I have both the silver discs specific to my iMac and Mac Pro models that you receive with your Mac, and a general copy of Snow Leopard that you buy from the store.
I used the silver disc that is specific for my iMac to install the drivers, and Boot Camp 3.0 on my iMac. But with the Mac Pro, the software is older and only has Boot Camp 2.0, thus I'm wondering if I can simply use the software on the general copy of Snow Leopard I own, or does the silver disc contain specific drivers for my Mac Pro that I need?
I'm under perhaps the wrong impression that the silver discs that you get with your Mac purchase contain drivers for your specific Mac model which you can't get from the general Snow Leopard disc.

Need Help Fixing iTunes and Getting Songs To Play

I have been having trouble with iTunes ever since transferring to a new computer several months ago. Fist of all, a different iTunes downloaded on the new computer that I don't know how to navigate or find anything on (and I HATE it!). After 2 or 3 months I finally figured out how to transfer my songs from the old computer to the new, but was not able to transfer the playlists. Very unhappy with that, but at least was able to put new songs on my iPod again. Today when I went onto iTunes it asked if I wanted to download the new upgrade, so I clicked yes and restarted computer when prompted. After the computer restarted I went back to iTunes and got an error message that said some things were missing and I needed to reinstall iTunes (I don't remember exactly what it said). I didn't know what to do so I Xed out of iTunes and turned it back on. A box asked if I wanted to reinstall and fix iTunes or untinstall -- I clicked the first one, to reinstall and fix and replace what was missing. After that I went back into my iTunes and discovered that most of my songs won't play. I get an error message saying "could not be used because the original file could not be found." I also found it unusual that I have purchased over a hundred songs over the years but when I click on "Purchased Songs" it only lists 20. I have hated iTunes ever since switching from my crashing XP computer to my new Windows 7 computer. Does anyone know how I can get all of my songs to play? Or how I can get my playlists back? when I plugged my iPod in months ago I thought the playlists might transfer to the computer from the iPod, but they didn't. I want to change some of the songs on my playlists and add more but I can't. Now I can't even play most of my songs. I am very distraught! Thank you for any help!!!

As M has noted, the more info that is presented in the question the quicker you will get a constructive answer. No one can read anothers mind. It is an art to write what ones thought are.
I will assume that you mean "default" as being your internal speakers. To change your sound output - assuming that is your question - go to System prefs and select SOUND. If there are any other sound output options then it would be listed and you can make your selection of speakers.

Need Help Fixing A Flash In An Old Photo..

Im working alittle bit with PS Elements 9 and Im having a problem trying to fix an older photo where the flash was to high at the bottom of the image and also theres these white single dots through the lower part of the image as well shown in the cropped image I uploaded. So if theres a way I might be able to fix these 2 things, I appreciate it, thank you

Those white dots are in all channels...there's nothing to find...so the best your going to get is to use a blur technique to fill the white dots. There isn't enough there to get a good result with either the clone stamp or the healing brush.
I got the above by duplicating the image then applying Filter<Noise<Dust/Scratches with a setting of Radius 3;Threshold 7. Next I used Filter<Sharpen<UnSharp Mask with settings of Amount 92; Radius 63; Threshold 0. (These settings worked on the PNG I downloaded from the forum but will likely need some adjustment on your full sized image.)
It's not beautiful but at least it's less distracting than the white dots. I'd recommend using masking so you on|y apply the filters to a limited area. (See next paragraph.)
Since the damage is only to the bottom of your image, add a layer mask to your filtered duplicate image. Grab the gradient tool and set your color chips to the default black and white. (Shortcut is D.) Press X to swap the color chips so that the Black color chip is the foreground color in your tool box. Set your gradient option to the linear gradient type in the options bar and select the black to transparent gradient in your gradient editor presets. Click on the layer mask in your layers palette. Hold your shift key in as you drag the gradient tool over areas of your image you would like to be unfiltered.
(Note: You could have done the above reversed...fill mask with black paint to hide the filtered duplicate image; set the foreground color chip in the tool box to white and drag the white to transparent gradient in the mask to reveal the area you want to filter.)
I'd try to get her curls as the transition area to bring them back a little from the filtered effect. I think the hair ends in my filtered version are a bit too soft. I think you could get away with the neck and her blouse being soft.
Above is the filtered version of your forum upload that is masked to get some texture back into the hair. I used a brush to with black paint to bring back the hair ends. I used Gaussian blur on my mask to soften my transition edges. I went back and used brush to touch up mask as you can tell if you look at the screen grab of the mask for this version shown below. Ends show some spot but I think it's preferable to them being too soft (gooey) as in my first example which is purely filtered.

Rules of masking...
Black masks or hides masked layer...black in my example hides the duplicate layer which has color variations applied...the original image is visible where black appears in the mask.
White areas of mask reveal masked layer...notice the areas in my image corresponding to white areas of the mask are a purple hue...filtered duplicate layer is visible in areas where the mask is white.
Gray areas are semi-transparent...think transition or feathering. You might also call this fading. Darker shades of gray are more opaque (hide more of masked layer...black being fully opaque) while lighter shades of gray are more transparent (reveal more of layer...white being fully transparent). Areas in my example (center portion) gradually transition from the original image to filtered duplicate layer.
Tip 1: You can click that chain between the mask and image to unhook the layer and mask. Click on the mask then use the free transform command (Ctrl + t on PC; Cmd + t on Mac) to adjust the gradient placement in the mask. It's a good idea to click the chain area again and reattach the chain as it keeps you from accidentally moving the area masked.
Tip 2: If you mask the opposite of intended, you can invert the mask to reverse masked areas. (Ctrl + i if using PC; Cmd + i if using a Mac.)

Need help to wipe clean my new-old Mac Pro

My boss just gave me one of the Mac Pro that the company doesn't need anymore.
It's a late 2010 model with Lion (10.7.5) installed.
Took it home give it a nice bath (Metal Polish) and start setting it up for myself.
For some reason even when I got it unbinded from my company's domain it still show all of the disclaimer and warning from my company.
I said to myself, no problem let's just start over fresh. So I rebooted to OSX recovery mode and choose the reinstall option.
After accepting the term and condition it asked me to sign in with the AppleID that was used to "buy" the computer.
I put in the appleID that our company uses for all of our licensing purposes (I work in IT) but the validator does not find any OSX Lion tied to that ID.
The guy that setup this particular Mac was fired over a year ago and I don't know how to find him.
Am I SOL on this? I just want this Mac to go back to the original image so I don't have to feel like I am at work when using it.
ANy suggestion would be appreciated.

Yep, i just did it again. The entire scroll-bar widget, complete with formatted text, graphics, etc., pasted itself nicely in another book. Two different files, the same widget.
I use the scroll-bar widgets for most of my texts. (I have audio buttons on the side, and the scripts are within the widget, to the side). My only text is within widgets, and text boxes, naturally.
I am following your recommendation: cleaning files, etc. I am remaking the book anew. I need to convince the EPUB bot or whatever that my file looks and works nicely on all my devices. You would expect an error message when previewing the book: 'Hey Amigo, your file is flawed, stop working on it, and get back to the drawing board." Should be able to try again next Monday.

Well it all started with Aperture 3 trying to import some photos from my iphone.It took ages to import those photos and like I was in a hurry to finish my work in Illustrator so I tryied to force quit on A3 and it didn´t, so I shut down the computer and started over.it was all ok but I uninstalled the A3 and the I realized the icons were back to original form and a few fonts changed.so I Installed the trial version of A3.I did a restart of the system and then there was.aperture lauching but no dock and a 80% of the icons disappeared, but the names of the files and folder remained.and I cand acces the apps from the apple sign on the left corner.I tried also restarting a few time but it´s always the same.I am a recent user of a mac , and please excuse my bad english.If this is in any way useful please help me!

I have an appointment with a director on Tuesday. I want to demo iTunes U. Problem is I have never used it before and have no idea how to set it up and even if I should sign up.
Please help any ideas regarding iTunes U and how I should direct the meeting tomorrow.
