So why can I not get iTunes working well?? It now takes at least 10 secs for any operation to be completed!
That is just plain evil. But I am sure I could do something to help.
All the music is on an 2T external drive.

Brigancook, is the library database on the external or just the media? iTunes reevaluates smart playlists and rewrites its database after every action on the library. I've found this can make a library half that size, with a lot of smart playlists, quite sluggish. That said I'm aware part of my problem is aging hardware. Having the database on the internal drive may improve performance if it is currently on the external.
I'd expect to see an exponential relationship between size and response time which may explain what you see. Cutting down on the number of smart playlists might help. If we're really lucky the long awaited iTunes 11 might have streamlined some of the background processes as well as cleaning up the front end.

Whenever i go to a website that uses java (like runescape), the window that has the java is all white screen and on the top left side there is a little sheet of paper with a folded corner with a red X on it.
Java doesn't work, please i need help!

Need Help From Audio Pros--fixing pitch

My 13 year old son is a professional singer (yes!). We have a digital video of a recent performance that is a one-time event. The venue had not set-up the monitor correctly and he could not hear himself while singing. In two places, the pitch of a sustained note is a little off.
Is there anyway to fix those notes so we can add this video to his reel? We would love to have it. If this is out of the "Garage Band" realm, please suggest some alternatives. I can send the clip on DVD or post it for download.

You don't specify what kind of a concert it was - I guess it was not just a solo voice, but some kind of band or orchestra. In this case, not even a professional software like Autotune (GB's pitch correction is rather poor) will help you, since you only have a stereo audio file with all instruments and voices mingled together and any change in pitch would influence all the voices. Pitch correction only works on a single track.

I realise that this is probably the wrong place to post this, but I wasn't sure where else to put it.
I have a database file, it's a .fp7 file although I know for sure it was created in FileMaker Pro 8. I have opened it myself in FileMaker Pro 8 now, nd can only find tools for adding/editing/deleting/displaying/finding records. how can I go and edit tables, and view (and print) a list of tables including their fields' properties?

You might need to deactivate Acrobat 9 from your old machine.
Then, install the software from a CD (if you have) and activate with the same serial number.
If you don't have a CD, then you might install Acrobat 9 pro from the below mentioned link:

- If you previously turned on FIndMyiPod on the iPod in Settings>iCloud and wifi is on and connected go to iCloud: Find My iPhone, sign in and go to FIndMyiPhone. If the iPod has been restored it will never show up.

How to (make best) use external js library from html object (need help from dev)

Ok, on another discussion about rotating full screen backgrounds slideshows, i was orientated to try a small lib named "backstrech"
I throw myself in, and i really like what we can do with it.
To use it simply, just make an html object and paste this in :

Now, i need some help from better developers.
As you can see, my first line is a call to jquery, the same that we find later in Muse exported code.
Reason 1 : without this line, jquery is not defined and the plugin won’t work.
This raises 2 issues :
- We load twice the same ressource which is useless (100k)
- loading js is all about having the page hangs while it loads, hence, they are put at the end of the body.
Does anybody know a way to load this particular html script AFTER we are sure the muse scripts (esp. jquery) have been loaded ?
(in the Edge Animate world, i’d go for the yepnope, and put it at the right place in the code, though, here i have no access to page load structure except head)
PS : in addition to that, i made an exported page/excluded from navigation where i put all the images i wanted for the background, i could then simply change the images lines :

2. In Muse: Go to File -> Add Files for Upload and add the script file

Need help regarding "Macbook Pro Distorted Video or No Video issues"

Hi there, I'm new and I'm kinda need help or opinion from all of you Mac users.
I have a MPB which is the first generation released 2005-2006, which its 4 years back. Now, the main problem is after 4 years of non-graphic problems, I encounter the NVIDIA graphics processor problems, which make my screen scrambled and unable to click or do anything. For some reason that Apple did say they will change/replace the graphic processor for free due faulty issue of the NVIDIA. But what I wanted to know and reconfirm is, since my MPB was 1st generation and version 2005/06, will Apple cover the change/replacement NVIDIA processor for free? Because I really need to have a confirmed answer before I went to the AASP in Malaysia, which I know they will make a fuss by asking me to pay with my previous incident which my battery deflect and charger/adapter melted. So, please kindly reply this post. Thank you for you time.

However, if you really do have the first MBP introduced in January 2006, it actually has a different video chip, the ATI Mobility Radeon X 1600, which unfortunately is not the NVIDIA chip covered by the NVIDIA program. So if that's what you have, you are out of luck for a free repair. ATI Mobility Radeon chips can also go bad, but there is no program that I know of that will cover them.
