enter the key which is on the back of my laptop.
    Anybody having any idea. plz

    > He sent it to my father in Pakistan but soon noticed that it was full of virues and he fresh installed Windows xp SP2 after formating hard drive.
This was a big mistake buddy
The recovery disk was not shipped with the notebook because there was an preinstalled tool called Toshiba recovery disk creator which allows you to create an own recovery disk.
But this is not possible since the HDD has been formatted and all files have been deleted.
Now you would not be able to recover the unit even using the HDD recovery since the files are not available on HDD.
You need a recovery disk and you can order it from here:

I need the recovery disks. I just need only the original OS, drivers and the HP proprietary applications. There is a stick on the bottom of the notebook with the serial to Win 7 64-bit Home Premium. I have my own Microsoft Office and other things I use.
I live in Argentina, and the local HP does not have any items concernig products not sold in Argentina. I don't like it, but I accept it.
I see an option to purchase the dvds in USA and have them mailed to me. But I would rather download them, paying the fee, of course. Is there a way to download my recovery dvds?

    Hi,
Unfortunately there is no Download option available from HP,  but there is a work around you may want to consider detailed below.
You can create a Windows 7 installation disc yourself - just download the correct Disc Image from the link below ( this must be the exact version - ie Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit ) and use an application such as ImgBurn to burn the ISO correctly to a blank DVD CD - a guide on using ImgBurn to write an ISO to a disc is Here.  These Images are clean and from a well-respected source, however there are only limited versions available.
    Windows-7 sp1-iso-official-32-bit-and-64-bit
When you wish to reinstall Windows, use the disc you have created to perform the installation, enter the Windows activation key found on the underside of your notebook when requested and when the installation has completed, use the 'Phone Method' detailed in the link below to activate the OS - this method supported by Microsoft and is popular with people who just want a clean installation of Windows 7 without the additional software load normally bundled with OEM installations.
    http://www.kodyaz.com/articles/how-to-activate-windows-7-by-phone.aspx
Any additional software & drivers you may need can be found Here.
    Note:
The reason you need to use the 'Phone Method' to activate the OS is because Windows 7 will recognise that the Activation Key on the base of your notebook is for an OEM version and in most cases, activation over the Internet will fail as the disc you have created to perform the installation will be a 'Retail Version'.  However, activating the OS over the phone will work without any problems - credit to Microsoft for allowing this method for Windows 7
