  • Satellite P10-504 WXP driver for video, modem and SM bus controller

I have just had to replace the hard disk in my P10-504 and I now have lots of problems!
1 - I used the retore disks and XP home is installed BUT the video, modem and SM bus controller all all flagged in Control Panel and not having drivers installed! The modem I can live without but I would like the video to work properly and the SM bus controller is also pretty essentil. Guess what, I can't
    a) find my model listed on the Toshiba website and
    b) I can't find drivers for either the video or SM bus controller.
I have downloaded the 'universal' Nvidia driver but it doesn't work! As for the SM bus controller, I've no idea where to look!
    Any ideas please?
    Thanks
    Tim

    Hi
Your posting is a little surprise because all XP drivers for your notebook must be available on the Toshiba driver page.
Did you choose the right notebook series and did you download and install all necessary drivers???
As first its important to install the chipset utility and depending on installed graphic card
You have to choose and to install the right display driver!
Again! The drivers are on the page!

When I looked on hp's site there is no driver that I saw for any of these.

Are you using drivers from your Support page? The AMD graphics driver usually has sm bus and usb drivers. The PCI device is Realtek Card Reader, also in the list. You can also order Recovery Media which reinstalls Windows and all drivers & software. http://support.hp.com/us-en/drivers/selfservice/HP-Pavilion-dv6-6c00-Entertainment-Notebook-PC-series/5191856/model/5210864#Z7_3054ICK0KGTE30AQO5O3KA30R1  Too bad your grandparents didn't use HP Recovery Manager installed on the laptop to reinstall Windows. That would have prevented this.

  • Drivers for PCI 6052E and 8.2

OK and sorry in advance, I'm not a Labview wiz.   I have a PCI6052E card and I just upgraded ut 8.2. In Measurement and Auto it does not see the card/divice. do I need to update my drivers? and if so where do I get them on the download site? I am running triaditional (legacy) devices. this is because I have several old Vi's that I use all the time. It can see my chassis (SXI-1001 ) and modules but not the card. I think i'm missing something here.
    Thanks again
    dennis

Any time you upgrade to a new version of LabVIEW, you will need to upgrade the drivers as well, this is so the drivers get linked in to the newest version.  You will need to install from the Device Drivers CD (or DVD).  As well as installing the traditional drivers, install DAQmx as well.
The drivers should also be available for download from the NI website.

  • 15-g092sa - yellow sign in device manager for "PCI Device" (win7x64). Missing chipset drivers

Hi, I just installed Win7 64 Pro - very happy with the machine, it's all crisp and light.
My device maneger reports a missing driver for PCI Device. I can't tell what's missing exactly, the laptop works fine.
I noticed the chipset driver was missing for Win7. For win8.1 it was an Intel driver (?!?, The laptop is an AMD A8).
Was wondering if you can pitch in some info about what is missing and how do I install it.
    Thanks

Unless you can get the last XP driver from 2002 to install in compatibility mode, you can pretty much forget about it. That card is just way to old to get any kind of driver for Windows 7.

  • Can't find drivers for PCI stuff?

MS 7267 v5.0, Intel 2x1.5 gHz, junkyard machine acquired with no HD, possibly dumped because of a bad HD cable.  It's kind of a hobby for me, getting dead machines working and using them.  This one, however, has a frustrating problem.
I picked Win XP SP 2 as the OS, the Cover Our Authenticity sticker says it had XP Media Center Edition 2005 on it originally.
With the original HD gone I had to start from zero on drivers.  Got several with the usual sorts of digging, including use of MSI's Live Update.  Device manager still reported three missing drivers;  I got rid of 'PCI Simple Communications Controller' error by replacing the Conexant software modem that came in it with a real modem for which XP had the driver.   That leaves just 'PCI device,' and 'Video Controller (VGA compatible),' as missing drivers.
I don't even know what 'PCI device' IS -- the message is still there when there's nothing in any socket so it must be something on the buss -- audio or ???
This seems like a rather low wattage question for this forum, but I spent several hours with Google without coming up with anything useful.  Thanks for any help ...

"MB name should be on the board somewhere between the PCI slots ..."
And that's all it took.  The MB name is as given in my first post, but I also found "945 GZM6" which Google quickly explained is the Intel chipset for the board.  Googling that with "VGA driver" and "PCI device driver" got me the links to manually download the needed drivers from MSI.   Display works better, no more ugly messages, and I probably now have audio since the PCI driver was a Realtek one that covered that.
This is my first visit to the world of noname boxes with independent maker MBs.  Damn interesting ...
    THANK YOU!

  • PCI Device and Network Controller uninstalled

Having problems with downloading a pci device and network controller driver for presario cq57? Need help. my hardware id is PCI\VEN_10EC&DEV_5209&SUBSYS_3577103C&REV_01

    Hi:
You need to install the Realtek Card Reader driver from your notebook's support and driver page for the PCI device.
Please  do the following so I can find out what model wireless card your model uses...
Go to the device manager, find the Other Devices category, and click on the Network Controller needing drivers.
Then click on the Details tab at the top of the network controller window.
Now you see a Property drop down list and it is defaulted to Device Description.
Drop down on that and select the second item on the list (Hardware ID's).
Post the top string of characters that begin with PCI\VEN.

  • Drivers for input devices, xorg.conf

    Hi!
I have a laptop with keyboard + touchpad of course and external usb logitech mouse. I would like you to advise me about drivers for these devices. For logitech mouse it's rather obvious. I need to use evdev, to use all buttons. But is there any sense to use evdev with touchpad (Elantech) or keyboard? Should I use standard kbd driver for keyboard and mouse for touchpad? Do you have any other suggestions?
(BTW. I am encountering some problem with mouse and touchpad configured as evdev. When logging out of gnome, X server gets a segfault (Fatal Error, Caught signal 11).

I think that card is an agp card (i have one matrox g100 here agp1x, powerful stuff 8mb xD).
There's an option called Agp aperture size in your bios... since you almost dont have any video ram memory avaiable, increase that value to at least 128mb and you should be able to do something with that... (you need to have at least 128mb of ram).
8mb isn't enough to have high resolutions with 24bit depth. just do "(resolution x bit depth) /  (100000 * 8)" -> that will give you in MBytes the amount of vram that you need. For example, 1280x1024 @ 24bits needs 4mb. *i cant confirm if what i said is correct, but im almost sure that this is the math that you have to do*

  • Qosmio G10-133 Drivers for Other Devices

    Hi peeps.
Yes I know this is an old laptop. I recently had to re-install the software due to hard drive failure. I always have problems. Toshiba installed a new motherboard years ago with the upgraded video chipset Nvidia Geforce Go 6600. Since then I have always had problems reinstalling using original disks. I have never been able to reinstall the Qosmio Player and always end up with the laptop rebooting after software was installed and going to blue screen of death. I have now given up with the qosmio player and the install disks (Windows MCE) and just install Windows XP. However here is the problem:
Under Device Manager I get a couple of errors:
Other Devices states MULTIMEDIA VIDEO CONTROLLER as not working.........what an earth is this and where do I find the driver?
UNKNOWN DEVICE as not working.................................what on earth can this be and what drivers?

    Hi again,
I went and did what you suggested, but it can't find a vendor and the 2nd item is unknown. The "System" showed the following:
System Information report written at: 02/13/11 09:19:59
    System Name: QOSMIO
    [Problem Devices]
Device PNP Device ID Error Code
Multimedia Video Controller PCI\VEN_4444&DEV_0016&SUBSYS_00011179&REV_01\4&AD1 B67F&0&48F0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
Not Available ACPI\TOS6205\2&DABA3FF&0 The drivers for this device are not installed.
I couldn't find vendor 4444. I assume that the problem is that my motherboard is different to the one my disks are for. To get the graphics card to work I had to download the drivers for the g20 model not the g10. (I assume that this is due the original being an nvidia 5900 and this board has nvidia 6200.

    Hi
To be honest I doubt that you have installed all files from the Toshiba website. Normally the Toshiba website contains all drivers and tools that you need to restore factory settings after this there are no more yellow exclamation marks or unknown devices in device manager.
By the way: What installation order you have used?
On the Toshiba website you can find the installation instructions document. This is a list for the recommended driver installation order.
    Check this!!!
