I Need Help For Setting Up A New Account

So, obviously in Mail, I have my .Mac Account. I would also like to add my MSN hotmail account. There are only a couple of issues. I can't figure out if the hotmail account is POP, IMAP, or Exchange. And on top of that, I don't know what to put after I've chosen one. There is a space where I'm supposed to put the "Incoming mail sever", except, I have no idea what that is. Already have wireless network, need help for set up of time capsule for wired backup only.

Hello all -
I have a time capsule that plugs into wall and used a wireless network to back up computer. It would always mess up internet afterwards so I would unplug the time capsule and reset internet until the next back up. my time capsule now will not link into my computer. It just flashes amber. Spoke with apple and was told to come on here and ask for help for setting up time capsule for a wired backup only and to mention that I have a wireless network.

For starters, please tell us the make and model of the modem/router that you have now that is providing your wireless network.

What is my outgoing mail server for setting up a new account in Mail?

Hi, I'm trying to set up a new account in Mail so that I check my school e-mail from that application and I've figured out what my incoming mail server is, but what where would I find the outgoing mail server if I want to send through Mail?

Ask the company providing you internet juice to get online. If it is Comcast, it typically is smtp.comcast.net or mail.comcast.net. If it is Verizon, it is outgoing.verizon.net. If it is someone else it is some SMTP server that is assigned by the company that you pay your bills to get online with.

Need help with setting up a new iMac

I tried to use Migration Assistant to set up my new iMac. I transferred data from PPB G5 10.5.8 but MA hung at "less than one min. remaining" so I closed the window. Is there any way to erase what has been transferred and start over again with transferring from G5 to iMac? Can I partition the iMac disk to put Boot Camp on one disk so I can use my WIndows applications?

Personally I would just try to Migrate the data again, if it hangs just leave it to it, its more than likely trying to work out where to put the files or even might be re-writting bits of data to move your files from the older OS to the newer OS, given that the file structures are bound to be slightly different. Give it a chance and see how it goes.
As for boot camp as fas as I know it comes with it installed so I don't see any reason you couln't install windows on the iMac, why you would want to it another matter.

Select setup as "New", the next screen should prompt you to rename your phone. Just name it what you already have it named. After that, you should be able to sync and all of your data & settings will still be exactly as you've already set them up on your phone. The message is more threatening than what really happens.

Your images are not stored in the catalog. They are stored in folders on your computer. If you imported images that were already on your computer using the "Add" Option they are still in that same folder. If you imported images from your camera then they are in the folders that you specified when you imported. If you are talking about Safari on the iPad, there is no version of Adobe Flash for iOS and there never has been. Clear Safari, close the app and reset the iPad.
Go to Settings>Safari>Clear History and Website Data
In order to close apps, you have to drag the app up from the multitasking display. Double tap the home button and you will see apps lined up going left to right across the screen. Swipe to get to the app that you want to close and then swipe "up" on the app preview thumbnail to close it.
Reset the iPad by holding down on the sleep and home buttons at the same time for about 10-15 seconds until the Apple Logo appears - ignore the red slider if it appears on the screen - let go of the buttons. Let the iPad start up.

I inadvertently set up a new account on an android and it doesn't match the ID for a Nook. I cannot share library books between the devices, and I can't remember the login I used for the nook. The nook books appear on my bookshelf from the library, but when I try to download to my android, it won't allow it as it is set up as a different account. The library can't help me and Barnes & Noble can't help me. I need support from Adobe to fix my login.

That's simple.
All you have to do is:
From MENU goto SETTINGS, When there scroll down and select 'Restore Factory Setting'.
There are two options in there:
"Restore Settings only"
and
"Restore all"
Select "Restore All"
When done the phone will delete every thing on the Phone memory(C:\)(contacts,picture,messages etc)
and also restore phone to its original settings and will restart.
This proceedure is mostly common on S40 phone.
Hope this explain and solve the problem.

I need help in setting up a wireless connection.
I have a 2005 iMac G5 and currently I am using a Qwest DSL Modem with a Belkin router.
Qwest suggested that I buy a new wireless modem/router. It may be the Motorola 3347 or another wireless modem. I am worried about security when on the internet and have read about changing the SSID password and use the WPA for encryption. All of this is a mystery to me.
Also, I would like to buy from Directv the Linksys wireless adapter to use on my HD-DVR receiver to get their “On Demand Movies.”
My question is, does my iMac G5 have all of the security I need to use a wireless modem, and with the Linksys adapter can I view my photos or DVD’s in iMovie wirelessly to my TV in the living room?
I am concerned about security with a wireless setup, but it seems that all of the new TV’s have the ability to have a wireless connection to the internet.
Any suggestions would help me.
