I need a replacement Phone
The touch screen on my husband's Droid 3 stopped working. I have done a hard reset with the buttons, but that did not fix the issue. He took my phone with him to work, so all I have available right now is the internet to get him a replacement. I know there use to be a way to order a replacement on the Verizon Website, but I can't find it. Can anyone provide a link for this please?

Touch screen on Iphone slowly, over a few days stopped responding. Went to Genius Bar and was given a new 3GS because they didn't know how to fix the issue. Cool. Went home synced with Macbook Pro (new-12/2010), two days later same issue. This time when I went to Genius Bar they restored the phone to factory settings and instructed me to load as a new phone in Itunes instead of restoring information of the previous phone, which is an option good for when your replacing phone not fixing one Anywho, did everything they told me to do. SAME ISSUE A FEW DAYS LATER. This time I was told the software issue is with my Macbook and I thought this made sense, so I took it in along with the phone. That was yesterday. Phone working intermittently since leaving Apple. I was given instructions that if their "daily" fix didn't work to erase hard-drive and reinstall software that came with the macbook and start fresh. This would definately fix the issue. Extreme yes, but I need use of my phone, especially since we got rid of the house phone and all use cell phones. So last night I did the required erase of hard-drive and re-loaded all software that came with it and Microsoft Office for Mac. Plugged in the phone to set up in itunes and thought that was it. My phone is still not working. Can't answer when I try, can't make calls, etc. What the heck do I do? I'm starting to feel like a major lamo having to keep going back to Genius Bar, but I know enough to know these issues should have been resolved with the steps I've taken. I even went as far as to restore through my husbands computer and same thing. Could there be a problem with Itunes? Could the magnetic stripe in my debit card be hurting the device somehow, although that's a long shot since I have had the same or similar case since getting the phone. Frustrated beyond belief. Apple support not open at this hour so I'm trying my luck here.....

Just bought a 5s to replace the 4s. My daughter lives in Bali, Indonesia. Needs a new phone and I would like to send it to her, rather than any other option. I was told it had to be unlocked to use internationally. What do I do, to make this possible. ?
Contact the wireless provider to which the iPhone is locked to ask
if they provide unlocking and if you qualify. Apple does not unlock
iPhones; only wireless carriers can unlock iPhones locked to their

I don't have phone, but the TV says I need to replace battery backup for phone?!?!?!

For three years, we've had Verizon Fios Internet and TV. We've never had a phone.
Today, the contraption Verizon plugged in the wall (sadly, I'm not really sure what it is, and had forgotten it existed until today as it's tucked behind some furniture) started beeping and the replace battery indicator light is on. Furthermore, when I turn on TV, I am greeted with this message:
My questions are:
(1) If I don't have phone service, why would I even have a battery backup (much less need to replace it) to allow phone service during power outages?
(2) Since I have only internet and TV, can I safely go without replacing this battery?
(3) If the answer to #2 is yes, then how do I get the thing in the wall to stop beeping every 30 minutes?
Thank you in advance to any responses.You can unplug the battery in your optical network terminal (ONT) and the message needing to replace the battery will go away. Verizon customer service did confirm the battery is only for phone service when power is off.
I was only able to find 3 links on the alarm / battery backup. It looks like they never thought about people who did not want the phone feature and to silence the beeping with the battery removed?
I don't know how frequently my unit beeps, but I don't normally hear it because it is in my garage. I don't know if it has a pattern to when it beeps; but when I'm in the garage, I sometimes hear a single loud beep for about 1 second.
I imagine the battery must enable the laser to function when the power is off besides supply power to the copper phone lines in your house for a line powered phone. I would assume then that if one had a UPS to power the computer and router and a good battery in the BBU; then one could have an internet when the power is off too? Verizon user manuals don't mention this, so it might not work?

my iphone battery is burning hot and the power goes to low battery in 20 minutes and charging takes all day does anyone know how to fix this or do i need to replace it for a new one, thank you
Make an appointment at the genius bar and get the phone replaced. It will cost you US$149 for an out of warranty replacement.
Do NOT keep it turned on. Do NOT use it. It is a fire hazard now. -

What do you mean by this? Did you restore the phone from an iCloud backup? Did you configure your iCloud account on the replacement phone? Was the original backed up or synced to iCloud to begin with?

I am not finding my backup of my Iphone 5 that I backed up in itunes. I need to put the old information on my replaced phone from Apple care.
the itunes back up can be found in preferences/devices on ur itunes
the preferences can be reached by going to:
windows pc: edit/preferences
mac pc: itunes/preferences
check ur icloud as well in case u had the 'back up to icloud' option checked instead of the 'to this computer' option when u backed it up to ur itunes.
if neither of those have ur back up then ur back up is not in that pc and not in ur icloud for that apple id. it might be somewhere else (another pc maybe) or it doesnt actually exist. -

I ordered an iPhone 5s in early September from the orange shop in Chamonix Mont-Blanc France.
I needed a new phone as i dropped my iPhone and broke it so it thought i would upgrade.
I was asked in the shop if I wanted a black or white one, I asked for a Black one, as all my iPhones have all been Black as I DON'T LIKE White ones. (sorry)
I was told my phone would arrive in a week so I waited with broken phone for new one. The following week I was told it would be the following week, the following week i was told the same but the assistant in the shop told me they would ring me when it arrived. Three days later i recieved a text from the shop to say the phone would be in tomorrow, when I went in they said it had not arrived and they would call me when it was in the shop.
They called me on Thursday the 17th of October to say the phone was in the shop.
I arrived at the shop at 6:00pm after my work, the shop closes at 7:00pm. I recieved the phone, signed for it and extra unwanted insurance with I was told I could only canceled in a month. I was then told they didn't have any sim cards in the shop, i said no problem the Phone i assume will need charging so i will take it home and charge it and return for the sim tomorrow.
So the Phone remained boxed.
When I returned home and opened the box I realised it was a white one, I replaced the lid put it back in the bag, and returned it to the shop first thing Friday 18th October, to point out the error, only to be told "to bad" ?? I was told I could have changed it the night before but not this morning? They said I had ordered a Black one but as I had signed for a White one nothing can be done. I was angry and left the shop. I returned later the same day with a French friend to try and resolve this problem, as I wasn't sure if something was being lost in translation. I didn't think I was being unreasonable, it is a very expensive piece of equipment and this wasn't what i wanted. They told my friend that the phone was not available in Black, that was the 5, and that the 5s was only available in silver and gold, and that mine was a silver one.
I then thought it was my mistake as it was a new phone. She put a sim in the phone put it in the box and I left for a business meeting only to arrive and see a Black iPhone 5s sitting on the table??
So I then returned back to the shop with the Black one and mine still all boxed and untouched to prove they had blatantly lied to me an hour ago, only to be told that there was nothing they were prepared to do.

A minor point, but it may avoid a little confusion if, instead of saying "black" in reference to the iPhone 5s, say "space gray":

So basically it sounds like you bought an abused used iPhone and somehow that makes the phone subpar because dispite the abuse it should still last forever and look like new? Batteries don't last forever, even under ideal conditions, so your expectatoins are unrealistic. Take it in and have an estimate done. -

My Earlier phone serial starts with 79 (this is manufacutred in china) am curious to know what does the factory code "70" stands for... hope this is not for refurbished.As I said, you walk in and put an ultimatum to them and they will happily give you your money back. But they can't do anything about the ETF and won't try. That's for you to sort out with the carrier
And even if they refuse, you go ahead and try that consumer complaint. You aren't likely to get very far on that route. Because the first thing the Apple lawyers will do is ask for the paperwork from your appointment so they can see where you signed the bit about "I understand and accept the terms of service". They can't be held accountable for you signing something you didn't bother to read. But you can be held to the terms, which include the sources for replacements and the possibility of receiving a refurbished product. So again, the best you might get is your money back from Apple. But you will still be out the money from the carrier if you are under contract.
And yes it will most likely be your money and not a new phone. Why? Because Apple has millions of customers they don't need a douche acting one like you so they will happily pay you back your money and send you on your way. -
What do i need to replace my screen?
I was in class today using my Iphone 4S 64GB.I set it down on my desk, and turned around to answer sombody's question. When i turned back to my desk, i knocked my Iphone onto the tile floor (3-4 feet) and it completely obliterated my screen. Now, as apple is extremely expensive compared to other options, if I was to fix this myself, what would i need? I relaced the glass & LCD screen on my iphone 4, which was easy because i knew that the LCD was broken. But with this phone, ive noticed that the screen works. So does that mean i would only need to replace the glass? Or do i still need to replace the entire display?

How to request a replacement phone
Does anyone know how to request a replacement phone without calling Apple if my phone customer service has ended? I still have a warranty on my phone, I just need to figure out how to request it without having to call. Help?
Well, I originally bought an iPhone 4 in December. The home key stopped working.. had to press it more than 4o times to get it to finally respond..on several occasions. Requested a replacement phone. Received it. Now this phone gets excessively hot after using apps for approximately 5 minutes..and now the home key on this phone is doing the same thing but on the replacement phone. It's just not as bad yet. Any thoughts?

Facebook won't download on droid eris replacement phone
I just received a replacement phone yesterday for my Droid Eris. As I was getting things set-up, I tried to install/update the Facebook app. It goes through the whole process and then says Installation Unsuccessful. So when I click on that, it says Insufficient Storage Available. But, 1. it's a new phone and 2. when I check the storage on the phone, I have more than enough. Therefore, whenever I try to log-in on the widget, it won't let me and pops up saying An Error Had Occurred During the Sign-In. Please Try Again Later. I know my log id and password are correct because I can log-in through the browser. Any suggestions or help??????

One thing you can try is clearing out the cache memory on the device for the Facebook app. Go to setting > Applications > Manage Applications > look for the Facebook app and select the clear cache option.
If clearing the cache doesn't help then try removing the Facebook app and re-downloading it.

my i phone5c were showing signs of loosing battery life quick, i visited to Apple store and they went through a few things and tbh it didnt solve anything, my phone were dieing fast and i had to put up with it, money battery went dead saturday night and then when i got home i put my phone on charge and when i woke up i realised that my iphone didnt charge over night, i re-plugged it downstaires and it came on 1% but i had to go so i started my travel home, my phone did die as i were going home, so when i got home i plugged it in and nothing happened, i phone apple up and they told me to hold home button and power button and still NOTHING happened! i cant afford to buy a replacement phone so i have an appoitment tommorrow with Apple but im scared there going to take my phone for repair and not give me a loan phone, as i need a phone to look for work, and hopefully i might have a job ringing me back Moday/Tuesday or Wednesday.
