I have a e-machine and i just purchased a ibook G4. I am about to connect to the internet via Dial-up. If I connect to the internet with my emachine pc, can I do the BLUE TOOTH thing with my ibook G4? or bi-versa? Which one did you advised me to do? Which will be an ISP better to used?

1. You still have not answered the first question I asked: are both computers equipped with Bluetooth?
2. I have not tried Internet connection sharing over Bluetooth, but — based on reading the documentation — I suspect it would work in the following way, assuming both computers are equipped with Bluetooth:2.1. First, you will need to pair the iBook and the e-machines PC so they recognize each other via Bluetooth.
2.2. I'd then connect the iBook to the Internet via dial-up.
2.3. I'd then follow the instructions in "Mac OS X 10.4 Help: Sharing your Internet connection" to share the iBook's Internet connection, selecting your dial-up connection (Internal Modem) in step 2 and Bluetooth in step 3.
2.4. You will probably need to take additional steps on the PC for it to use its Bluetooth capabilities as its Internet connection, but for those you will need to look into Windows Help.Good luck!

Remote App on iPad connects but drops after about 20 mins. Need to turn off wait about 1 minute, then turn on wifi on iMac before it can reconnect. Need some help please.

I got my artwork and saved it to my Desktop
Opened up Microsoft Paint and clicked on "File" and "Open" and found it to get it on the screen to resize it
Clicked "resize" and a box for changing it opened up
Checked the box "Pixels" and "Unchecked maintain aspect ratio"
Set Horizontal for 640 and Vertical for 480
Clicked on "OK" and went back to "File" and did a "Save As" and chose JPEG Picture
It came up "File Already Existed" and clicked "OK" (really did not care about the original artwork I found because wrong size)
Went to iTunes and on the movie right clicked on "Get Info", clicked on "Details", then "Artwork"
Go to the little box on the top left that shows your old artwork and click on it to get the little blue border to appear around it and hit "Delete" to make it gone
Click on "Add Artwork" and find it where you put the one from above on your Desktop and hit "Open" and OK and your new artwork is now there and all good.
Sounds like a lot of steps to follow but after around 5 or so you will fly through it. This worked perfect on my iPhone 6 Plus and I have artwork on my Home Videos now. -
I want to get iBook, Facebook and Skype to my iphone 4.2.1 through my iTune, but I coudn't because it is said that it requires a newer version of iOS. Please I need your help. Thanks
If your iPhone can't be updated to a higher iOS version then the only way to get them is if you downloaded versions of them which were compatible with iOS 4.2.1 and you still have copies of those versions somewhere e.g. on your computer or on a backup - only the current version of each app is available in the store, and as apps (and other content) are tied to the account that downloads them, you will need to have older copies that are linked to your id

You might try a forced shutdown to begin with, hold down the top and home buttons together until the device shuts down, then restart it. -
Hi, my iphone its in recovery mode and when i restore my iphone 5s loading show the blue screen and show note on itunes (unknown error 14) please i need your help please . thanks
In the article Resolve iOS update and restore errors this is what it says about error 14:
Check your USB connections
Related errors: 13, 14, 1600, 1601, 1602, 1603, 1604, 1611, 1643-1650, 2000, 2001, 2002, 2005, 2006, 2009, 4005, 4013, 4014, or “invalid response."
If the USB connection between your device and computer is interrupted, you may be unable to update or restore.
To narrow down the issue, you can also change up your hardware:
Use the USB cable that came with your device, or a different Apple USB cable.
Plug your cable into a different USB port directly on your computer. Don't plug it into your keyboard.
Try a different computer.
If necessary, resolve any further issues with the USB connection, then with your security software.
If you're still seeing the error message, check for hardware issues by following the next section. -
my iphone 3g is stuck on the connect to itunes mode and it wont show up on itunes. itunes hasnt even detected it on recovery mode. what do i do i really need my phone.. please help
Please stop altering the fonts, it makes reading postings extremely difficult. If help is desired, making postings difficult to read is not the way to get help.
Put the device in DFU mode (google it), then restore. -
I just bought a new iPhone and accidentally backed it up with my old iPhone backup, I do not want this. I lost everything on my new phone and I need it back. PLEASE HELP! This includes pictures and texts, etc.
So just to be clear, when you say "just bought" how long ago was that? Is it on this new iPhone that you had pictures, texts, etc that you want? Were you backing up to iCloud or onto iTunes?
This may not help for everything but if you go to iCloud.com and log in, are you able to find your pictures there? -
Hi can anyone help me. I have a apple macbook laptop OSX 10.5.8 . When i push print, it shows my printer but says cannot communicate with printer. (epson stylus nx125). Do I need new drivers? Please help . regards Cindy

Some basic printer troubleshooting steps before worrying about a printer driver:
1. Have you tried turning the printer off and back on?
2A. Is the printer attached with a cable?
If yes, have you tried unplugging and re-plugging both ends of the printer cable?
If that does not help, can you test the printer with another cable?
2B. If your printer is not connected to the computer with a cable, have you tried restarting your printer (assuming wireless connection)?
Have you tried restarting your wireless router?
3. Have you tried restarting your MacBook? (Be sure to save your work first.)
4. Does the printer have ink? (Doesn't usually generate a 'communications error' though)
5. Have you updated OS X or the program you're trying to print from recently? -
I am the biggest "Newb" on this site, and I really need some help please..
Ok, the short of it.... I started training on Database programming about 2 weeks ago. I still don't really know a thing, or even understand the concepts. Now, my boss wants me to fix a bug in Oracle, and I haven't a clue. The ONLY help I've gotten was a link to this forum, and a speech about how I need to help myself. I told him I have the same chance of fixing anything, as monkeys typing hamlet. Anyone up for a challenge?
When I go to Application System, then Application Entry and enter the password a dialog box appears.... "FRM-40039: Cannot attatch library Empower while opening from APPUSRAPP."
That's what I have to fix. I have no clue. I don't even really know how to click around in this program. Please help, someone.
UPDATE: I've been told that everyone's pretty much going to be a jerk to me for asking this, and I'm currently searching old threads and can't find a way to delete this one I posted. So, you could just ignore the post, or jump in and be the internet tough-guy and tell me what I already know.... I'm a newb.

Hi! I got Movies on my external hard drive that are AVI kind and won't play on my macbook pro? When I start playing the movie a message pops up and says "a required codec is not available". I tried flip4mac, xvid, divx already and still not playing my video. need some help please!! thanks.
Although vlc mentioned above is a much more powerful and better player you could try installing Perian if you insist on using the quicktime player. It may supply the codec it needs.
Not sure why you wouldn't be able to play straight avi files though in quicktime. -
I need a help !!! Please ,I dropped my iPhone 5 in toilet and I didn't get fast maybe 5mins before I get it because I didn't notice drop it and it won't work now it's almost 1week I'm waiting it still it don't work ... But when I plug my charger it goes light and show up apple logo and die again I don't know what to do and it's so expensive here at Japan pls.. Help maybe there still way to get it work again

Please I need some help with a table

I need some help with a table.
My table needs to hold prices that the user can update.
Also has a total of the column.
my question is if the user adds in a new price how can i pick up the value they have just entered and then add it to the total which will be the last row in the table?
I have a loop that gets all the values of the column, so I can get the total but it is when the user adds in a new value that I need some help with.
I have tried using but as I need to set the toal with something like total
totalTable.setValueAt(total, totalTable.getRowCount()-1,1); I end up with an infinite loop.
Can any one please advise on some way I can get this to work ?

I have os 10.5.8 software on my mac and I need to update the software on my mac so I can update my iphone 4s, every time I try to update my mac with the 6.0 it says it doesn't need any updates, but my mac still has 10.5.8.... any help?? Please...
You must first buy Snow Leopard from Apple: 800-MY-APPLE (in the US)

I have QuickTime Player 7.6.8, I cannot update or remove it b/c I am missing QuickTime.msi file. It is gone and I need it back. Please help.
Unfortunately, this sort of trouble has gotten more complicated to deal with ever since Microsoft pulled the Windows Installer CleanUp utility from their Download Center on June 25. First we have to find a copy of the utility.
Let's try Googling. (Best not to use Bing, I think.) Look for a working download site for at least version 3.0 of the Windows Installer CleanUp utility. After downloading the utility installer file (msicuu2.exe), scan the file for malware, just in case. (I use the free version of Malwarebytes AntiMalware to do single-file scans for that.)
If the file is clean, to install the utility, doubleclick the msicuu2.exe file you've downloaded.
Now run the utility ("Start > All Programs > Windows Install Clean Up"). In the list of programs that appears in CleanUp, select any QuickTime entries and click "Remove".
Quit out of CleanUp, restart the PC and try installing iTunes again. Does the install go through properly now?
(If you do find a clean download site for the correct version of CleanUp, please don't tell me where it is. Without wishing to sound paranoid (although I grant it does sound paranoid), there is a non-zero chance that posting links to download locations for the utility here at Discussions leads to that download location being shut down.)
