Need Flat file for Message type DELINS
Hi Experts,
It possible to see the flat file for the Message type DELINS ,, If needed means please say how it can view..
Advance thanks..>My need is to convert the EDI format into SAP.
As far as I know EDI can be read by SAP as Idoc directly without conversion. At least I would try this.
I checked in WE20 /partner profiles/ for outbound parameters there is a tab called 'EDI standards' and here you can define the EDI parameters. However there is no such tab for inbound processing.
What I would do /using transaction code SALE/
- define logical systems
- assign the received to the client
- create RFC port for Idoc processing
- create distribution model with the correct message type
- create port as file
- define or generate partner profiles
Try to upload sample files via transaction WE19 or WE16.
You can try to debug the inbound processing and write a program based on that, which could be scheduled as a background job.
I had a program doing similar, but it was another message type and it was XML based, however the FMs I used are the following:
'EDI_PORT_READ' - read port definition
'EPS_GET_DIRECTORY_LISTING' - get the file names in the dir
'EDI_DATA_INCOMING' - process idocs
Hope it helps.

Hi friends,
I need help do develop a new interface using IDOC -> FLAT FILE scenario.
Please send exemples and links.
In found only XML file formats, i need FLAT FILE.
Thanks,
Marconew interface using IDOC -> FLAT FILE scenario.
idoc to flat file scenario is very simple but you have to provide FCC Parameters in Receiver File Communication channel based on target structure and remain ecvery thing is same what was you found idoc to xml scenario.
ex for Fcc Parameters in Receiver File Communication channel :

RFC - - Flat File (IDOC Format)
Hi,
I need flat file in IDOC(INVOIC02) format from the AR invoice in SAP R/3. We don't want to create IDOC's in SAP R/3. So We need to get the data from R/3 via RFC with EDIDC & EDIDD structures and map it to IDOC in XI. The second mapping would be from IDOC to Flat file.
Did anybody has done the mapping from EDIDD table to IDOC's? If so can you please share some mapping screen shots.
Thanks.
SriniHi,
As I have understood your scenario, you plan to send data from R3 in non-IDOC format, probably through RFC. This could be ABAP Proxy as well. And on receiver end, you need a flat structure file accepting this data.
For this case, you dont need two mappings as you mentioned. You could treat this as RFC - File scenario or Proxy - File scenario and perform the mapping accordingly.
Let me know if I have misunderstood your problem or if you need more elaboration on solution.
Thanks,
Bhavish

Hi Experts,
We are working on a Cross System RAR scenario using 3 systems, to check the Violations. Of the three two are oracle and Peoplesoft and another would be SAP one.
In order to test this scenario , we need flat files in the format so that we can build it on our own and the same can be uploaded for peoplesoft or oracle systems through the Configuration setting as a legacy system data.
Can you Please help us to get the flat file format.
Regards,
GurugobindaI know that SAP offers an attractive migration plan from Peoplesoft to HCM, but a standard mapping for various external non-SAP application's data models to GRC functions with actions and permissions I have not seen yet.
To date I have only concentrated on important non-SAP applications when there was a reason to include a small selection of functions from them --> web based purchasing and contract management systems. If you do this without going overboard, you can easily just enter the data in the application.
Perhaps Gurugobinda wants us to actually go get the data from their non-SAP system... We also have to find out which type of application software it is, on which os and db, how it is configured and any custom "exits" or fields used, and how it is integrated with other communication partners, possibly also mapping external user ID's.
We each have $ 5000 cash to start with, a laptop, a compass and a piece of string.
@ Gurugobinda: You need to go talk to these people. Tell them which data you want and ask them to deliver the data with fields you can map to what GRC does with it. I would try to keep this non-SAP part as simple as possible.
Cheers,

Need to create sale order from the flat file & mail has to be sent
Hi Experts,
I have a requirement to create a sale order from a flat file and once the oder is created, mail has to be sent to customer as well as to internal user with the order details. I want to know how this process can be implemented and what adapters are needed to execute this.
it would be very helpful, if i get an step-by-step procedure.
Points assured for any helpful answers.
Thanks in Advance
JaiHI Jai,
You need to create two interfaces as file will be sending the Sales oreder details that you need to capture in IDOC or RFC and then have to trigger to create the sales order. For this Standard BAPIs are also available.
These RFC or BAPIs will response with Sales order details that you need to divert to Mail adapter with the use of BPM and also have to go for Async to Sync bridge.
File -
>XI (BPM) ---> BAPI/RFC (Request)
MailAdapter <- XI (BPM) <--- BAPI/RFC (Response)
For this refer below links for step by step

https://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/sdn/weblogs?blog=/pub/wlg/1403 [original link is broken] [original link is broken] [original link is broken] - Use of Synch - Asynch bridge in ccBPM
If you will use IDOC then In IDOC inbound processing you need to trigger for Sales order creation and then have to send the Sales Order generated IDOC as an Outbound to Mail Adapter
Flat file -
> XI ---> IDOC
IDOC -
> XI ---> Mail
This will be bit easy scenario to develope as compare to using BAPI with BPM

Need to read a field from flat file
Hi All,
In flat file i have one field which may contain 100 enteries separated by delimanator ',' (comma). There can be 1 , 10 or 100 enteries. I need to put them in the internal table . Please suggest me .
I have used the below logic .
i split the field in 100 variables and then appending the internal table . the problem here is even if there is only one entry , the logic will append 99 blank enteries . so can any one suggest , is there any other way do it . any Functon Modules available .
Thanks.Hi Chetan,
If i understand your requirement it is as below,
Flat file.
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,....
1,2,3,4,5,6,7,8,9,....
1,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,
Now you read the first line and split into an itab of type string, and you are worried about the third line where not all the fields have values and end up creating blank entries. to fix this, simply
Sort the Itab, and use delete itab statement with the where clause as where column is ''.
This should solve it.
types: begin of t_data,
line type string,
end of data.
data: li_file_line type standard table of t_data.
split l_file_line at ',' into li_file_line.
delete li_file_line where line = ''. -
IDOC to Flat File and XML ( Need both the Output)
Hi ,
My Scenario is IDOC to File .
I need o/p in 2 format . ie, 1) Flat File 2 ) XML file
I have a plan to go with Interface determination , 2 IM and what shd be the condition ?
or Else 2 Receiver detmination but condition ?
How to slove this ?
Need the Output from Idoc in 2 format ( Flat file and XML file )
Any Blog , Thread ...Tips...etc
Regards,
JudeHi Jude,
Do like this:
1. Create two inbound Service Interface (with the same target Message Type)
2. Create separate Operation mapping with the above service interfaces as target (with the same source service interface)
3. Create Interface Determination and include these two operation mapping (without any condition)
4. Create 2 receiver agreement (with two separate communication channel) for each of the target service Inetrface. In one channel use content conversion and the other one will give you normal XML output

Export table to flat file and need to insert sysdate in flat file column
Hi, I created an interface to export oracle table to a csv file. All of the table columns are working well. Then I need to insert the sysdate in csv file column.
I made the mapping as working in staging area, implementation is to_char(sysdate,'dd/mm/yyyy'). But the result is insert 14 to the column.
I have tried to create a variable refreshing as select to_char(sysdate,'dd/mm/yyyy') from dual, then mapping that to the column in csv file, but it only insert to 1 row and the format is yyyymmdd.
I have tried to use SELECT '<%=odiRef.getSysDate( "yyyyMMdd")%>' from dual for the variable, and it also only insert one row to the flat file.
I used the same methodology in ODI10g, it works fine.
So, I am wondering how it can be implemented in 11g.
ThanksThe first option you have stated seems like the obvious choice - I don't see any reason why this shouldn't work. What do you mean by "But the result is insert 14 to the column." Do you mean that it inserted the string "14" (I can't imagine why this would be the case) or that it inserted 14 rows?

Hello , i have a flat file scenario : XML to RFC and response back to xml , in which case i have a more complex scenario.
Instead of calling RFC multiple times i need to call RFC multiple times through a BPM loop through one xml with duplicated strcutures how is it possible please help me
KrishnaHi ,
Just More info-
Actually if you do the occurence as 0-n then you will be having structure like this-
<Messages>
<Message1>
<Source>
<Header> </Header> (1..1)
<Line> </Line> (1..1)
</Source>
<Source>
<Header> </Header> (1..1)
<Line> </Line> (1..1)
</Source>
</Message1>
<Message1>
<Source>
<Header> </Header> (1..1)
<Line> </Line> (1..1)
</Source>
<Source>
<Header> </Header> (1..1)
<Line> </Line> (1..1)
</Source>
</Message1>
</Messages>
In this case you have multiple Message1 under Messages node. So now it is N number of messages under one tag.
For your scenario, you can try like this-
1) No need of changing any occurence anywhere.
2) Use BPM -mentioned in my earlier reply
I think it will work without 1:N or N:1 mapping Because in your case there is no multiple messages, but you have multiple occurences of each set. So I think you can easily handle with parForEach loop.
For eg. on ParForEach -

Need help in laoding flat file data, which has \r at the end of a string
Hi There,
Need help in loading flat file data, which has \r at the end of a string.
I have a flat file with three columns. In the data, at the end of second column it has \r. So because of this the control is going to the beginning of next line. And the rest of the line is loading into the next line.
Can someone pls help me to remove escape character \r from the data?
thanks,
ragHave you looked into the sed linux command? here are some details:
When working with txt files or with the shell in general it is sometimes necessary to replace certain chars in existing files. In that cases sed can come in handy:
1 sed -i 's/foo/bar/g' FILENAME
The -i option makes sure that the changes are saved in the new file – in case you are not sure that sed will work as you expect it you should use it without the option but provide an output filename. The s is for search, the foo is the pattern you are searching the file for, bar is the replacement string and the g flag makes sure that all hits on each line are replaced, not just the first one.
If you have to replace special characters like a dot or a comma, they have to be entered with a backslash to make clear that you mean the chars, not some control command:
1 sed -i 's/./,/g' *txt
Sed should be available on every standard installation of any distribution. At lesat on Fedora it is even required by core system parts like udev.
If this helps, mark as correct or helpful. -

Need to create a flat file source system in bi?
Hi all,
i need to load the data from a flat file to an ods? can anyone pls tell me the steps to create the flat file source system in bi?
ThanksHello,
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw70/helpdata/en/43/01ed2fe3811a77e10000000a422035/content.htm
http://help.sap.com/saphelp_nw04s/helpdata/en/80/1a6581e07211d2acb80000e829fbfe/frameset.htm
steps:
create source system file (if you haven't)
- create ods
- create update rules for ods and activate
- create infosource
- assign infosource with datasource (source system file)
- maintain transfer rules - maintain infoobject in sequence as flat file to transfer structure. map infoobject in transfer rules. activate transfer rules
- create update rules ods-infosource and activate
- create infopackage, specify external data path (recommended file put in application server)
hope this helps.

Hi Experts.
I need the Idoc flat file for Delfor01(delivery schedule).
Advance Thanks.Hi Bala,
Follow the procedure
IDOC to XML Convertion using ALE Interface
1) Send an outbound IDOC data(MATMAS) to a flat file(XML) on client1(SENDER).
- Create File Port (WE21) of XML Type for outbound file.
- Specify the Physical directory and file under the Outbound File tab
- Maintain Distribution Model (BD64) for sender ->receiver system.
- Create Partner Profile (WE20) for logical system.
- You can use this program RBDSEMAT (t/code BD10) to generate IDoc MATMAS file(s).
_ Then you can FTP the file(s) to receiver system.
2) Upload the flat file as an IDOC on the inbound sytem
which is Client2(RECIEVER).
- Create File Port (WE21) for inbound file.
- Maintain Distribution Model (BD64) for receiver -> sender system.
- Create Partner Profile (WE20) for logical system.
- You can use this program RSEINB00 to upload IDoc MATMAS file(s).
