I'm making a video of extreme sports with a song of the dubstep genre. The image is according to the rhythm of the song in the video use the techniques of slow motion andreverse to give a touch of crazy to dubstep. But I would like to have another technique or effect of which can be used, like these two, here I fails a video which inspired me,

The video you linked to above is of very good quality, not because of effects (it does not have any, apart from slow motion, that is used extensively), but because of two things:
- great camera work (the positioning and movement of the camera is excellent)
- original footage is of good quality and - this is very important - filmed at 60p, which allows for slow-mo without having to "invent" frames.
Try to the capture the best footage you can possibly get with the gear you have. That's far more important than effects.

You get all the technical names in the place of descriptions,

Hello,
ODI is an ELT product and not a Reporting one.
To work correctly with this tool you need good knowledge about Databases ans SQL.
About the market I can't answer you, I know that a new ODI major release will go out in 2009 and i think that all will depend on, this release is announced as totally different of the last one.
Essbase is one of the technology which is managed by the product, I don't really see the need for planning knowledge...
In ODI you can work with different DB, coding in SQl or directly in OS language, Java or Jython which are the only accepted language (if i'm right).

Need effect/transition for stills in Premiere Pro

Need an effect to use with stills/slides in Premiere Pro CC. I'd like slides to drift into frame, settle on top of each other and appear to form a pile. These scenes will be intercut with video source.
I'd hate to try reinvent a wheel which may already be out there.
Any suggestions appreciated. Thanks.

That is a LOT easier in After Effects.
However, if you put the stills in a different sequence so you can put a little white background around them, you can then use the nested sequence as a slide that can be set to motion with keyframes. And as stated, you can copy and paste the keyframes to get you to the same place each time, then just slightliy adjust the ending location to create the illusion of a pile.
Or, to skip the nested issue, use Photoshop to put the border around the image, perfectly sized for your needs before you bring them into Premiere Pro.
However, if you do use the nested sequences, some of the images can be stills, but then some of them can be video, that can then be set to run normally, within the framed border. Just a thought. Start with one copy that has a hold frame at the begining and then replace it with the running video.

I have been struggling with Premiere Elements daily for about six weeks. Virtually nothing works as expected. I have completed training. I have asked here. I have used the Adobe Chat feature. I have reinstalled the software. I have optimized my hard drive. (I have no problems editing videos with Windows Movie Maker Live with this same computer.)
I have to assume there is something wrong with my hardware configuration or the way the PE11 is set up on my computer. (Either that or PE11 is crap, and I'm really leaning towards this latter explanation.)

Now, if you DID Delete your Prefs file, as ATR instructed, and it became instantly corrupted, I would survey your I/O sub-system, I.e. your HDD's, in case there is some issue there, that is causing corruption.
Some Adobe users seem to need to refresh their Prefs files often (used by several Adobe programs), but in 20 years of heavy use, I have had to do so only once in Photoshop, and that was when another program crashed my system during a Save, and have never had to do so with any version of Premiere (the original Premiere, Premiere Pro or Premiere Elements). Maybe I have just been very lucky. Pref files can become corrupt, but not all that often - I would fear that something was wrong somewhere.
1. The support rep didn't charge me the $39. I asked him how I was supposed to pay, and he said, no charge. I have no idea why.
That was a kind gesture, and I am glad to hear of it. I know that Adobe has been working on both Customer Support and Technical Support, so perhaps that tech rep was trying to do their part. Good news.
2. About a week ago, a support rep on chat told me that PE11 didn't work with the iPhone. So I've been jumping through hoops to reformat my files before bringing them in to PE11. After deleting the preference file, PE11 worked with my .mov file (iPhone 5 video) just fine. Go figure.
Where iPhone footage CAN be an issue, is if the device uses Variable Frame-Rates, when recording. I first started seeing that, with the iPhone 4S (could have been before, but I did not read of it), and then more with the iPhone 5. Personally, I do not know when the Variable Frame-Rate is invoked - maybe when shooting high-motion, that then slows, or stops? Maybe others can tell you more about the devices?
If your iPhone footage is NOT Variable Frame-Rate, then PrE should have no issues with it. Just remember to shoot in Landscape Mode, and not Portrait.
Many users, with iPhone 5's, have found that if they Open their Variable Frame-Rate footage in Apple's QuickTime Pro (a US$ 29 upgrade/unlock), then Export to MOV or MP4 w/ the H.264 CODEC, that resultant footage will be a Constant Frame-Rate, and will then Import fine, into PrE. There are probably other workflows, but the QT Pro method has become popular with the PrPro crowd.

Need effect Equipment Deletion with Install Base

Hello Experts,
I marked one equipment for deletion at ECC GUI & the same effect been moved to CRM web channel via middleware.
But now my requirement is i need to mark a deletion & inactive indicator at same Install base automatically when i mark the equipment for deletion indicator.
First of all suggest if there is any standard available for this requirement & if not tell me how to develop this.
NOTE: Main aim here is to restrict any Complaint/repair order creation to be created for the duplicate equipment/ibase record done by the user end.

Yes that is true. If you connect the G4 to the AirPort Extreme base station (AEBS) via Ethernet you do not need an AirPort card installed.

I have a visual C runtime error stopping my pse elements 10 running in win 8.1. I am not a techie so am looking for a very clear way to resolve teh issue without needing too much technical ability. Can anyone help?

I had been using my elements 10 for much of the day so do not know what I have done to upset it! I was starting up again and it began to load then offered me this line of script re a 'runtime error'. That means nothing to me except that it no longer works. I have had a peek on Google and see various suggested fixes from sources I don't know whether to trust. Also some fixes give a list of do's that to a non techie like me are not followable. Can anyone offer me some understandable guidance so I can get back to playing with my photos?

HT2490 my audio volume control defaults to mute whenever I start the computer. Preference settings have no effect. Technical support couldn't help.

Audio preference settings continually default to minimum with Mute ticked whenever I start up.
Technical support could not help desite 30 minutes or more of trying various approaches.
The technician "proved" that it is a system issue and not an individual "user" setting that is affecting the computer.
Any ideas about what is causing the problem and how it might be fixed?

Thanks for the inquiry and feed-back. Tech support advised me to unlock the preference dialog box when I was logged in as the administrator. We changed the volume setting to mid-way on the scale and rebooted but the volume preferences reset to minimum volume with Mute ticked. He also had me try what I assume is a reset of defaults on boot-up. I held the Command/Option/P keys and operated the power on switch, then immediately held down the R key which put the computer through a different start up sequence. Once again the volume was muted and indicated minimum when I checked. No luck either when we created a New User account and set the volume control to mid-way as previously mentioned. Other approaches he suggested were too involved for me to accurately relate but involved deletion of some files associated with the sound system. No joy which is why I have sought other advice. Thanks anyway for your interest!

I need effective perspective correction.

I I take architectural in Sony's .SR2 Raw format. One of my photos does not seem to be correctable in LR 3 - there are no horizontals.
I think it needs a 'Force parallel' plugin such in DxO Optics and the Altostorm one I use in CS2. Any suggestions?

So how good are LR's perspective controls at correcting both vertical and horizontal perspective? The below image is the original 17mm image corrected using LRs controls, Vertical +20, Horizontal +27, Rotate +.3, and Scale 87. The second image was shot at a much further distance using 40mm focal length with no LR perspective correction. Interestingly I obtained the best results (i.e. closest match to the 40mm image) using NO lens distortion correction. With Lens Distortion correction applied in the 17mm image, elongation is increased and the roof to the right slanted downward when all other lines were parallel. From past experience I have found most images shot at extreme wide angle look more natural without applying lens distortion correction (i.e. barrel distortion), for this very reason. I rarely use it and leave the default at 0% for all my lenses. I only apply it on images with visible distortion, which are very few.
17mm with LR corrections
40mm with NO LR corrections
The LR corrected 17mm image is virtually identical to the flat perspective 40mm image. Their is of course visible elongation in the light at the upper left and other areas of the 17mm image, but you're not going to be able to change that with PC2 or C1 either! If you would like to try the below picture is a fully uncorrected image exported outof LR with the same size and settings as the above pictures:

    I have installed Microsoft SQL server 2012 enterprise edition. But under Start-> Microsoft SQL Server it is not showing option of Data Quality Services (DQS). I read in tutorial, to install DQS i need DQSinstaller.exe. But is
is not available in my version.
   My work -
         I have to validate my database columns. e.g. There is name column and it contain integer. I have to detect such rows. I read in tutorial, DQS is providing such facility to validate data.
is DQS really solve my problem?
I need to check out, We dont have support in DQS here. Please help..

1. DQS can do some data type checks with a rule, yes.
You can also do RegEx pattern matching for fancier logic in a DQS Rule.
I think you can do TSQL to do rudimentary pattern searching
For example to search for a number digit in a column

2. Yes, you need to select the Data Quality Services and Data Quality Client at the time when the SQL SETUP is run to get the start menu icons.

If it is a cluster, you cannot add features afterwards. If it is a standalone (not clustered I mean) you can add features by running the SQL 2012 setup again from the Add/Remove programs.
DQS is only in Enterprise, BI, and Developer editions however. If unsure of your version you can query SELECT @@VERSION in the SQL Database Engine to see, or look in management studio at the server name properties in the Object Explorer pane while connected
to SQL Database Engine.

Is the BlackBerry security features needed/effective?

I noticed there's the Wipe Handheld function is said to prevent any recovery of data from the BlackBerry at all, and Content Protection prevents data from being accessable from any other device. Can someone explain;
1)What happens in Wipe Handheld?
2)How would one even go about recovering data after a reset?
3)How does Content Protection work in the first place?
