I need help deauthorizing all computers

I have already tried to find the answer to this question in the FAQs, but the option to deauthorize all computers once I sign in on iTunes didn't show up. I do have 5 computers authorized at this point though because it says "5 out of 5 computers successfully authorized." I have the 15 inch MacBook Pro with retina display.

Open up your Account Information (if you're using iTunes 12, click on your name in the menu bar just right of center, pull down to account info).
In the first section of the box that opens up it shows "computer authorizations."  It will show how many, as well.  To the right is a click box that reads "Reauthorize All."  If you really want to do that, click it.  That SHOULD take care it.
If that doesn't work, chat with support online.  They can even log onto your computer and do it for you, if necessary.  Good luck!

    Just got a new logic board installed on my 3+ year old machine and it's not letting me sync my iPhones. It says I'm only allowed to authorize 5 computers to my account. It asks me to "deauthorize" some of the older ones in order for my current machine to be "authorized." Anyone know how to find the list of machines I've used over the past 10 years so I can attempt "deauthorization?"

    Deauthorizing all is definitely the way to go.  You will just need to authorize your computer again after, as well as your husband's.

    Yes. Deauthorizing all computers simply clears the link between all computers and a particular iTunes sign-on ID. Once you re-authorize any computer you want associated with that iTunes ID again, then that ID will be able to download and play songs purchased by that ID in the iTunes library on the computer that has been authorized to it.
    The only thing you need to remember is that a "Deauthorize All" function can only be done for a particular Apple/iTunes ID once a year.

    What is the exact message, and when do you see it? You don't need to deauthorize anything to register an iPhone.
    You can deauthorize all computers by going to your Account settings in iTunes and clicking "deauthorize all". But that won't solve your problem, because your problem has nothing to do with the number of computers authorized.

    Whether you can redownload previous purchases depends upon the type of item (audiobooks and ringtones are one-time only downloads), what country that you are in (music, films, TV shows can't be redownloaded in all countries), and whether the item is still in your country's store (content providers occasionally remove their items) - what you can redownload will show under the Purchased link under Quicklinks on the right-hand side of the iTunes store homepage
    Or you should be able to copy purchases back from your iPod via the File > Devices > Transfer Purchases menu option (if the drop-down menus aren't showing then control-B should get them to show).
    If you have music from other sources on your iPod (e.g. copied from CDs) then there are some programs listed half-way down this page which should be able to copy them back : https://discussions.apple.com/docs/DOC-3991
    Or do you have a copy of them anywhere else e.g. on your backup of your downloads/library that you can copy them onto your new computer from ?

    Sorry, not sure how to screenshot on my computer, but this is what is says word for word:-
    The Ipad could not b synced because the computer is not longer authorised for purchased items that are on this ipad.
    To authorise this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store>Authorise this computer.
    I have done all of that but not luck.  That's when I tried deauthorising all computer which it did ok.  I then authorised my Macbook pro again, it said I had one computer now authorised.  I tried to delete apps via Itunes then sync to my iPad, but the above message keeps popping up & it wont do what I want.

    Are you upgrading from an existing iPhone? Back up old phone, then restore new phone with the cable. I had to do this a number of time to get all my purchases across.
