I need drivers for the X-Fi XtremeMu

I need Windows ME drivers cause that's the OS I have and I can't seem to find any. If they arent, Any workarounds? I really want sound.

Not gonna work. I tried softmodding Audigy 2 drivers to make my Audigy 4 work on WinME but to no avail, it was futile. The X-fi drivers were built on the emphasis of Windows Xp and XP 64bit.
Just upgrade to XP, it's only like $99. Or find a copy of Windows 2000 on ebay and return your x-fi and get an Audigy 4. Or if you really want a good sound card with WinME you should get your hands on an Audigy 2 ZS which has good drivers for WinME, better than the 2K/XP drivers.Message Edited by SquealOfDeath on 02-4-200704:48 PM

  • I need drivers for the "Emagic AMT-8" midi interface

I just bought the AMT-8 interface, but the guy I bought it from did not include the drivers for the interface.
Does anabody know how I get my hands on the drivers? My setup is a Macbook with Mac OS X (version 10.5.4) and I use Logic Express 8...
    Thanks - Jens Sejersen

    Jens,
Keep going with the installation until you can't go any further without installing the entire program. If you get to that point and still do not see the "Custom" installation choice, start over and, this time, press the OPTION key (keep holding it down!), then double-click on the "Install Logic" like you did before. Go through the installation to see if the "Custom" install shows up. (If the CONTROL key does not work then try the COMMAND key, if that does not work, try the Shift key).
    Good luck

    Thanks in advance!

Sorry dude, search and you'll see....you are screwed! They never posted even a mixer for download! Maybe you'll get one of those cut & paste messages from that moderator who can't accept Private Messages saying "We do support our product...if you call sales and buy ( another product ) a driver CD..." isn't that support? What a joke, 'eh!

I am trying to install solaris7 on intel and it's failing because my video adapters/card's (Diamond Speedstar A90 version 5060) drivers are not included on the CD. Does anyone know where I could I find "Supplemental Drivers"?
I also tried the installation with an S3 Savage4 card (16M) and did not succeed; any help with this?
If I have to buy a new card with is the best card used by solaris on intel?
    Thank you,
    Mathias.

CArds supported by Solaris are listed in the applicable HCL at
    soldc.sun.com/support
Solaris 8, for which the media kit can be obtained for $75, has a little additional graphics support (for HCL see above).
Finally, third party drivers are available e.g. from www.xig.com or xfree86.org

    Drivers & Needed Files:
(Note: All these drivers are for Windows XP.)
Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.40
(Please use at your own risk, these are LEAKED drivers. Password for the .zip file is "ocworkbench rules". Also, you will need to rename the WinXP_2K folder in IDE to either WinXP or Win2K else the installer doesn't pick it up.) Thanks for the link Wonkanoby!
*NEW* Leaked Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 5.03
More leaked drivers? Seems some parts of the drivers are older and some are newer.
    1. Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Web Install) -or- Windows XP Service Pack 1A (Full Install)
    2. Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Web Install) -or- Microsoft DirectX 9.0b (Full Install)
    3. Nvidia nForce3 Chipset Drivers Version 4.24
    4. AMD Athlon 64 Processor Driver Version 1.1.0.14
    5. Nvidia Video Card Driver Version 56.72 -or- Omega Nvidia Video Card Driver Version v1.5303
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard Nvidia drivers.)
    5. ATI Video Card Driver Version 4.7 -or- Omega ATI Video Card Driver Version 2.5.51
(The Omega drivers are third party drivers optimized for gaming, most prefer these over the standard ATI drivers.)
    6. Onboard Sound Driver (Realtek AC'97 Audio Codec) Version A3.61
It is HIGHLY reccomended that you install the drivers/needed files in the order listed above. Please note that there are two #5's because you either install one or the other depending on your video card, do not install both of them.
You will come across a problem here though. You can't install the chipset drivers without installing the Windows service pack and DirectX first, but the Windows service pack and DirectX installs need the internet to download files and you won't have working internet until you install the chipset drivers. Here's what I did to get around this. Instead of downloading the web install versions of Windows service pack and DirectX, download the full version and and put them along with all the other drivers on a backup hard drive or burn them to a CD, this way you will have all the drivers you need when it's time to install them and none of them will require the internet to download files.
Another note when installing drivers. Apparently the Nvidia chipset drivers also come with drivers for the onboard sound, but people seem to agree that the Realtek onboard sound drivers are better. When you are installing the Nvidia chipset drivers, just be sure to uncheck the box for sound drivers when it asks you which drivers you would like to install. Now you can safely install the Realtek drivers without any chance of conflicting sound drivers. Thanks for the tip Wonkanoby!

oh.  IIRC the installer just says USB 2.0 will be fully functional after SP1 is installed.  So after you install SP1 you go into device manager and u click update driver and it will auto search and update the driver.
Simplicity-wise, i guess its pretty much equal.  It might take less preparation to just copy DX9 full onto a CD and install that first, then nforce driver, then right away you have yoru internet connection.
but i dunno.. i guess i will try it your way this time when my RMA"d board comes.
i will be fomratting and doing a fresh install later on today and will let you know if i come across any problems

    Hey everyone,

I searched drivers for the windows 8 32 bit but couldn't find any...

    Thanks a lot.
    Sincerely,

There's been an update for OSX ML which addresses the issue for installing Windows 8 on bootcamp.
It's NOT recommended that you Upgrade.. However, the way to get the drivers is:
You'll need an external USB drive formatted as FAT for this.
    1) In OSX, start the Bootcamp Assistant
    2) Press Next
    3) UNTICK 'Remove WIndows 7 or Later Version'
    4) TICK Download the Latest Windows Support Software from Apple
    5) Insert USB drive
    6) Press CONTINUE
The drivers should download, and copy a WIndowsSupport folder onto the USB drive.
I did notice that Windows 8 still requires beta drivers for some aspects such as VGA (the Radio HD Card), which you can get on the AMD website.
Futhermore, why are you using Windows 8 "32" bit when you blatently have a powerful 64bit?
Anyway, hope this post helps ;-)

  • Windows Update installed the drivers for the wrong sound card?

I need serious help with this one.
It all started October 31st when I find that Windows Update lists an update for my sound card - a Sound Blaster Li've! 24bit internal card. I install it, reboot, and realize that my sound is not coming through the speakers (Note, sound was working before I installed this update. I'm not even sure if the sound card is processing to it). I realized that Windows Update seemed to have installed the drivers for the wrong sound card. It installed drivers for "SB Audigy" (it was originally SB Li've!), why they chose to be so generic - I don't know. I later find out that not even Creative's website has this updated driver, but apparently, only Windows Update is issuing this out.
But wait, it gets even more frustrating.
So I don't have System Restore enabled (big resource hog), and I need to go back to the older drivers. I originally do a driver rollback using the Device Manager, which made the drivers go back to what they were before - but still wasn't outputting sound. I think even though the older drivers were being used by Windows, the software that Creative issued wasn't picking up this fact and thought I still using the newer ones for Audigy. So I decided to uninstall everything and start with an actual driver installation executable from Creative's website (SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe). What I found out was that if new drivers are detected, I can't actually install over them.
However, if I uninstall the drivers using the Device Manager, it'll automatically install everything - the control panel, the preferences, drivers, etc for the new "SB Audigy" drivers that were issued Oct 3st once I scan for hardware changes. The reason I need to scan for hardware changes is because if I uninstall the drivers from the Device Manager, it'll remove the instance of "SB Audigy" from the list. This causes problems for the installer for the older drivers (SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe) because now it thinks there isn't any hardware to install the drivers for (all because I haven't made the Device Manager actually discover my actual sound card, yet unless I press "Scan for Hardware changes" which as a result, will install the newer drivers from Oct 3st automatically. I hope this makes sense so far).
So now I can't uninstall the newer incorrect drivers so I can install the older ones for the actual sound card. Normally I heard that you can change something in the new driver's installation executable to properly uninstall everything. Only problem is, Windows Update doesn't exactly tell you where it's downloading the driver/hardware installation files. I know in the Software Distribution you can find Windows Update stuff downloading there - but I couldn't find the SB Audigy driver update it keeps installing while "scanning for hardware changes" in the Device Manager.
This was incredibly hard to put into detail, so I hope that it makes a little bit of sense. If you need clarification on anything please let me know and I'll do anything to help eliminate the problem. Just remember I have:
    Windows 7 x64
    Sound Blaster Li've! 24bit
I think the only problem I'd like to solve is - how could I install older drivers if Windows keeps installing the newer ones even after I uninstall them? Because right now, I can't do much unless I know how to get rid of the installation files for the Oct 3st update so it won't have anything to use. Another way to rephrase the question is, how could I get the Device Manager in Windows to display my soundcard as "Multimedia Audio Controller" for as long as I need so I can run SB24_PCDRV_LB__04_0090.exe which will then detect that there is a sound card that can use the drivers and install them properly?
Thanks for your help guys, I hope we can solve this. Because I've done everything I could. Hopefully I don't need to reinstall the operating system just so I can have sound working.

Click on Start> ALL Programs > Creative > Creative Audio Console.
Make sure speakers are set to 5. if that's what you're using. I like to Synchronize with Windows Control Panel. Turn EAX to No effects, and/or turn effects to 0%. On the CMSS 3D Tab, turn the Mode to OFF.

The NI 445x DSA cards are supported by the NI-DAQ 6.9.1 driver currently available on the web at www.ni.com and follow the downloads link. You will also want to use the NI-DSA driver to program the NI-445x board which is also available at the download site.

I'm trying to get my iSight built into my MacBook Pro to work in my virtual computer run on my Mac using Parallels Desktop 4 on and the virtual operating system is Windows XP. So the drivers need to be Windows compatible. I don't want to have to use a third party external camera when I have a built in one. The iSight will not work on Windows Messenger for Mac so I have to use my Windows operating system to make it work. I have not seen any downloadable drivers for the iSight on the Apple sight that would work for Windows. I would appreciate someone directing me to some if they exist.

Thank you so much for the help. I'm running Snow Leopard, so the specific references did not match exactly, but I was able to find my way. I had to finagle trying to get the drivers to load and be recognized by Windows XP, but it eventually did after a couple restarts and a few choice cuss words! Thanks again.
