I need a specific and simple answer to my question-if I bought a new IPOD

would my existing ITUNES recognize it, and what is the procedure? I have 4000 songs in my ITUNES library, and I recently gave my IOPD to my son. I have quicktime, and all that. Am I ready to go, or exactly what do I have to do? thanks so much. Jeff 580-471-2019

Just plug it in. Each iPod has a unique serial number.
Yes your existing iTunes will recognize it.
