The model 7,1 is actually the Mid 2010 MacBook and is the only MacBook with a Mini DisplayPort that sends audio along with the video, Here's some Mini DisplayPort to HDMI with audio adapters from Amazon.

  • Https / SSL needed for my website

I hope someone can help me.
    I have a website
    http://www.to-shea.com
I purchased a SSL package from register.com (they host my
site too). They told me "anyone who sees my site would see the
https prefix. I received an email from them stating that they could
not put the https prefix on my site, although it is on their secure
servers. needless to say, I was quite upset. Anyone on the web
knows that an https prefix means it is a secure site. Is there ANY
thing I can do to fix this problem. (it only cost me $28.00)
Is there a program I can use to force the https prefix.
I am on a Mac (OSX) and I use Dreamweaver CS3. I am a LITTLE
familiar with html code but not a alot.
    Can someone there help me???

What exactly are you asking a question about?
https and SSL are usually only used for secure transfer of
    information when
ordering and sending sensitive information. You do not want
    people viewing
the web site using https and not completing an order to be in
    https SSL
because it slows things down. It involves encoding/decoding
    of everything in
    the page including graphics.
In other words- I shop at the site. I add things to the cart.
    I am viewing
the site in http until it's time to check out and i am asked
    for my card
    numbers.
Does the certificate not work or throw an error?
Do you understand how to change links from https to http?
When to use http or https?
And if you want to force https, what is the server side
    scripting language.
    What's the question please.

  • Need for blog website Framework

    Hello,
I am quite new to JSP, and I have been ask to develop a blog website with jsp.
Can someone tell me what is the best jsp framework to develop a website where people can create blogs.
    thanks

If you're new, you should not be using any framework at all. Try to get it done with servlets, JSPs & JSTL only. Once you've done a project or two, then start looking at frameworks. You'll probably choose one that doesn't use JSPs at all.

  • Beginner question for Internal website

Can the internal website be set up so that someone outside the company's intranet can log in?  Our company has need for a website to distribute information to all employees, many of whom are not users of the company intranet.  We have Small Business
    Server 2011.
Sorry for the naive question, can't find a clear answer to this question.
    Roy Lambertson

You can set them up a user account, that can only access the Intranet. (Companyweb)
Then have them go straight to https://remote.yourdomain.com:987

guest password request for purplecat website in oakland california 192.168.33.112

I have the same errors occurring at an alarming rate. I did isolate it to the App Store. Specifically when checking for an update. I was hoping that you could test this out for me. Go to your console log and select all messages and then check kernel in the sender box (bottom left). I found that now is a good time to insert a marker. Now launch the app store then got to the update section. Select check for update.
Does this generate a series of the errors? I can reproduce the errors every time I "check for updates". The error would not show up when checking for updates in iTunes.
I did notice errors in both extending from CFNetwork
    App store:
    2015-01-15 8:40:38.047 AM storeassetd[356]: CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9802)
    iTunes
    2015-01-15 8:53:53.986 AM iTunes[2200]: CFNetwork SSLHandshake failed (-9806)
Please compare and see if you get the same results.

  • HT204053 what operating system is needed for icloud

I have an older operating system and wanted to know if Snow Leopard was needed for current versions of ICloud. If so, what would be the best way to get the Snow Leopard Operating System?

Snow Leopard is not compatible with iCloud except that you can set up Mail to access the emails on an existing iCloud account. You can also do this on Leopard or Tiger.
The minimum requirement for iCloud is Lion 10.7.2 and iOS5.

  • What kind of virus and malware protection do I need for my new iMac?

I am new to Apple computers, what virus or malware protection do I need?

    Agreed, please read Thomas's guide!
As a general rule of thumb though, no additional software is needed for malware or virus protection.  Apple computers are incredibly secure, the best protection is running Software Update often and not downloading from illegal software from torrent sites. Other than that, OS X is incredibly secure and best left alone to run well.

  • This server does not have the module needed for interpreting traces

I wan to use the Trace Control function of the Exchange Troubleshooting Assistant. I specifically want to look at the transactions of a particular user. When starting the function I get the message, "This server does not have the module needed for interpreting traces." I find nothing to tell me what the module is or where to get it.
Specifically, I have a Macintosh user (bigwig in my organization) that insists on using Apple's 10.6 Calendar program, and constantly complains that his calendars are different between his 3 Macs and his iPhone. He claims to have put a calendar item on one machine, now it appears nowhere. And I have no way of proving what is going wrong. He hates Outlook and refuses to use it, he hates Entourage and refuses to use it. The local database for Entourage kept getting fouled up to the point that we kept having to delete this account and readding it to force the recreation of the database. The database tool never fixed the problems and of course he did a lot of customization that got destroyed every time we deleted the account settings and added them back.
I really want to run the tool for a while and see if there is actually some transaction actually happening on the server side, so I would like to have these traces and be able to view them.

  • How do I know what battery I need for my MacBook Pro?

Hello, Is there a way to find out what model the battery is that I need for my MacBook Pro without tearing it apart? I have the serial number and also the Hardware UUID, whatever that is. If I have to tear it apart I will, but I'm hoping to keep that to a minimum as I'm afraid to tempt fate!

skink - thanks for the kind words.
Depending on your model (check under the Apple menu, "About This Mac", "More Info...", "System Report..." and tell me your Model Identifier. Mine, for instance, says (under Hardware Overview):
    Hardware Overview:
    Model Name:    MacBook Pro
    Model Identifier:    MacBookPro8,2
Depending on your model, a 'good' number of cycles might be as low as 300 or as high as 1,000. But if the condition is "normal," as you say (and as mine reads) you really shouldn't have anything to worry about.
If it's a battery that needs to be replaced by an Apple tech, it's 'built-in,' meaning you can't just turn it over and change the battery (such was the case with my 2006 1,1 model and some models after that).
It's always good to keep an eye on battery health and to use some methods of keeping your CPU load at a minimum when using battery power. Viewing movies, whether in the DVD player or those that are on your computer, will really tax your CPU and result in lower battery life. To maximize your battery life, try to have as few apps open as possible when under battery power - particularly those that drain your CPU. You can keep and eye on this by keeping Activity Monitor, in your Utilities folder, open at all times. If you see a process that's taking 10+% of your CPU load, that's an app you should close or at least keep an eye on - my Firefox browser will sometime get in the 13% range, but I don't worry about that.
Battery use is, for me, primarily about Internet browsing and email. I keep open Firefox, Outlook, Activity Monitor, Word, Acrobat, Word, TextEdit, and a few other small apps and I generally get 7+ hours on battery time.
I would also suggest using two little utilities to keep an eye on battery usage - one is "Battery Health" available at the App Store free. The other is gfxCardStatus which will let you use discrete graphics, changing your GPU to the less intensive processor. It's available at http://codykrieger.com/gfxCardStatus and is "Mountain Lion ready" as of it's latest release.
Good luck - see how many more hours you can eke out of that battery before thinking about having it replaced. As much as I use mine, I know that I'm going to go over the 1,000 cycle mark before my AppleCare expires, so I know that I'm going to have to get it replaced. But for now, I'm getting the advertised hours and am quite happy.
    Regards,
    Clinton

How many cert I need to buy???
[internet] <-->  [TMG]   <--> [Lync edge]
                                                 [Lync front end]
is it correct to buy this two cert. (then what's the function for)
    Cert 1 for TMG
    Lyncrproxy.abc.com (for
    Reverse Proxy???)
    Meet.abc.com (for web conference)
    Dailin.abc.com (for phone??)
    Lyncweb.abc.com (for ???)
    Lyncdiscover.abc.com (for Mobility client setup)
    Cert 2 for Lync edge
    Sip.abc.com (for SIP Access)
Lyncwebconf.abc.com (for Web Conferencing Edge service)
    Lyncav.abc.com (for A/V service)
    Thanks

You can use one cert across the Edge and Reverse Proxy as follows:-
sip.abc.com - Lync Access (use as subject name and assign to Edeg Access) (Edge)
Lyncweb.abc.com - For distribution Group and addressbook service (TMG)

meet.abc.com - Web conferencing meet URL (TMG)

The simplest way of requesting this cert is from the Lync Deployment Wizard on the Lync Edge Server. Be sure to marek the request as exportable so the cert can be exported from Edge and imported to TMG.
