I need any IN LAB View FPGA Engineer,I'm tired of searching

Dear
I have work on vhdl language for more than 2 year on xilinx FPGA using  xilinx ISE
I now work on labview FPGA due to its fast programming
I have main  problem  with LABVIEW FPGA and not solved until know which it as follow
when I need to build system in FPGA in  xilinx ISE their a single clock and depend on this clock I will synchroniz the adder and multiplier and other elements using  vhdl  code so depend on my code this clock will have maximum frequency value and during simulation their is an single clock I can see the change.
But when I work on LAB VIEW FPGA no single clock appear and many clock source appear
for example
in compilation result you can see two clock
And in xlinx log you can see two clock
And from this http://www.ni.com/white-paper/12942/en
you can see three source
please expain to us what is happen !!!!

  • Lab view programming to control the printer

    Hi,
As part of my senior design, I am working on LAb view programming. Though I know some basics of lab view, I don't know how to apporach it in the right way. Our device is a dispenser (ink jet printer) which has to dispense user defined amount in user defined location. lab view program has to be interfaced with the printer to do so. I know some basics of lab view and currently I don't know where I am heading to. I have also read the one discussion forum on Lab view FPGA to control an inkjet printer which  discussed about FPGA module.
    Thanks,
    Sundeep

No, I'm saying that depending on the level that you are interfacing would determine whether the FPGA would be a good answer. If you are interfacing to an existing inkjet printer, where you may need to just provide it with the appropriate values through an existing interface, then FPGA would probably not be the answer. If you are connecting at a lower hardware level where you need to directly control the print head, positioning "stuff" etc., then it might. But as I said, and you have reiterated, it is expensive. FPGA allows you to through "software" define a hardware logic. It is particularly good for those things that need very critical timings between signals as it basically programs a digital logic card, therefore the timings are no longer software/operating system dependent, they are in hardware, with outputs and internal signal changes dependent on internal, hardware, clock transistions. You mention that the printer is an epson inkjet. Are you talking a standard, plug it into a computer, epson printer? Are you expecting to "hack" its hardware to get control of those functions you mentioned, like user controlled ink quantity, etc.? You will have to tell us what you have in a little more detail, and what you expect to have to do. Interface to a printer can be hooking up a parallel, or usb connection and sending the codes to print (which in LabVIEW can be its own hurdle!) to the extreme of cutting into existing hardware to introduce "internal" control signals that substitute for the original. The first step to trying to solve your technical problem is being able to describe what it is that you are trying to do, in as much detail as possible.

  • I nead to find some Lab View driveres for some instruments

     Hello to you all
I need to find Lab View drivers for some instruments,I tried to look for them in the ni site and hp site and in every place I could think of but with no luck,
Does anyone know were can I find more Lab View drivers?

Some of these instruments do have drivers or ones for very similar instruments. They are the 8920,4416,8657,8901,8560,TDS540. I haven't gone to any of the vendors sites to see if there were any more you might have missed. You should also know that drivers labeled as 'plug and play' but not LabVIEW, can be converted to a LabVIEW driver.
If your search still comes up short, you have a few options. At http://www.ni.com/devzone/idnet/default.htm you can make a request for a driver. NI does drivers based on demand and there is no guarantee when or if they will develop one. You can develop them yourself. The above page has links that will help you with this. Developing a driver is not an especially difficult task. You can use the Instrument I/O Assistant or just regular VISA Read/Write to control the instrument. You can hire someone to write the drivers for you. NI has the Alliance Program at http://www.ni.com/alliance/. Some members specialize in driver development. You can choose one of them or someone local.

  • How to make it in Lab View 6.1 ?

    Hi .
I'm looking for game , which is made in Lab view . Game called "Memory
Blocks" - I think that You know it. If not , You can download it from :
    http://www.robrob8.com/games/blocks.htm .
I know : it's easier to make it in C++ or java , but now I need it in Lab
    view .
Perhaps , someone of You have make it or know how to start it .
Thanks for all schemes ,plans , suggestions or final game - Goldi

This should be quite easy to do in LabVIEW.
There are many ways to do this. I just wired up an example to give you some ideas and get you started. A few simple comments are on the diagram.
For simplicity, I used colors that need to be matched pairwise instead of images and the size is only 4x4. Resize as needed.
You would need to add initial shuffling of the color array, currently the problem is static.
    Enjoy.

  • Completely new to lab view and need to get some stop watch help please

OK I am new to lab view so please be patient with me. I have a need for a stop watch that is triggered to start when two voltage values differ by more than 0.110V and then stop counting when they return to within 0.110v my goal is to capture the total amount of time the two voltages differ and record it along with the rest of the data is this possible and how would I do it? Thanks I am running 8.5

thanks for the quick response but thats not really enough info to help me as I am very very unfamiliar with lab view and have only been using it for a few days(mainly just plugging in copied sections) so hopefully someone can give me a little more help. But the good news is I am now looking into taking one of the Lab view courses but that probably won't help me with this problem this week. thanks again for your help
For starters, try to write the name correctly. It is LabVIEW, not lab view.
Seriously though, your best way of learning to is try some things yourself first. Look through the examples that ship with LabVIEW for the components Raven suggested (while loops, shift registers, etc.) We could give you a working example but you will learn far more by trying things for yourself. As suggested, try a few things and then post what you have done and what you are having trouble with. From there we can answer your questions rather than just do it for you.

  • Lab View crashing when creating new bound variable

    Hi,
I have to connect to an OPC server from Lab view and have played around a bit with the OPC client options.
I would like to use shared variables as that seems like a handy way to access the needed variables. I have followed the instructions in http://zone.ni.com/devzone/cda/tut/p/id/7450 .
However when i use the create bound variables feature LabView crashes when i browse for OPC tags, step3 under "Create Shared Variables that Connect to the OPC Tags through the I/O Server". If i try to expand the node "OPC1" LabView crashes. I try to access the built in NI OPC server locally.
Also during this process LabView gives warning box saying "Configure OPC server to run with an identity of interactive user". we did try the the steps in http://zone.ni.com/reference/en-XX/help/371618G-01/lvdschelp/config_local_opc_serv/ . However the The interactive user button was disabled under NI OPC sever properties.
Is there something i have missed? Something that needs to be configured before going through that tutorial?
I run LabView 2011 on a 64 bit Win7P computer. The DSC module and the NI OPC Servers are installed and seem to work (when running the OPC examples ).
    Thanks.

    Hello AmritaNikhil,
Thanks for the post, I have a few questions for you about this issue.
What versions of NI OPC Servers are you using?
Is the server hosted on your local machine or on a remote machine?
Are you able to successfully connect NI OPC Servers and NI OPC Quick Client?
Have you been successful in using OPC IO Servers in the past or has this issue occurred since you have started your application?
Can you consistently reproduce this crash?
You can try to work around this issue by using Network Items rather than Project Items when creating bound variables in the Create Bound Variables window. Please try this option and let me know if you have any additional information about your application that may be helpful in solving this issue. In addition, I have also included a link to a similar post. Hope this helps!

  • Looking for lab view example

My application consists of collecting data from a bank of sensors as pressures and tempratures vary. I would like to run a lab view VI that tests the sensors, varies the environment and keeps track of all results, sorting them into good and bad. Each sensor needs to be tested in different pressures, then the temprature increases and the pressure test begins again. If there is a lab view example that might be able to get me started, I really need to find it. Thanks for any and all help.

There are a number of examples that ship with LabVIEW and their usefulness will depend on information not specified in your questions - such as what version of LabVIEW you have, what type of DAQ card(s) you have, and if you are using any SCXI hardware. If you open LabVIEW and go to Help >> Find Examples, you can search through a number of different examples.
For the application it sounds like a good place to start would be with an Acquire to Spreadsheet type of file that reads, graphs, and logs data. From there, depending on what you mean my using the card to vary the environment, you can find other examples of AO and DIO to perform these type of functions. These examples will give you a good starting place as to how a LabVIEW program works and the general flow
that you will need to follow.
Also, depending on your other needs, you might considering looking into examples with triggering to enable you to control when your program starts.

  • How to get bode plot in lab view

    Hi all,
I'm just starting with lab view.
    We have NI PXI system.
I need frequency responce of a servo motor i.e.  bode plot,
I'm using labview 8 ,we have PXI 7352 motion controller.
I'm very confused as where to start and what is the in put to the motor.
    can any one help me?

    Hello,
I'm not so sure that using a motion control card is the way to go about finding the frequency response of a servo motor. In order to do this, you would give the motor a varying sinusoidal voltage and then measure the voltage output of a velocity sensor. Here is a link to a document that goes through the process: ftp://ftp.ni.com/pub/devzone/epd/lab5_frequency_response.pdf

  • How to control a NI USB 6210 from a Lab View program?

    Hi,
I started today with Lab View with some earlier experience long ago.
While it took me only about half an hour to get my first program running (great), installation time nor included (of course), I meanwhile read documents for some hours and cannot find out how to control measurement hardware in Lab View.
I want to use a USB 6210 to set a 1-bit digital port. But at the moment there is no USB6210 available so I wanted to write (or do you say draw ?) the program without it and if possible simulate the hardware.
I drew DAQ Assistant into my block diagram and selected digital line output but get "No supported devices found". I don't know if the appropriate driver was installed during Lab View installation.
Also I don't understand the mechanism between DAQmx, tasks and the real hardware. Now I have a "Digital Bool 1Line 1Point" Control in my block diagram. How do signals get from program flow to hardware pin? How can I create a simulation for not connected hardware?
    Any help is greatly welcome
    Thanks a lot

Launch MAX, it was known as Measurement and Automation Explorer, there should be a shortcut in your start menu / desktop.  Under devices and interfaces you can find your hardware and open test panels to control it.  This is the first place to ensure your hardware is working.  If the device isn't seen you'll need to install the drivers and DAQmx software.  If it is there, great.
Now launch LabVIEW.  The easiest way to control hardware is using the DAQ Assistant.  It has many limitations and isn't recommended for large applications.  But for something quick and dirty it works fine.  You'll find it under the Measurement I/O >> NI DAQmx palette on the block diagram.  If it isn't there you may need to reinstall the DAQmx drivers.  This can happen if you installed DAQmx before LabVIEW.
Also you'll find under Help >> Find Examples on the toolbar, many examples on controlling hardware.  Feel free to post some code if  you are having problems.
