I need a vi converted from LabVIEW 9.0 to 8.6 or 7.1

I have a few vis that need to be saved to an earlier version. These are in version 9.0 and I need them in 8.6 to open them. It would be better if I could get them in 7.1.

I converted them into 8.6, I was missing a few dependancies (mvfgi5.dll) so I just ignored them.

Converting from LabView 4.0 to 8.5

I have a Pico Technology TC-08 thermocouple datalogger (RS232). It has drivers for Labview 4.0 but I use Labview 8.5, which says it can't convert the drivers. From the help pages I have understood that there is separate software that can convert from Labview 4.0 to 8.5. Can anyone tell me where I can download or otherwise obtain this software?

converted to LV7.1 - should be ok now
But: there's a "missing dll"-error. You have to check this in LV8.5.
There is also no guarantee the dll will work with LV8.5 or maybe new operating system (from Win95 to WinXP or Vista?)

Help needed Importing a string from labview into matlab for file opening

Hello,
I am using labview to allow the user to pick the file to open via the
open labview measurement file block. Then I take the filename and
convert it from a path to a string and try to import it into my matlab
script which I use dlmread() to open my data file. However the
datafile does not open. I was wondering if anyone would help me with
this method?

Hi Nicole,
Are you using the Matlab Script Node or the MathScript Node? I know that dlmread is not currently implement with MathScript (although R&D is looking at implementing further features for future versions of LabVIEW). Also, I'm not sure which VI you are using to get the file path because there isn't an "Open LabVIEW Measurement File" VI. There are Read & Write LVM and a simple Open\Create\Replace File VI--are you using one of these? If you are using the Open File VI, Matlab may be unable to read from the file because it is already locked for editing by LabVIEW.

Need a file converted from InD CS5 to InD CS4...

Had someone do some work for me and their source file came as a CS5 InDesign version 7 file (I think)... which I cannot open in CS4 InD version 6. Is there such as thing as file converter of some kind or do I need to have them or someone else open it in CS5 and save it in some compatible format?

Yes (well, to the 2nd part of your question).
Ask someone who has a CS5 to save it as IDML, or (always an option!) download the fully functional trial of CS5, and you have about 30 days to do it yourself.

Loader (Need help to convert from AS3 to AS2)

Since I know this code works fine and that I use it into one of my AS3 flash, I need it in one of my AS2 flash and I don't know how to adapt it. I've searched in over 100 threads and I can't find something similar... Thanks to help me get it to work in AS2! Since I need it in AS2, I thought it would be the right place to post it.

If you look at the Flash help documentation for the addListener metod of the MovieClipLoader class, there is an erxample there that you should hopefully be able to work from. It will be better if you get your stuff coded into AS2 before you pursue more help with it. IT is difficult to tell you how to fix something if you don't show what you are using.

Need help in converting old LabVIEW instrument drivers to new version.

I just rented a Tektronix DG2020A data generator. I did not find any instrument drivers for the DG2020A on the Instrument Driver Network, although there are drivers for DG2040 that could be used to some extent. With the instrument, I also received a floppy with example programs. This does include LabVIEW drivers for the DG2020A. However, when I tried to load the VIs, I received an error message that the VI version 3.1 is too old to be converted to 7.1. Can someone at NI help with the conversion? It would be very useful.

There is a driver available for the DG2020 on NI's site. Models supported are the DG2020, DG2030, and DG2040. Available in both 7.x and 8.x.

Convert from LabView 6.1 to LabView 6.0

Can anyone kindly save this VI's in 6.0 version. I do not have LV 6.1 and these VI's are written in LV 6.1 version.

It appears to be one of the example programs provided and as far as I know, it's there in 6.0 (it's a lot older than that I believe). From the help menu, select Find Examples and then go to Hardware Input and Output>DAQ>Solutions. High Speed Data Reader and High Speed Data Logger should both be there.
