I forgot my securtiy questions and i need help so that i can buy music on itunes

If you have a rescue email address (which is not the same thing as an alternate email address) set up on your account then go to https://appleid.apple.com/ and click 'Manage your Apple ID' on the right-hand side of that page and log into your account. Then click on 'Password and Security' on the left-hand side of that page and on the right-hand side you should see an option to send security question reset info to your rescue email address.
If you don't have a rescue email address (you won't be able to add one until you can answer 2 of your questions) then you won't get the reset option - you will need to contact iTunes Support or Apple to get them reset.
e.g. you can try contacting iTunes Support : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Account Management , and then 'Forgotten Apple ID security questions'
or try ringing Apple in your country and ask to talk to the Accounts Security Team : http://support.apple.com/kb/HE57
When they've been reset (and if you don't already have a rescue email address) you can then use the steps half-way down this page to add a rescue email address for potential future use : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5312 . Or, if it's available in your country, you could change to 2-step verification : http://support.apple.com/kb/HT5570

  • I need help to change the password to my Apple ID

I have two apple ID's I made the second one for my iCloud when I bought my iPad not knowing that I could have used my normal Apple ID that I use for everything else. Now I cant sign out of that apple ID in my icloud on all three of my devices my iphone 4, my ipad and my iphone 5 I currently use, because I cannot for the life of me remember my password!
I have tried everything I can remember and none of the passwords I was sure would work, works. So first of all I tried to have apple send me an email to reset my password and no email is received in my email account from apple, I have checked my other two email addresses I use thinking maybe I entered those as my alternate email addresses and there is nothing from apple in either of them for this particular apple ID. Then I tried the option to answer my security questions and it doesn't even recognise my date of birth linked with this apple ID! which is ridiculous because the account is mine. So I started googleing and found that I could change my normal apple id with the one I want to change the password to but when I enter that email it says 'email must be valid,be available and not be a domain owned by apple' and it wont let me save that email address to do that.
Then I found a video on youtube that tells you how to unlock it and delete it from your device without the password but it only works if the icloud is actually signed in and mine isn't signed in so I can't even do that, mine is signed out on all my devices but still on my phones and ipad and everything is grey so I cant click into anything! and every time I use my phone or ipad and go into safari or anything else a box pops up every two seconds asking me to sign into icloud its soo frustrating to have to click cancel every single time and now that I'm so fed up with it I thought I would now reset my password thinking it wouldn't be hard to do as I usually forget my passwords to almost everything and am constantly resetting them its become the most difficult thing to do with apple!
I called apple support and they were trying to get me to do all these things in my settings and nothing worked! I've been needing to call them back and ask if there is a way they can just reset my password for me or if my phone number is linked with my apple ID so maybe they could text me my reset key, does anybody know if they can do that? usually these days everything can be texted to you like my email provider and net bank providers but Apple seem to not even have that option or can anyone tell me how I can hack into my own account? also I went to that "find my apple ID" thing when you go to sign in and popped in all my possible email addresses, either all together or one each with my name and it wont find this apple ID I'm locked into it's like it doesn't even exists anymore but it does exists I remember creating it, its still on all my devices with my picture there as well! I've even been thinking I should go to a hypnotist or something to help me remember this password its making me so frustrated I've never had a password of mine that I have forgotten that I've never been able to reset or crack back into but Apple makes this so difficult. can anybody help?

    Restore it.

  • Need help with boot up password

Hi I need help with my IBM G41 think pad I when to sleep one night and I put some papers on the keys then close the lid with the papers in between on top of the keys now I get need a password when I started my PC can some some help me with this . Or is there any one whom had this some problem . I see a lock on the screen .

Sorry if this seems like a stupid question, but why don't you have the password already? did the computer just randomly lock you out of it? If that is the case, that would be really strange. If there is no bios password on the computer, you should be able to reset the password in the bios.

  • I got my mac from granddaughter.need help to change admin password

i just got my mac from granddaughter. i need help to change the admin password. she has no clue what i am talking about when i ask for the password. please help me. i can't even install my tiger replacement cd until i change the admin password. thanks for your help. lee

Hi, Lee. Welcome to Apple Support Communities.
From this Apple Knowledge Base article:
Start up from a Mac OS X Install disc (one whose version is closest to the version of Mac OS X installed).  Usually, you can start from the disc by putting it in your computer, restarting, and holding the C key. Or, put it in the computer and click the Install or Restore icon you see in the disc's main window (after which the computer will start from the disc without you needing to hold C). Or, you can use Startup Manager or the Startup Disk preference pane to select the Install disc.
Choose a language, click the arrow button to continue,
Mac OS X v10.6 or later: Choose Password Reset from the Utilities menu.
Mac OS X v10.5 or v10.4: Choose Reset Password from the Utilities menu.
Mac OS X v10.3: Choose Reset Password from the Installer menu.
Tip: If you don't see this menu or menu choice, you're probably not started from the disc yet.
Note: The default keyboard layout is U.S. English while started from the installation disc. If you use a keyboard layout other than U.S English, use the Input menu (the flag icon on the right side of the menu bar) to select the desired layout before typing a new password.
Select your Mac OS X hard disk volume.
Select the user name of your original administrator account.
Important: Do not select "System Administrator (root)". This is actually the root user. You should not confuse it with a normal administrator account.

  • Re: I need help with wi-fi password

i need help with wi-fi pass word

I am trying to connect my iPhone with my wireless router and looks to be rejecting the password I have saved for my password for my rounter. I tried emailing for it and the support page for this is not recognizing what I think would have been the email I had at the time it was set up--we are currently not using that email address--and tried by current internet email and it's rejecting that too. I registered as a new user to get in to look for help on this. My previous email probably would have been [email protected]
I have my serial number and such to my router (model: WRT54GSv1.1) if needed. Please advise.

  • Im new to this and need help with putting a password on my wireless

I've had my linksys router for a few years now and recently have been asked to secure it so no one else in the neighborhood can connect to it but me but Ive never known how and I cannot find the installation CD for it.  I have a model number# WRT54G.  I tried searchin the forums but couldn't seem to find one I could understand.  If anyone could please offer me some help on how to simply put a password on it so just my computer and the others in the house can access the wifi thatd be great.  Thanks

To set up wireless security, you must use a computer that is wired to the router.
Where to find the router settings: The router's login password is usually on one of the "Administration" pages. The other settings are all found in the "Wireless" or "Wireless Security" section of the router's setup pages, located at 192.168.1.1
First, give your router a unique SSID. Don't use "linksys".
Make sure "SSID Broadcast" is set to "enabled".
Next, leave the router at its default settings (except for the unique SSID), and then use your pc to connect wirelessly to the router. Test your wireless Internet connection and make sure it is working correctly. You must have a properly working wireless connection before setting up wireless security.
To implement wireless security, you need to do one step at a time, then verify that you can still connect your wireless computer to the router.
Next, encrypt your wireless system using the highest level of encryption that all of your wireless devices will support. Common encryption methods are:
WEP - poor (see note below)
WPA (sometimes called PSK, or WPA with TKIP) - good
WPA2 (sometimes called PSK2, or WPA with AES) - best
WPA and WPA2 sometimes come in versions of "personal" and "enterprise". Most home users should use "personal". Also, if you have a choice between AES and TKIP, and your wireless equipment is capable of both, choose AES. With any encryption method, you will need to supply a key (sometimes called a "password" ).
The wireless devices (computers, printers, etc.) that you have will need to be set up with the SSID, encryption method, and key that matches what you entered in the router.
Retest your system and verify that your wireless Internet connection is still working correctly.
And don't forget to give your router a new login password.
Picking Passwords (keys): You should never use a dictionary word as a password. If you use a dictionary word as a password, even WPA2 can be cracked in a few minutes. When you pick your login password and encryption key (or password or passphrase) you should use a random combination of capital letters, small letters, and numbers, but no spaces. A login password, should be 12 characters or more. WPA and WPA2 passwords should be at least 24 characters. Note: Your key, password, or passphrase must not have any spaces in it.
Most home users should have their routers set so that "remote management" of the router is disabled. If you must have this option enabled, then your login password must be increased to a minumum of 24 random characters.
One additional issue is that Windows XP requires a patch to run WPA2.   The patch is located in SP3, so you will need SP3 to run WPA2.
    Note:
WEP is no longer recommended. The FBI has demonstrated that WEP can be cracked in just a few minutes using software tools that are readily available over the Internet. Even a long random character password will not protect you with WEP. You should be using WPA or preferably WPA2 encryption.

  • Helpful Tip - Forgot Device Password....

This is just a helpful post for a user that doesn't know the best methods to get your device working again without hard resetting device because they forgot their systems password for their device.  The following video is a method that has worked for users and should be a helpful bit of knowledge..
    Hope this helps..

There is no way to reset the password, however, if you enter the password incorrectly 10 times it will wipe the BlackBerry and let you set it up as new.

  • Need help.. changed the password on my phones,, it won't take the new password and now my phone is disabled.. what do i do now?can't restore it caz i can't get in to it to shut off find my phone life iTunes is telling me to do. what do i do now???

    can't restore phone. need help

    Hi yana79,
Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
I know that it can be frustrating when your iPhone becomes disabled due to passcode. In this situation, if you cannot remember your passcode, you will need to restore. If you have a backup in either iTunes or iCloud, you can restore from that backup. Keep in mind that the backup you restore from will have the passcode attached to it that was enabled at the time of the backup. Please use the attached article for more information.
