I need help getting my music and videos to have sound again.

Today I noticed that the sound (music, games and videos) was not working on my Iphone 4. I can still hear updates, phone calls, ringing, text messages etc. I have backed up the phone and restored it, but that didnt work. If I plug head phones into the phone that works. I dont understand. Does anyone have any suggestions beforeI take it an Apple store or just get a new phone.

HELP!! : Music and Video lists have disappeared from i-touch 2nd Gen

Hi,
I've got the new iPod touch 16GB.
Today after synchronizing, all my Music and Video lists have disappeared from the menus. It also shows nothing in the iTunes browser, however the Storage bar on the summary screen is full with "Other", in an orange color but there's no media on it.
Does anyone know what's going on here and why I can't access the files any more?
Apps and other data were still there and all working fine.
Any help would be really appreciated.....

Too much (more than a few hundred MB) orange "Other" indicates an interrupted or corrupt sync.

Does it work with headphones plugged in? That is typically the culprit, the device mistakenly believes that a pair of headphones are plugged in.

No you cannot transfer purchases from one account to another account. Apple does not allow it and never has allowed it.
She can use you Apple ID on the device and switch between her ID and your ID, but that can cause problems at times and can become a bit of a pain.

How to get back music and video conent after updating ipod

I have recently updated my ipod touch. And when it restored tmy stuff back it only put back my photos and apps, but deleted my music and videos. I already tried restoring form an back-up and it did not work. please help, that was a lot of music.

The backup that itunes performs does not include any itunes content.

URGENTLY need to get back photos and videos my daughter deleted...

On the weekend my two year old has somehow deleted or reset my husband’s mobile which has wiped everything from the phone. My biggest concern is the 2,500+ photos and videos of our families memories. Unfortunately he had not linked it to itunes or download the files or linked to iclouds. Is there anyway PLEASE of getting these photos and videos back??!! Do you know of a program we can use? Im desperate to get these back as these are the only pics of my daughter from the last 2yrs.

They're gone. You're not going to get them back.
There are several lessons here.
Back up. Often. Apple has made backing up the iPhone brain dead simple. It will either back up to your computer every time you plug it in to sync with iTunes, or it can back up to iCloud on a daily basis with no user interaction at all so long as it's connected to WiFi and a power source.
Electronic devices fail. It's not a matter of if it will happen, it's only a matter of when.
Now go out and buy an external drive to backup your computer before some silly mishap ends up wiping your tax returns and other irreplacable documents.
Another lesson to take from this is that if you're going to let a 2 year old play with a $600 piece of electronic equipment, you might want to supervise things a little bit more closely... iOS has features built in to make sure that a chile (or an adult for that matter) can't get out of whatever app you want them to use and bork up the entire phone. Read the manual and look at the section on using "guided access".
Be thankful that you didn't learn another important lesson from this, which is "iPhones are made of glass, which is fragile". Giving something made of glass (or largely of glass) to a 2 year old to play with is downright stupid. What if she'd broken the glass and cut herself? It wouldn't be just memories you could potentially be missing then.

How to get my Music and videos from my Macbook pro to apple TV

I have some music and videos from my macbook that i have added to itunes from CD's and DVDs. Whenever i try to play music or movies on my apple TV it says that there is no music in the library. Is this because the items were not bought on itunes and were added from my computer??

If the music and video is compatible, it should play from Computers.
The Mac and iTunes must be running, the media files must be accessible on an internal or attached external drive.
I assume you have enabled Home Sharing.

Getting purchased music and video from itunes

I deleted some music and videos that i purchased from itunes store by accident from my computer. Is there a way that i can retrieve it from the store again without paying for it? I was able to view everything that I purchased but I couldn't find a way to download them again. Thanks

If you didn't make a back-up of your purchases to restore from then I'm sorry to say that the policy on lost purchases is that you have to pay to download them again:
"Once a Product is purchased and you receive the Product, it is your responsibility not to lose, destroy, or damage the Product, and Apple shall be without liability to you in the event of any loss, destruction, or damage." iTunes Store: Purchased content can be downloaded only once
You could try contacting the iTunes Music Store Customer Service and you might be able to persuade them to sanction a second free download. There have been occasional reports in the iTunes forum of this happening, however just be aware that they are not under any obligation to do so. HT1386 I need help getting my music to sync from iphone to computer itunes. Got a new computer and everything else will sync but my music from my iphone.

I use my work computer to sync my iphone due to outlook appointments and email. I was given a new computer and got everything transferred ok, except for my music. I need to transfer my music from my iphone to my computer itunes. itunes is only giving me the option to sync from itunes to iphone, which would wipe out all of my music I think. Can someone help with this?

razmee209 is right, but if you can't get your old computer, you can use iExplorer to download your music from your phone to your computer. I've used it for other things and it works.

Please HELP! My kid wiped my iPhone5 and I need to get my photos and videos off it! I have no backup with iTunes :(( Is there a way to scan the device manually?

New to this, so go easy on me. I recently got my first iDevice - an iPhone 5. I've used it for a month now and I have to say I love it.
But, I gave it to my kid this morning to look at. It was locked, so I assumed it was safe. WRONG. 5 mins later, I returned to him and my lovely iPhone5 was at the setup /pick your language screen! Looks like he entered the password incorrectly too many times and wiped it.
Now - I thought it would be fairly easy to recover the data and the apps - but it turns out this is not the case. I was never prompted to install iTunes and sync the device - not in the manual, not on the device when setting it up - so how was I to know that that would be my backup. I checked iCloud at a suggestion of an IT pal - nothing there, despite knowing that I had a Photo stream enabled. I may have disabled it only recently, but not sure if I can manually turn it on again?
Anyway - is there a way to manually scan my device and grab my all important photos and videos?

Desperately need help getting Flash music player to work correctly!

I'm working up a Flash template for a site that has a music player for 3 different tracks. The template came with 3 separate fla files for each track (Music1.fla, Music2.fla and Music3.fla), which I opened and imported my own mp3's into, set them to repeat only once, and then published the swf's. The music player works fine, but when the first song ends, the music stops unless you click on the next music track in the player. I'd like to have it where after the first song finishes it automatically starts playing the next song, then when it finishes the 3rd and final song it goes back to song one. How can I do this? Is it as easy as inserting some Actionscript into the Music fla's or would it have to be fixed in the player itself on the site's fla?

K, give this a shot.
All you need to do is duplicate the code on the buttons in the sound controller that load the three songs. So on the last frame of music1.fla, enter -
path="music2.swf";
loadMovieNum(path,1);
Do the same for the other music flas using the next song number. You may have to add _root. before the loadMovieNum command, so it would be:
_root.loadMovieNum(path,1);
This will only work if the mp3s are imbedded in the music flas. You will have to add a zillion frames to the timeline to see where the audio file ends, create a keyframe there and enter code on the keyframe.

Has anyone had the problem of the sound on the iPad not working on anything but the music and videos? The sound does not work on any of the apps.

Try reset iPad
Hold down the Sleep/Wake button and the Home button at the same time for at least ten seconds, until the Apple logo appears
Note: Data will not be affected.

NEED HELP GETTING NEW SOFTWARE AND ITUNES

Hello. I recently updated my iphone 4s to the most recent update. I don't know what it's called, sorry. Anyways, once I did this, my iphone was no longer recognized by itunes. It was recognized by my computer, however. Because of this I tried to download the newest itunes. It told me that I couldn't without 10.8.6 software. I did the "software update" on my computer and it did nothing. I then went onto the internet (apple) and tried to download 10.8.6. It said that I could not without 10.6. software? Anyways, I have been doing all that I can to get any sort of update but I'm not allowed to get anything since I lack 10.8.6 software. I trashed my old itunes as it was apart of the process of getting (what would be the new itunes) to recognize my phone. Now, I can't get itunes or any sort of software and I'm incredibly frustrated. I'm stuck and have no idea what to do or where to start. MY laptop is a macbook pro from 2009. (I am not tech savy and thus need basic explanations) I don't even know the software that I am currently running but please help. I am extremely frustrated as my music (which is one of the few things I use this computer for) is completely gone. HELP. Thank you so much

HT204053 Need help getting my music from iCloud match to my new macbook

I recently bought a new MacBook Pro.     I'm finally leaving Wintel behind. Yay!
Anyway, on my soon-to-be history PC, through my iTunes app on the PC, I paid the 29.95 to join iCloud Match, and it spent a few hours syncining all my itunes songs up to iCloud, including a few hours it spent uploading CD-sourced music on my PC that it couldn't match up automatically.    So far so good.
But now, I'm on my new Macbook pro, which came pre-loaded with iTunes, I'm trying to figure out how to assoicate my new MacBook Pro with the library my PC created in iCloud.      Ultimately, I just want to get rid of my PC, and have my new Mac be the device that houses my iTunes librarry, and to which I can attach my iPod from now on to sync with.
What's my next step?    Do I have to pay another 29 bucks via my MacBook to make it a valid device on the iCloud Match account?   Or is there a way I can just log into the new icloud account from my MacBook, to download the library?    I don't mind paying the 29 bucks again if that's what's necessary. That's not the issue.    I just want to start using my Mac as the "conduit to iTunes for my iPod", in the way that my PC used to be, so I can finally dump that PC.
Any suggestions??

Here's an update:   I decided to go through the new Mac, and try to at least Authorize it into my iTunes account throught the itunes app on the MacBook, to see what happened.    Well, I got a message on the Mac that I have exceeded the limit of 5 computers that could be associated with my itunes library.
Most of these are old computers I've long since thrown away.    So, I want to disable them.   But Apple only gives the option, to "Deauthorize All".    Which thereafter, I assume I can just enable the new Mac.    But here's my worry:
When I "deauthorize all" will that have any effect on the integrity of the library I have sitting in iCloud?? By deauthorizing all computers, and then just re-enabling one (my new Mac), is there ANY way in this process that all the songs I've purchased through itunes AND all the songs I've CD-imported on my old computer that were all uploaded to iCloud ---- that nothing will be lost or erased???
