I need adobe reader but don't know which one to download to my new Mac Pro with retina?
I need help...I need to download adobe reader for my banking and such. But don't know how to do it let alone what one I should choose. Could someone please help me. Thank you bunches
You download from the Adobe website. Follow the step by step instructions. Any questions post in the Adobe forums since it's their product.

Start by checking if you can run Snow Leopard:

Before installation you should back up all your data.

I have a Sony Mini HiFi (CMT- BX70DBI) and my 4th gen does not fit on the dock. I assume I need an adaptor, but which one?
If the Sony uses the Universal Dock System you need this adopter. If it does not they try Sony.

I have just purchased Adobe Acrobat XI Standard. I received all the appropriate emails with serial numbers etc. I go into my Adobe account so I can download the content and I cannot read the page as all the page content is in symbols. I obviously don't know what they are saying nor which button it is to download the program. I have a screen shot of my product's page if necessary. I have tried going through Internet Explorer and Google Chrome.

Are you having trouble with other websites, or just with Adobe? Let's start by clearing the browser cache, and logging back in to http://www.adobe.com. You may also want to try a different web browser as well. Are you able to download Acrobat from this page: Download Acrobat products | Standard, Pro | XI, X?
If you're still having issues when you're looking at your account on Adobe.com and downloading Acrobat, let us know. If you write back, please let us know what browser you're using, and whether you're on Mac OS or Windows.

When I go to my home page or various web pages there are ads link boxes that never load a picture or anything. They just have a notice that the page could not be loaded. usually it says it can't connect to the internet and to check internet connectivity. when I do it runs a scan that comes back saying there were no connectivity issues.

You can use Preview to open PDFs. Right-click a PDF file and go to Open with > Preview -
The MBP w/ Retina Display is 2.3GHz but the other without Retina Display is 2.6GHz. So I don't know which one would play games absolutely flawlessly. I wont have the screen resolution so high on the games though. So can someone reply and tell me which one I should get and why?
Mac's are generally not 3D gaming computers and laptops especially are not because 3D games require a upgraded video card to take advantage of newer games and more feature rich updates.
Only the Mac Pro can one change the video card, if one can find a upgrade for it.
If you really love 3D gaming, a Windows 7 3D gaming tower is your machine.

3D gaming on a Mac is sort of a second hobby, it's rather short lived as one can't replace the video card once a year, only with a new machine purchase.
Most 3D games are for Windows anyway and Apple almost demands OS X be upgraded to newer verisons annually now, so that sort of throws a monkey wrench into a Mac gaming rig with software upgrades and all. On the other hand Windows 7 is supported for a decade.
Mac's just don't work well with 3D gaming, perhaps a Win 7 tower and a iPad or something. -
No sound today. Maybe because I turned the sound off on a free game app yesterday but now don't know which one and probably deleted the app.
It's pamonvashon again (the person who posted the question). I fixed it so I'll tell you how in case it happens to you. I was correct. I went back and re downloaded the game, "Virble". At the beginning of the game o I used the buttons on the side of the phone to turn the sound off and on and the sound came on! A miracle! So beware of VIRBLE!!!

Everytime i try to download firefox3.6 it says if i wish to run or save the file (I say run),then it says something about a temp. file and I say to run.Then it asks me what file i wish to use and I don't know which one.If i use Mozilla,then it kicks me out and it won't let me get the newer version.

I know many have this issue but i can't find a solution to the problem. i get message saying insuffisiant disk space in the volume iPhoto library and i have plenty of space available. i have the new macbook pro with retina display. i have never seen this message before and i have 2 other macbooks and have had many other also. i am assuming this is a problem with the new macbook retina. does anyone know the exact fix to this issue? i have seen many sugestions to try to fix this issue but none have solved the issue for anyone that i can find in the Apple Support Community. thank for looking into this in advance.
******A true apple fan********Actually your suggestions are the ones that i have tried. i have seen that you have tried to help others with this issue and the only one that i could find that said they found the problem said that it was an ilife update issue and it fixed it and i have no available updates. i know it has to do with something in photo stream because it happens when i create a new library and it is loading the photos but i get the message before i reach the maximum 1000 photos. so i've tried updating, new library(first backing up photos and then deleting them from iPhoto), reinstalling OSX many times, running disc utilities. I called Apple the first day i had this issue and i was the first person to call them for support with the retina display and i actually had it escalated to a senior advisor and we thought we fixed the problem but we did not. i am pretty fluent in dealing with troubleshooting these type of issues and this is the first time i'm reaching out to the community. i figured now that the retina has been out some time now that there would be an obvious answer to this issue. thanks for the quick reply.

I was trying to run ITunes 10.7 update on my Mac Pro with Retina dispaly but "An error has occurred" and I was not able to proceed with the update. The message says "The operation was cancelled. (3072)." I have no other messages. Any ideas why I cannot install this update
Scott's solution fixed the problem. It would have been helpful if the update message in the App Store had reported that. I had first tried B Noir's solution -- and received a helpful warning message that a guest user was still logged in to iTunes. I switched over, logged the guest user out, switched back and the update within the App store worked perfectly.
It seems to me that Apple should invest a little time and effort in making their error/warning messages easier to decipher. I have to come to the forum every time something happens. Why not simply have a dialogue window that opens up to explain the most likely issues?
